I was extremely happy with the care and service my mom received at UPMC’s ACS Ambulatory Surgery Center in Jamestown, NY. When I went up to the front desk to check on my mom, I was feeling overwhelmed and had tears in my eyes. The receptionist, who I believe was named Victoria, immediately noticed and offered me kindness and support. Her compassion and understanding helped me through a very emotional moment. I felt extremely respected and cared for—not only as a family member, but also in the way my mom was treated. Her kindness truly helped put me at ease during a stressful time. If you or a loved one ever needs surgery, I highly recommend the wonderful staff at UPMC’s ACS Ambulatory Surgery Center. And if I have her name correct, a special thank-you to Victoria at the front desk. ❤️

I have a serious medical condition and spend a lot of time at UPMC in Erie, but was in Jamestown yesterday and had to go to the ER. I just wanted to say going in I was nervous because I haven't heard the best things about this hospital, but I just wanted to say the doctor who was there yesterday around 3 was absolutely wonderful. He was so caring and listened to everything I said and was so understanding. They helped me with my pain flare up and ran all the necessary tests to make sure my condition was not worsening. Everyone was so very kind and I would definitely go here again in the future if I had any other issues! Thank you everyone who took such great care of me yesterday.

I'll be honest. I went here looking for medical transport to a larger medical facility like Buffalo for a unique problem I was having. As much as they were willing to do so, Buffalo was not accepting transfers, so they admitted me. I was there for a couple days until they found a great solution to my problem. The nurses were amazing. I will continue to return to this lovely hospital for every and all problems I have in the future. 5/5

I have been using the VA for all my medical care since 2008. When I moved to back to Jamestown the CBOC would be the 5th facility I have used for medical care after retiring from 23 years of service. The service here is compassionate, caring and skilled. The fact that they have all three is impressive since I found care where all or some of these three elements are missing. You will be treated properly here. They do a fantastic job.

Update 12/23/2025 From the moment I walk in, until my next visit, even if I’m in pain I feel like I’m in good hands! A lot has changed since my initial review, a new diagnosis has come about that is slowing my progress from where I would like to be. That said I’ve been told I’m doing the best that I can and I truly believe that. Dr. Saxton has been instrumental these last few months, from the actual physical therapy I receive, to the at home exercises and our conversations, I would be lost without his guidance and his support. This has been one of the most mind-boggling diagnosis is that I still every time I think I understand and comprehend start back at square one. He has gotten me through some of the most difficult months I’ve had this year, and has helped me see things from a different perspective. He’s working with my new PCP and other doctors to get the best results and hopefully remission in the future. I never feel rushed or pressured, and I haven’t been there once without pain, that should say something….Even on my worst days, I look forward into going into the office. When you walk in there’s always a smile waiting for you, and same on your way out. I feel Physically, as well as emotionally supported, which is key in any recovery. I am extremely scared for my future, given the new Diagnosis as well as finding out I have a nonunion Jones fracture…I have a safe place to go and talk about my fears, concerns and every time I think I can’t do something, I have a positive experience even with the pain. I swear these people are good and so kind. They show you empathy, not pity, they treat you with dignity, regardless of your financial disposition or disabilities (visible or not). I’ve never had this type of support from a medical provider, let alone the entire office. I feel so grateful that I was referred to them and they are willing to work with me and my issues for the foreseeable future. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about their patients, not just a check, I would say this is your place to go! There’s a physical therapy office quite literally three minutes up the street from me and I would rather drive 31 minutes into another county to come here. 09/17/2025 Never at the ripe old age of 39 did I think I would find myself in a position where I’m going to have to relearn how to walk. The last few months have been a wild ride that I didn’t know I got on! When switching from in-home PT to outpatient, I did a lot of research and had quite a few options. I knew a doctor who had personally gone there and recovered phenomenally, which definitely impacted my decision-making. When someone has only good things to say about a very difficult injury/recovery and the experience they had, I find that to be way more important than whatever swimming pool or other equipment they may have. I only recently started at the Dunkirk location in September 2025. It’s scary, it’s painful, but I feel that I am in the best place that I could possibly be for my recovery. I feel like the doctors as well as the staff are not only friendly but actually empathetic and listen to what you’re saying. Having positive support that is not dismissive of your symptoms and is willing to work with you and meet you where you are (but in no way babies you) is not only helpful but, I believe, pivotal for my physical and mental health during this difficult time. I so want to just be able to walk my dogs around the block, go outside and look at the moon in a starlit sky, and sit in the sun. I know these are things I can’t necessarily do at this moment, but I do feel that with the help that I am currently receiving, as slow of a recovery as this might be, I will and do have the chance to actually recover! I look forward to continuing to bust my butt trying to get better and also taking it easy, as rest is equally as important. Thank you to the amazing staff that I have met so far and the ones that I will likely meet in the future. I’ll see y’all next week!

