So not knowing anything about Avenues right? I was in the hospital in Berlin MD and told them please don't let me leave ending up at the front doors of Avenue's in Cambridge MD. Where I was welcomed in at the very beginning by the medical staff and a few stand outs are Que,Jonae,Ms Karen,Ms Lisa is my heart she's amazing! Hello, everyone my name is Donnell Vannison Sr,I am a pleased Alumni family member,I been to about 17 recovery centers,and I left most of them, however I stayed here at Avenues because of the way they really made me feel they care not just for my recovery but my life as well ❤️🩹 they really care and want us to get and say clean, they even offer us the opportunity to have a life with them should we stay Blessed and clean we can come back and work at Avenues,and should we need help again the door is always open to us to show us how to live again,and Ms.Loraine,is a big part of Avenues heart ❤️ she, shows us that we all can live and enjoy life together and get this, with out a drug! I just left Banyan today, and I can't possibly say enough to express how wonderful everyone there was!! My therapist, Sabrina, was amazingly kind, understanding and knowledgeable and truly helped me a lot, especially with my anxiety and coping with past trauma. My case manager, Matt, was there whenever I needed something from him and was also incredibly kind. The techs are beyond awesome, Rose especially, all of them always going the extra mile for me and everyone else. The group facilitators I can't thank enough, like Liz, Cali and Pat, truly helping me to recognize my self-worth and learn how to actually execute healthy coping mechanisms, not just know about them. The nurses, like Megan and Anna and Christina are so kind, patient and helpful. Even my driver, Andy, was instrumental in my recovery there, being incredibly insightful and helpful. Please, please, ANYONE who is struggling with any sort of addiction, give Banyan at least a try. They will help you turn around and save your life more than you could ever expect. My husband (a veteran) went to the ER this morning. Come to find out, he has to get his gallbladder removed! When we got home he went straight to sleep and I went ahead and was trying to get everything set up for him (surgery, consult appointment, etc). I had so much trouble and unhelpful people on the phone through the general VA line. On a whim, I came into this clinic needing help on a situation regarding his surgery. I was met with a very, very nice lady named Miesha. She went above and beyond to help me. She gave me tips and advice on what to do next time this would happen (my husband hasn’t been to the ER under VA insurance until today). She went out of her way to show me things that she didn’t need to, and even provided me a Manila envelope and a binder clip for all my documents! From there, Kim (a nurse) took over and also went above and beyond to help me! I let her know how much pain my husband was in and got the head nurse to help! While waiting, she was so nice to converse with and I enjoyed getting to know her. Christine was amazing in ensuring we would get into a surgery consult ASAP. She’s very kind and straight to the point! She was very eager to help me. I am not a veteran myself, so the fact that I spent at least an hour there getting information from everyone and they didn’t make a DIME off of me is something that’s unheard of nowadays. My wife and I have always found the Teen Challenge thrift store staff to be friendly, helpful and welcoming. The building and layout is tastefully decorated and well lit and organized for easy "browsing". You can even grab a bite to eat at Smiths at the same time! The doctors,nurses and other professionals there really care about their patients,my late husband has cancer really bad and we had just moved to the area .Doctor Gonzalez got us right in and made a difficult time a little easier ,he even waited after hour to give my husband a prescription he really needed.Then I started seeing Doctor Alarcon and he is great ,very caring and concerned ,always answers questions with respect and concern.They are an important part of our community and have several locations .The nurses and staff are always pleasant and they have nice waiting rooms and dentist ,mental health ,and pediatric ,general care ,they have it all .

If you want to get sober, then go here. It was free since I had Maryland insurance. They do not mess around. Mary was a huge support as a therapist.
When you're on your 4th week, knock on room 301 to arrange for your discharge plans. Otherwise, you may get an extension. Also, go to Frank if you have any issues. They'll help you out.

Very lovely experience. I went in here for an unrelated reason. But I had a very good time speaking with 2 of the nurses at the reception center. Those ladies gave me more information than the 5 Doctor's offices i had visited earlier today. I wish them well. And I definitely recommend you visit for whatever you might need.
