I would like to thank all the wonderful people I met at Soba.. from the nurses "Julie" and all the techs staff. They are an amazing group of people.. this place really knows how to do it. It's so clean and the food is something that I can't explain how good it was. I mean we had lamb chops for lunch full salad bar with a gourmet chef. I banged head alittle with clinical staff only to realize they were trying to help me. To which I am truly sorry about. I spent 4 weeks there and even the other patience became like family was truly a wonderful group that made all the difference. I'm not going to say it was all fun but through bouts of depression and PTSD! Things can really get dark... And I really want to thank Mike C for helping through my darkest period.. He sat with me and talked to me about what I need to do and how to get through what I was dealing with and I never had someone to help me like that before. I was all alone. "Thanks Mike "I can't really get into it here but he gave me advice that I will carry always. I'm so glad that I went to soba. It was exactly what I needed to get my life back in order and I can't thank them enough. If you or a loved one need help with this Disease. I promise you that you will not regret trusting this professional group of people.its a small group of people I think I had 7 other patients besides myself. So the level of care is perfect.im clean and im staying clean and my goal is to help people. Even its just one person thats all it will take to satisfy me. I will keep in touch with the others from my group so we can empower each other because that is the right way to remain sober for ourselves and our families. God bless soba.

One of the best decisions I've made in my life was enrolling in SOBA'S Drug & Alchohol treatment facility located at 104 Bayard street in New Brunswick, NJ. I was only doing detox for 7 days but after experiencing the kind of care provided I decided to move up to residencial for 19 more days. The staff, from technicians, clinicians, nurses, doctors, maintenance and kitchen, are all experienced professionals that took their time with each client to make us all feel welcomed, comfortable and safe. They all thrive in a very stressful environment and always go the extra mile to meet all our needs. From group interactions to one on one therapy to administrative work, all areas are covered so as clients, we don't have to worry about the outside world. They give us the tools to beat addiction and become a better version of ourselves. They create an environment of camaraderie were all are rowing in the same direction. Mike, the director of the facility, makes you feel like an old friend and he's always available to make sure one gets the best treatment possible. Residential clients have daily access to a state of the art gym facility with pools, saunas and steam rooms. The food provided is outstanding and there's more than enough snacks available at all times. We have daily meeting from members of different fellowships like NA, AA and Smart Recovery. It was really hard to say goodbye as I move on to the next phase of my journey in sobriety. I'll never forget this experience and was the right place to take my first steps towards achieving sober living for the rest of my life. Can't thank all of them enough.

Great place. Spent several months at Soba, first at Duke Street, then here for sober living. All the clinical staff and the techs were outstanding. Best of all is the environment at Soba, which was always positive and encouraging. Soba was a great resource for me in a difficult time. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking treatment in New Jersey.

Kellie my clinician was excellent, she was compassionate, understanding, and really pushed me when I desperately needed to be pushed. All the clinicians who ran the groups were fantastic, Karyn, Ashley, Taylor, Kellie, Kendall, you all have made such positive impacts on my life. I looked at some of the negative reviews, however, I had quite the positive experience. First of all, having been in different locations so far this hospital has far been the best compared to others. I know that hospitals like their psych units often get a bad rep, hence the many negative reviews. I gotta praise the cleanliness of this place. The custodians take effort in cleaning at least once a day, such as the rooms and hallways. The staff were nice and caring such as nurses, social workers, doctors, OTs and behavioral health workers. They actually treat patients as actual human beings. My stay was pretty short, but it was the first time I got out stable and content after this stay despite my minimal time here. Thanks

I cannot speak highly enough of HBH and their therapists. I’ve been working with my therapist, Bethany, for years now and she has changed my life for the better. She is always actively trying to help me improve my way of thinking by means of action and not just talk therapy. She’s always adaptable to my needs depending on where I’m at during my sessions and allows me the space I need to safely navigate my emotions. I’ve never once felt judged during any of my ups or downs. I’ve worked with many therapists growing up, and finding her was such a blessing and nothing short of a miracle. Not to brag (just kidding I’m totally bragging), but I definitely have the best therapist anyone could ever ask for. I’ve also been in a variety of their groups that are run by other therapists in the practice and each counselor has been engaging and passionate about what they do. Their groups are informative, supportive, and respectful. HBH genuinely cares for their patients . I’ve never had a negative experience with them. If you’re looking to change your life for the better, this is the place you’ve been searching for. I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for help.

I had a great experience at Staten Island University Hospital. I underwent an elective surgery (hip replacement), so my experience might be different than with other areas of the hospital. But everything was seamless for me. The pre-op testing was great, and the gentleman who took care of my vitals, blood, ekg was great, as was the radiologist who Xrayed my hip! I received all the information I needed for my procedure, watched the videos to make sure I was prepped for the surgery. On the day of the procedure, they got me in right away. I didn't even have to wait on an IV. Everything moved along quickly and smoothly. I always felt like I was in good hands. Of course my surgeon, Dr. Korshunov, is absolutely amazing (brilliant & a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a surgeon). And the entire OR team working with him was fantastic. They put me at ease! After the procedure, the recovery experience was great as well. People helped me and gave me lots of attention. I didn't have to flag down a nurse for water or crackers or anything. They constantly asked how I was doing and if I needed something. The food also was amazingly good, which is nice when you need energy to heal and get going. Also, the PT and the OT people were on time and very good. I wanted to be released same day, and they respected that and made it happen without any stress-was released earlier than I gad even hoped, which makes journey home so much less painful! (I had my other hip done years ago at another hospital, and was always waiting on things-like PT-so was stressed that wouldn't be released same day). Thank you, Staten Island University Hospital, for making my surgery a better experience than I anticipated.

