I am truly grateful for Springhill Recovery. Immediately I was made to feel at ease, safe & secure. I quickly realized that I was in competent, caring hands with all of the staff that I met. I learned so much about myself here! I can see where I need to work on a few things and I now have some of the tools to do that, thanks to the amazing groups, clinicians, RS staff & case managers at Springhill. I leave here confident in my sobriety & excited to continue my recovery program. I will seek connections with other people who are also in recovery because I’ve learned that absolutely nobody can do this alone! In December 2024 after going through detox at Charles River I had nowhere to go. I was homeless and I was a veteran. The staff reached out and was willing to take me within a few days. I was sent to this amazing facility facility. I was lucky enough to meet people that showed me the way and they were positive to get me to the point that I am now it’s been over two years that I’ve been sober and I’ve learned a lot about me, but I’ve also learned that it is a forever struggle and with the people at these facilities I took this day and grateful for the chances I had I went from being a client to being a Pear Leader for a short time I got to be a house manager it has changed my life for the better. I went to Antrim House about five months ago, and I can honestly say it changed my life. When I arrived, I was in a really unstable place and didn’t know what my future would look like. The staff treated me with respect, patience, and real compassion from day one. What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared — not just about getting me through the program, but about helping me build a foundation for long-term sobriety. The structure, accountability, and support made a huge difference for me. I learned how to be honest, how to take responsibility, and how to start creating stability in my life. Today I’m five months sober, and a big part of that is because of the tools and support I received there. If you’re on the fence about getting help, this place can truly be a turning point. I’m grateful for the staff here and for everything Antrim House did for me.

This isn’t a bad long term rehabilitation program if you are looking for a program that is Bible based rather than Bill Wilson’s “big book”, but it’s by no means perfect despite all the 5 star ratings. Granite Recovery might be better for long term sobriety. It has a higher success rate. In all honesty, I did graduate but I probably should have been hospitalized for exhaustion afterward. You have to work really hard here- both physically and emotionally. Keep an open mind but don’t expect a happy ever after- it isn’t for everybody.

As someone with previous medical trauma, I am normally terrified of going to the emergency room. However, I was having breathing issues around midnight that I needed to get checked out. All of the staff that I interacted with at Heywood had incredibly warm bedside manner. They were all the epitome of professionalism and very through in caring for me, and as a result I was entirely at ease for the nearly thirteen hours that I was admitted for. I would just like to take a moment and thank all of the ladies in the “drawing room” for their phenomenal job well done with my daughter. It was my 7 yr old daughter’s first time getting blood drawn through a vein. They handled her overwhelming fear, crying and, hyperventilating with patience and grace. After about 45 minutes we were able to get it done as a group effort. Their kindness towards myself and my daughter (also my 5yr old son who had to tag along) will never be forgotten. Thank you ladies! You rock!

Gorgeous serene location. Not sure many walk down to the pond/lake. Outdoor picnic tables for contemplation. Privacy is a Huge plus adding to focus. Haven't been there in over a year. I hope it hasn't lost its "run down summer camp" vibe I read in the other review that it's new (renovated) because a lot of charm is in the larger room with books. Casual with Excellent Experienced Highly empathetic dedicated counselors. They've seen it all. The composition of "Patients" is quite varied. You can have a Professor making buddies with a plumber. I mean this in the best way & you already know that's how it works ideally. I just want to encourage people to not stereotype it as one socioeconomic group or another. But yeah mostly white. Great place.

This a very protected environment where you can focus on your treatment with no distractions. The groups are beneficial, the therapy is superb, and the staff is second to none. The facility is new as of writing this and provides a calm and relaxing environment to focus on your recovery and self. As with all programs like this you get what you put into it. Cant speak highly enough about the staff. They will be there for you anytime and guide you threw the hurdles of addiction and mental health issues. Thank you to Neakaug and their staff I cant praise you enough. I hope this this program doesnt depart from an excellent program they have working. If you want to stay sober commit to coming here and working their program.

The program works if you work it. Just like with any other program out there, you have to put the effort in. No one can do it for you. Depending on your insurance you may be able to get a taxi ride to the clinic each day. No matter where you live. Do not let negative reviews sway you from making the decision to get clean. You can do this. These people can help. Everything they do is for the purpose of getting you clean. I know many people who have gained remission from addiction with the help of metro, including myself. When its a life or death decision, choose life.

When i was there i believe that to many folks were truly there not to recover but directed to be there. But yet the program never gave up on anyone. 60 days out they are still in contact with me. The aftercare support system is great and through Grace you supports are second to none!! I dont know how to thank them and i am defiantly awaiting to go back and speak . My experience with this organization was very positive and seamless. My counselor/session leader, Carol, was very accommodating, and practiced very clear and friendly communication, and treated her clients with tolerance and compassion, going above and beyond to provide each person with resources and information specific to their needs, and i was even able to learn a thing or two. Anyone in the position to have to be taking these classes isn’t going to be happy to have to do so, I can assure you from personal experiences, that there are other organizations in New Hampshire that are for more difficult to deal with.

With pain from my scoliosis most of my life, it feels amazing to not hurt as bad, even when I stand up straight. I feel more positive an friendlier than I have ever been. The things I learn and am able to do now, leave me in awe of the way I feel. In both emotionally and physically. I feel like I'm on the ferris wheel of life, the hights and I tend to come down again, all as I'm learning to push past my fears. An quickly learning to get out of my own way. Thank you to the Dr's and the staff. đź« / 8-24-'26. I have to say that since my last review, I am so much more amazed at how much more positive I feel. I feel like I can walk with out having to look down at where I'm walking. I used to do it a lot, mostly be cause my left leg wouldn't come up like it should. It always made me stumble on a flat surface. I stand straighter and at times I can wear a belt to hold my pants up. Sounds crazy but giving the fact that my rib cage sits on my hips, that is amazing! The muscle in my back is softer, the muscles in my butt cheeks are relaxing more. I love how I feel more than I ever thought possible. The Dr's Matt and Tecia Abatelli are very good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I know that miracles are not likely, but so much better than I ever expected. My attitude is better every day, I just need to work on it all the time.

I showed up to the ER 07/14/26. My blood pressure was LOW and I couldn’t walk, I had lots of confusion and was a complete mess, most likely on the verge of dying. They handled me VERY quickly then sent me up to ICU. The nurses who helped me with my condition always checked on me and made sure I was given things at the correct times. They did all they could to make sure I will get better. From someone who was born and raised on the west side, this hospital is a true gem. I felt very cared for (especially in ICU). Shout out to the drs and nurses who helped me get better.

The Washburn House program from the ATS (Detox) to the CSS program was incredible. I honestly will not be able to put into words how much this Program helped me so much in many different ways. The food, I did not have a bad meal in the 28 days I spent there. The camaraderie between most of the gentlemen and some women was amazing. Also, the staff. I could write a book on how helpful, thoughtful, caring, supportive, and genuinely there to help the clients in any way they could. Been here twice if I'm honest. I can't recommend NFA enough. Sober since 6/10/25, the program works if you actually WANT to get better. The staff are nice, the food is good, the living situation does require patience but overall it is good. You will be accepted into a community and your case manager will help you out with resources. As long as you follow the rules (which isn't hard at all) you will get along fine here and even then you really have to go out of your way to get kicked out.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.
