I'm very thankful for the staff, doctor's, nurse,counselors,and techs. When I came I was lost, and now that I'm graduating I have been fine. The counselors taught me how to handle my feelings and to learn coping skills to deal with my diagnosis. Everybody welcomed me with open arms and that made me feel like one big happy family. I recommend anybody that is dealing with a diagnosis and don't know how to handle it to try them out. It worked for me and it can work for you. Thank everybody

First off I have been with SCLHSA for almost 2 decades now. Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

The staff were amazing. Detox they took very good care Of me. No one knew my bad behavior, caused by seizures. 5 different types. Walking talking worst. I'm mean violent, after seizures. They dealt with me, kindly, I wasn't nice at all. I still have doctors they set me up with. 5/6 years ago, I was there. Before you judge staff, look at yourself. Detox, is hard. The medication assisted program makes the road to recovery easier and possible. Unfortunately TriCare East is not accepted! I brought it to their attention being that they advertise TriCare . The issues that occurred in my treatment all stemmed from this not accepting TriCare .Otherwise,the program will assist you in finding your way back.

Palmetto is the best treatment center in Louisiana by far. Stuart, Jerry, Joseph and Beck have certainly changed my life for the better. I would say that they gave me a life. A second chance! I would recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction. From the medical staff to the techs this place is A1 and they also accept medicaid.

Palmetto saved my life! I was reluctant but I m blessed to have had the opportunity to receive treatment at this facility & work on myself for 90 days. I absolutely love the staff and care I receive from the Louisiana VA. I keep seeing all of the negativity that seems to be expressed due to one specific situation, but I can say if there was a bad situation that I have had someone was there to correct it immediately. I absolutely appreciate all of my providers and how they have been able to accomplish more than any of the other states VA's that I have received care from. Thank you for all of your hard work that you do day in and day out. Just remember to stay awesome!

I have been to quite a few different VA facilities throughout different states and so far the Louisiana VA has been nothing but amazing and has helped me in a number of positive ways. Honestly they are the reason me and my family stay in Louisiana otherwise we would have moved anywhere else but here. Thank you for everything, I appreciate all the help I have received and the staff are nothing but welcoming and friendly.