I just delivered my first baby here (scheduled induction vaginal delivery) , we were here for 4 nights total and our experience was amazing. The nurses in Labor&Delivery( Victoria, Kiana, Amanda, Jade) and postpartum( Laurie, Dawn, Alyssa) are absolute angels. They were so attentive, made me so comfortable from beginning to end, they were amazing at handling our baby . Midwife Mindy Clark delivered him and with her and the nurses directions had him out in 5 minutes!! You are in luck if you get any of these nurses, or midwives Mindy or Judith on your care team . Blanking on anesthesiologist name but he did a great job with the epidural, and doctor who offered to insert foley balloon last minute before her shift was over just to help me out!! I was in such capable hands and so thankful for these amazing people who work here ! Only complaint is the lady the first night taking food orders would not let me" double order " even though I was prescribed double ordering think her name was Janine?!! I was a resident there in the late 80s I remember the staff there I remember a lot of the staff members. They were very supportive got me through a lot of hard times I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, but the first time I fell in love With a boy, he was a resident there as well. I don’t have a whole Lotta great memories in my life, but I remember being there and I remember having somebody that I could talk to whether it was a staff member or staff member in the unit. The counselors used to sing a song and play guitar and it was such an amazing song and this day I remember that song, I remember going on activities and playing baseball and finally for the first time in my life having somebody that actually listen to me I would actually love to be able to get a hold of an employee there. His name is Glenn. He was on the boys unit last I heard he was working in the school Wrote a story about the boy I remember in my life during time I really needed them so thank you To the staff that was there during the time I was there

This VA Medical Center has done a good job at helping me to stay on top of all my medical challenges, and do follow ups after I have come in for emergency treatment. The nurses and Doctors are very involved with the patients and giving us the best care possible in so far they will check on me by calling me at home till I am feeling better. I have been a patient for close to 3 years. The counselors are amazing (Mines the best). They’re dedicated to what they do and helping people grow and work towards their goals. Everyone is wonderful from office staff to the counselors. They offer numerous groups such as Depression group, and several emotion regulation groups. I am grateful to the staff and counselors who have helped me. They’ve truly made a huge impact personally and in other areas of my life. A huge Ty to the entire staff.

The staff here is wonderful. I feel bad I had to discharge myself after five days. I was there recently from Aug 22 to Aug 27. I thought I was in withdrawal because I was so cold and had headache. Turns out I was just really hungry because I couldn't eat the meals there. I survived on bananas and cereal. It's very unfortunate I had to leave because of the food. Sincerely, Steven C.

Amazing place. Bernie, the man who runs this is the PERFECT person for the job. Genuinely cares about the people in the program. We recently visited as my husband is a prior graduate and had the honor of being a group speaker to the current clients in the program, and I appreciated everything about this establishment. They even gave my husband his seven year chip during our visit. Thank you to Bernie and the entire staff for helping these beautiful people find hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.
