It was not a perfect experience - there were several miscommunications that detracted from the recovery but their management owned all mistakes and missteps - Bill and Jen were especially forthcoming in this, something I appreciated. Most of the other staff were exemplary in their roles in supporting patients in their journey - want to especially recognize Amber as someone who exemplified the lodge's ideals of compassion and professionalism, she made a difference in my daughter's life.

Its been 3 weeks since I completed the 28 day program on (August 5, 2025) at Alina Lodge . From the moment I arrived (July 8, 2025)I felt comfortable and safe. THIS PLACE NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE IT ALSO BROUGHT LIFE BACK TO ME MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY! The program they have is great and I learned more and more about addiction but even more so about myself. The staff there are great , kind, loving amd compassionate. They are there to help and as long as you ask for that help you will get it . The environment was amazing given the space and time to recover and reflect on each group session. My favorite spot to sit and reflect was in the gazebo close the the river . The food was great each meal was also good and filling. Now at 48 days clean today 8/25/2025 i feel so great my life has improved dramatically! Thanks to the wrok i put it and the structure of Alina Lodge!!! I love you guys and thank you for helping me regain traction in my life I will be forever grateful!

You sincerely could not pay me to go to this place again. Buckle in, this is a long review, but heed my warnings.
—They refuse subutex until you’ve been there for 48 hours. They spoke to me as if I was stupid. Was told they’ve “actually had people still go into precip even after 48 hours, would you rather have a seizure and die because we gave it to you too early?” (Um…? Since when would that happen…??)
—When I picked up my belongings, they claimed that they couldn’t find any of my medication I had brought with me, that it was not written on my belongings list, and eventually straight up said I was mistaken and I didn’t come with any medication. When I opened up my bag of belongings, my 2 medications were in one of their company branded bags that looks like a pharmacy bag sitting right on top of all of my stuff. How are you a REHAB but lose track of medication!
—There was one single occupancy bathroom in the detox quarters and none in the individual rooms so god forbid you got sick.
—It may sound ridiculous to worry about this but there are no tv’s at all in the bedrooms (and obviously you have no access to your cellphone) which would help you to keep your mind off of being severely ill so every minute genuinely feels like a lifetime. I just looked and there are several brand new 32 inch tv’s for $70 online so you can’t tell me that they can’t afford that. Not even books are technically allowed that aren’t recovery focused. Politics book? Passion/interest/hobby book? Nope.
—Within my first 2 hours there, the one nurse started a fight and started yelling and cursing at their coworker right in front of me.
—When I wanted to AMA, they said they would not allow me to use their landline to contact someone for me to be picked up, nor would they allow me to use their WiFi once I got my cellphone back, since I had no service and knew my phone was at 5% with no charger on top of it. This place is in the middle of nowhere and it feels to me like they only have those policies to attempt to discourage you from leaving and from them losing out on your insurance money. Seems infinitely more dangerous than “helpful” to refuse this courtesy. Was told in a snarky tone “well that’s something to think about if you plan on leaving, isn’t it?” when I brought this up. They told me it was my disease speaking, the fact that I wanted to “run away” from facing my problems which is not true at all. I completed another detox and 30 day program no problem at all when I went somewhere that wasn’t awful like this place was. Suffering through detox does not magically mean you will be more likely to stay sober.
—I’m a size medium pants and the only pants they had to give me to switch into until they went through my stuff and gave to me several hours later, had to of been at least a size 2XL. I likely could have fit an entire other body my same size into the empty space left after pulling the waist band strings as tightly as possible. No brief, basic apology was even attempted regarding this.
—Groups go from roughly 8am to 9pm and you are required to attend each and every one.
—The rules state that you are not allowed to to “comfort or offer a tissue” to someone in group who may be starting to break down because it’ll “interrupt their process”
—You share your detox room with someone else so again, god forbid you or the other person is violently ill or restless like it’s assumed you will be while detoxing.
—The beds were essentially prison cots.
—No ability to roam around or smoke a cigarette between 10:30pm and 6:45 am when you’re restless.
—You have a choice of like 5 items for breakfast but aren’t allowed both hot food and cereal because god forbid. You’d think this place doesn’t get highly subsidized by the state with how stingy they are about everything there.
It was just a horrible experience. I’d highly recommend just going to a hospital for detox and then only going here afterwards if you need a program. I would straight up not trust this facility with your detox.

Not a place for a nuerodivergent person of any kind. Staff ignored pleas of worsening mental health and to get anything done case wise had to speak to various people of unknown positions because the left hand was unaware of the right. Came clean about disordered eating but was brushed off while they also claim to be "dual diagnosis". Was ostracized from the community regarding hygiene concerns but staff ignored pleas to use the washing machine and dryer. They have clothing donations but apparently no access to them. This makes attempts at staying clean in that sense untenable.
Some staff were very kind but often you get treated as paperwork instead of human. Staff would use preferred names like the wind changes directions. I was misgenedered so often I just gave up bringing it up. They're training on sexuality and gender identity is so old they list "transgender" as a sexuality instead of a a way a person experiences their gender identity. My dead name was outed in front of other clients who knew me entirely from my preferred name.
Staff knew of the interpersonal conflicts but allowed the community to police itself. Another commenter had said that the clients run the show whish is quite true.
Do not attend this facility if you are nuero or gender diverse. No protections nor considerations will be given to you as a protected class.
Come here. Get clean, leave. All you are dollar signs to them.

Paterson Recovery had a calm, steady vibe that made the hard stuff feel doable. The staff was serious about helping, but they weren’t pushy — they explained everything clearly and made sure I felt supported through each step. The setup was clean, the schedule made sense, and I never felt lost or like just another number. I appreciated how they balanced structure with care. It gave me space to breathe, but also enough of a push to keep going. By the time I left, I felt more in control — like I had a grip on myself again.
