I came here back in 2008. I was at my lowest point in my life. I lost everything that mattered including myself & I was more than ready. I had already been to a few different treatment facilities before this point but i wasn’t never ready. I was doing it for the courts or for my concerned family. You have to do it for yourself. I finally hit that “rock bottom” I kept hearing about. I lost the father of my daughter to an overdose and then custody of my daughter soon after. I was there at the bottom of the dark pit I dug for myself. But there is light and little by little I dug myself out. But with work!! Fairview was my first step and I really loved this place. I had the best counselor(I can’t remember her name, maybe Ms. Cheryl?)and group members. I met some really cool people that I still talk to sometimes. This place helped to start my healing journey. I continued with outpatient treatment, got a full time job, my first apartment & I finally got my daughter back. She is now 18 and doing great. I’m happily married with a very strong support system. It’s possible to change & I highly recommend this place.

I was in Fairview in 1997 and I had the best councilor, I have remained clean for 20 plus years, awesome place but you have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired!

This is a good place for you & your children, it’s structured but as long as you’re seeking change& recovery then this is the place. To keep yourself & your child. I recommend Claire House. The staff is great. (Btw the old reviews is from when they had old owners)

Wow, I'm shocked at previous reviewers. I don't know their whole story, but I'll share mine.
The office staff were kind, respectful, and knew me by name after the first week.
The therapists I met with were professional, used up to date research and evidence based interventions.
I had a miscommunication issue about money, and the director called me herself to make sure she understood my issue. She listened and understood. More than working out the money, she was safe and trustworthy to problem solve with.
I would recommend the Shephearst experience to anyone.

This place has been a life changer for me. The head director and other alumni are more than willing to help you in your time in need. They tell you what you need to hear and don't beat around the bush about it. Support like that is invaluable especially when the community is also willing to accept you for who you are and pass no judgement what so ever no matter what your past might be.

Powerhouse was a great experience. It helped me to be grateful for everything I have in my life. I was given an amazing opportunity to practice the principles I learned in my inpatient program. I was given opportunities to help others and bond with fellow patients. The staff are all Powerhouse alumni and are very passionate and knowledgeable about recovery. I am extremely fortunate to have gone through the Powerhouse program and absolutely recommend this facility to anyone struggling with addiction who is looking for a path to recovery.

Can't speak for today, but I entered Tau Center 3/5/95 (29.5 years ago. Week 1 in the detox ward, 2 in the inpatient wing, 3&4 outpatient. I have now been sober 10,797 days, ODAT!! God is good!!

i was admitted here in January 2022 as an adolescent with thoughts of suicide. for some background info this was not my first psych ward. i immediately knew this place was different when i was admitted. for those of you who don’t know/ haven’t been in this situation you are required to strip to be checked and they are required to take photos of self-harm scars if present, which they didn’t do. further more i wasn’t seen by a counselor until day 2, or a doctor until day 4. the counselor, Ms. Tasha was helpful, i opened up to her about my disorders and my feelings. however, i never saw my doctor for more than 10 minutes each time he visited, and when i did i was only asked the same 5 questions. the questions only had to do with my medicine, sleep, and appetite. my doctor was also unaware that his nurse put me on adderal. most techs did nothing and only interacted when it came to the basic necessities of their job. with the exception of Ms. Laura Lee, Ms. Cathy, and a few others. overall it was an awful experience and if your child truly needs mental help, i highly suggest that they aren’t sent here.

I turned to Victory when I was at the end of the road and felt I had nowhere else to turn. Victory gave me not only the chance to live again but also the tools to face life’s struggles and grow from them. Life hasn’t been perfect since Victory, but I’m a better person because of it.
I don’t think many people wake up excited to walk into an inpatient facility, but if I ever had to do it again, I’d want it to be here. The staff and patients truly felt like family. We grew together — supporting each other through every step. The days are structured and purposeful, filled with small groups, community sessions, and learning opportunities that all have meaning.
If you’re reading reviews wondering if this is the right place for you, give it a try. You can always leave if it’s not a fit — but you might not get another chance if you pass this one up. Victory helped save my life, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

I have only ever been to one other treatment center. (if you could even call the 1st that) and just by the level of care, commitment, compassion shown, and individual concern shown by each and every one of the members at NOLA DETOX, ALL of whom go above and beyond for every single patient and/or resident that comes into their care. Words alone, just simply cannot describe. If you are just sick of living the way you have been. Or you want to be the person that you know you are capable of being. You owe it to yourself to give yourself the best chance of recovery success you can find and call the people at NOLA DETOX. From the executive director Cedric Royal. The head nurse Ms. Opal. All of the resident nurses, Yoshi, Jovianna, Stephanie, Ariel, Sam, just to name a few. Then there are the techs Jonathan, Danielle, Derrick, Kevin, Ms. Aqua, Cherry, India, Hunter, Adam, Ms. Kendra, and yes, even Patrick.(😁Lol). Jonathan, my counselor has been a godsend in innumerable ways, and is a wonderful person and someone who I call not just a friend. But a brother. And that is a very beautiful thing, indeed...The entirety of it is a one of a kind experience that you receive there that let's you know NOLA DETOX is NOT JUST ANOTHER treatment facility. They are all a FAMILY, and the environment and atmosphere I recommend and suggest highly to anyone looking for treatment to reach out to admissions without hesitation... Residential treatment and their follow-up IOP services are both first class. And they are what I owe my recovery, my health, and my present-day sobriety to. As well as the wellbeing and sobriety of some people whom I love dearly. Including my fiance. and I do not even want to imagine where my life would be right now if I had not have had the courage to take that initial step and actually held my own self accountable for the way my life had become. It was MY actions and MY choices that had led to the unmanageable state of a mess that my life was in. Having tried it my way so many times and each time falling short, I was so close to giving up. And what a shame and waste of life that would have been. Therefore I'm glad I didn't give up. Instead I gave in, gave it to my lord and savior, and gave the caring professionals at NOLA DETOX a call. I have gone a couple times and the staff have been great I would recommend this place before anywhere else and I have been to other place. About the mental obsession and the physical allergy. You'll see what it means to see someone love and live his calling in helping others. From Miss Tori recieving you on Day 1 when your nervous and scared She'll make you feel calm and at ease before passing you to the next person. To Mr Rick doing your admission even he makes you feel at ease and relaxed and Your treated as a human being without any judgements sometimes you forget what it is to be treated like a person and not be seen as something less. From the Counslers Mr Alfred, Brandon. They really take helping you in your journey really serious. As long as your respectful and mindful and respect their time and effort they put in helping you without even knowing you but all these staff members show you love and kindness that you haven't experienced in a long time. and without any judgment and putting you down becasue they been in your shoes and know what you are feeling and going thru casue basically all have been where you are. This is a life changing program trust me when it say that and I garuntee if you really want and take your sobriety serious then this is where you want to go and be. Please if your second guessing if you should go just take the leap of faith and go. you won't regret it and you'll be glad you did. The place is super clean . The food is amazing. Your stay is very comfortable. They try to remove any obstacle that can or will deter you from achieving sobriety so that you can just focus on you and your sobriety. I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

Woodlake changed my life. The staff there was very good to me and worked with me whenever I needed anything. Kevin James tells you exactly what you need to hear, and the people who can’t handle that sadly are probably just not ready to change their ways. After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting.
