After my granddaughter was admitted to Riverplace, I was nervous and skeptical about her stay. After speaking with the nursing staff, I wanted to speak with someone in Administration, and I had the opportunity to speak with Joshua, the CEO. He assured me that she would be in good hands.
After her discharge, she shared that they treated her like family and made her feel very safe and comfortable throughout her stay.
Thank you, Riverplace, for the care, compassion, and professionalism shown to my granddaughter and our family.

La Place, LA | River Parishes Treatment Center in LaPlace, Louisiana, is one of over six outpatient behavioral health clinics operated by the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority. This CARF-accredited behavioral network provides evidence-based substance use recovery and prevention, mental health care and services for gambling and tobacco cessation. T | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Idk what all these people’s problems are with the 1 star but I’ve been going here for years and have never had a problem. Staff at the front desk are always pretty nice. The only thing I’ve had an issue with was sometimes the appointments run late so I’m waiting in the waiting room a while but I feel like that’s how doctor appointments can be with mental health anything can come up. But ever since coming here it’s been the easiest to get my medications that I need on the daily and they do seem to care unlike what some people have said. The lady that left a review about them “calling” ICE, maybe you should have proper documentation and you wouldn’t feel that way.

At this place, no one cares if you get your meds on time or not. The only good thing here is about three nurses, who do all they can, but their work is not enough, they do as much as they can. This center is a joke, the worst clinic ever!

Luling, LA | St. Charles Parish Hospital - Psychiatric Unit part of a multi departmental hospital in Luling, Louisiana. While they have everything here from oncology to podiatry, this behavioral health department treats addiction and mental illness. They’re a facility of the Ochsner Health network. St. Charles Parish Hospital – Psychiatry & Behavio | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Didn't have a problem until I had to bring my 80 year old father in with a clogged catheter after a cancer surgery and the doctor on call literally sat there watching him at a 10 for 4 hours and refused to change it unless he got orders and we ended up leaving with them doing nothing and having to change it ourselves...(I’ve changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.
I’m still very upset about one doctor—Dr. Gautma Dixit—who watched my dad reach a 10/10 on the pain scale, then ignored him and walked away.
That said, every other doctor and nurse has been professional, compassionate, and kind. On top of that, the team reached out to me to investigate the issue, which genuinely showed they care. That’s why I’m updating my rating.)

Kim, Dionne, Monique, Michelle, Yvonne and Yasmin go above and beyond. My elder loved one has had issues with being suicidal and violent. The staff handled it with grace and understanding. When my loved one was threatening staff they used gentle redirection and accountability. Doctors try to manage meds as best as possible but it's so hard on a 14day PEC.
Only criticism is that MDs couldn't give her more time for med adjustments and stability of mood. I know a lot of people have elder family members who go through mental health challenges but in this area? Have gone through a few with my loved one.
Perimeter is okay too, very caring people but the physicians at Perimeter did not do as much as the physicians at Oceans have done! Out of several hospitals and mental health facilities the physicians at Oceans have been the only ones willing to treat her mental challenges by observing and watching. Making changes through medication management and obverving again.
Beacon team in Metarie are amazing (ask for Katherine). But AVOID BEACON IN LACOMBE!!! They will put your loved one in an unsafe discharge situation. Avoid social worker Shaun.
Oceans? They would never do that. It's not 5 star, but take it from someone who definitely understands family/ patient challenges-- Have faith in Oceans. They will surprise you.

Narcanon Louisiana is a safe haven. This is a place that can help you drastically change your life if that’s what you need. The entire staff has first-hand knowledge of what a drug addict is going through, and that carries a lot of weight toward rehabilitation guidance. The tactics used here are outside of the box, and they are teaching powerful methods of conflict resolution that can be applied in so many life situations. A person always has to be proactive in their own path in life, and this program shows you how to forgive yourself and move forward in a more meaningful way than previously experienced. I will be forever grateful to Narconon Louisiana.

I left Narconon in September of 2022.
I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family.
Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members.
This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve.
From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives.
The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. The unrivaled support and relationships you acquire here will last you a lifetime, but you have to first be honest with yourself.
I don’t mean to put down anyone’s subjective experience, however, the one star views prove to me presence of an intense bias.
Proof? Why are there no 2 or 3 star votes? How is something either 5 stars or 1?
Contemplate that for a second like I have and you will come to the reasonable conclusion that those 1 star-raters have a strong emotional bias towards situations that they feel they were victim to.
This place only means to help!

Louisiana is ranked 33rd nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,822.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Louisiana vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Louisiana. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Louisiana that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options.