After two emergency surgeries and a month of hospitalization, I was transferred to subacute rehabilitation at The Chateau. I have visited relatives at several such facilities through the years and this one is, by far, the finest such facility I’ve ever experienced. During my 17-day stay, I encountered a compassionate staff that was second to none—always kind, considerate, and never lacking for a sense of humor even on the most hectic of days. The extremely dedicated physical and occupational therapists are not merely doing their jobs. They follow a calling. The facility also has fine social workers and terrific coordinators, who provide wonderful special events for the residents. Even the food is outstanding (and not just on special days devoted to custom-made omelettes, pasta dishes, or ice cream!). I know I’m forgetting the names of some notable folks, but I wanted to give a special shout-out to: Gasper Kewley, Mario Claudio, Liz Claudio, and the ever enthusiastic Brooke Scheftler; my very gifted therapists Melvin Walker (“The Professor”) and Nadezhda Eber, as well as Chandni Patil and Jennifer (“Zen Jen”); Dr. Jack Janini; nursing staff Natacha Bastien, Macdalie Blanc, Celia Harvey, Wendy Humphrey, Zarrina Rakhmatova, Tanya Salman, M. Sweney, Ludjye Valbrun, Annett Young, and especially Lisa Campbell and Tsitsino Goloshvili (Leah). Last but certainly not least, my deepest appreciation to concierge Jason Lamm, who offered his guidance, help, and support in ways too numerous to mention. I am profoundly indebted to this facility’s 'family', which aided my healing, in both body and soul.

The staff that care are overworked. The rest shouldn’t be allowed to practice in any capacity at a hospital. The night shift staff sleep on duty - including the ones who look after patients on suicide watch!!! I came down with influenza. My demands to be moved to the main hospital’s infectious disease unit were laughed at. A nurse told a flu was a cold, thinking I was too stupid to know the difference to know a rhinovirus from an influenza virus. I demanded to see a doctor overnight and was told no doctors are there. They think I am stupid and don’t know there is always an MD and an APA on duty overnight. I got angry and tried to push my way into the nurses station to call 911. Security shot me in the ass with tranqs like an animal. They wanted me to keep me alone in my room for 7 days in isolation. The Psychiatrist told me the nurses would bring me fluids. The nurses told me to wear a Mask and get them myself. By day three I just came only respite from the boredom and torture. They told me to stay in my room. I said “so you’ll bring me fluids to drink every hour as the doctor prescribed?” Their laziness defeated them, and after that I came and left my room as I pleased. My shrink was good, but could only talk with me about 5 minutes a day. The social worker tried to help me but got nowhere really, a couple of nurses were almost caring enough, and the art, music and occupational therapists did the best job they could with patients in miserable conditions. The food was poor to mediocre at best. Only given my menu to choose my meals half the time I stayed (about 2 weeks stay in total) Didn’t matter, rarely got my choices anyways. The art and music therapy were the only activities besides the constant struggle to get them to give us a remote for the only TV. 3 x 45 activities on weekdays, 1 on Saturday and Sunday. My pastor called to visit while I was in isolation- they told her they asked everyone with my first name and no one knew who she was- clearly they didn’t ask me. Wouldn’t let me have visitors anyhow being in isolation so didn’t matter. Maintenance could handle fixing the hvac. One wing was 65F, the other 78F when the air broke down on thar wing. The staff only called them to come and fix it after two days when they couldn’t stand the stagnant hot air anymore. I wonder how much Trinitas pays the Trenton political bureaucrats to turn a blind eye to a facility that should be condemned and have half the staff barred from any sort of hospital work. If you send your love ones here, you should be ashamed and unsurprised if they never speak to you again. If you call yourself in via 988, you’re better off to travel to near ANY other hospital!!!

From day 1 the staff I dealt with was VERY Nice, VERY Caring. I'm dyslexic so sometimes it takes a few times for me to understand and they were VERY Patient and NEVER got frustrated with me. They did NOT let me leave confused or misled and they were VERY Informative. I've been to 3 of their offices and ALL 3 had GREAT Staff. BUTTTT, they do have a lawyer that will nnNOT help YOU, he works Against You. I think his name was Wayne or Wagner. But there is one lawyer, his name begins with a P , I think he's indian ; now THAT man, hunnyyy, he will fight to the death for you. Overall everyone treats you with Dignity and Respect so if you REALLY WANT and NEED help THIS is where you want to go, I PROMISE YOU.

This is a safe sanctuary where I did not want to go. I went in and felt cautious, but was welcomed with open arms. I was treated with respect even when I felt I did not deserve it. My counselor Lora believed in me and saved me when I was at the lowest point of my life. She showed me a sort of compassion and understanding that I never knew possible and believed in me when no one else did. It saved my life and pushed me to be a better man. I will be grateful for all eternity.
