**Update** *Again* Ya know, I was really upset and cynical about my initial dose, and was really questioning if I made the correct choice. With the weather, that just made titration that much harder. Upon reflection, getting second and 3rd opinions, and doing research, I now understand, which I already did, it just wasn’t clicking in my sick body/brain, they were simply looking out for me. I can appreciate that; knowing anything worth having doesn’t come easy, and admittedly I have some comorbidities, particularly some sedatives I’m/was prescribed. I could tell the Doctor really cared from day one, and she genuinely wanted to help, and nothing has changed. We met with the Medical Director, who is a great addiction MD with great “bedside manner” and understanding, and my regular MD at the clinic, really had my back and we all came up with a great course of treatment I feel really comfortable about, *update* and they have followed through on their promises, and are safely getting me on my way to making some really important and much needed changes to health and old habits, as well as given me autonomy and some normality, faster than I initially thought possible. Also, I’ve been able to reduce/stop some medications that weren’t really needed, and that helped move the process on too. And by the way, the medical Director was great; She really listened to the doctor and me, she was involved, as well as she explained things in a way that made me feel a lot better about the choice that I made to initiate treatment here. And I’m still glad, even more so now, that I chose here for me; they have gave me a life back! I would highly recommend this practice; As I said from day one, the staff are awesome and they’re the reason I kept coming back. I really appreciate them, and the compassion and empathy, and care, from the providers in your most vulnerable time is just a perfect recipe for helping one have a better and safer way of life, and for me sticking it out and retaining treatment, and I hope they know that!!! Hello my name is Jackson. I went here from February 2024 - May 2024. And again August 2024 - September 2024 | This place is really what you make it. It’s a truly unique experience that you won’t get to experience ever again. The campus is super cool and refreshing. They have a barn with horses, a mule, and a donkey. They have a pretty cool ropes course, a big house that you share with 13 other kids and staff, a van and a car that they take you to places in (AA, NA, Activities), and 2 pretty cool chefs who make surprisingly good food for a treatment center. I had the pleasure of working with Valerie. I’ve worked with so many therapists over the years but she truly sticks out from all of them. She’s incredibly nice and very good at her job. Although when I came back home after my first trip here I ended up falling back into my same habits but worse. Which resulted in my coming back to foothills for a second time and wilderness after that. This is not foothills fault for not giving me enough resources. It’s my fault for not taking it serious enough. I’m currently in my 8th treatment program in Utah 320+ days sober. And I can say this program was a part of that sobriety. Watch of for staff that give kids substances, kids that get substances on outings, and kids mistreating other kids to fit in. Before sending your kid here, I recommend you do a lot of research to truly see if this fits your kids needs. Good luck 👁️

Foothills helped me to mature and grow mentally much more then I would have had I been at home, I feel like the majority of the staff really do care and I think it’s a good place for recovery and a big shout out to Casey he helped me a lot and is very supportive and tries to connect with the kids there.

The one star reviews seem to be from people who were removed from the program due to choices they made ie…consequences were enforced. It is a homey, clean facility with a beautiful campus. A wonderful facility with caring and present staff. The support our entire family received was amazing.

First @ Blue Ridge saved and changed my life! All my house managers loved me til I was able to love myself again. I was a peer leader and an auxiliary house manager during my time as a client. I graduated Feb 15, 2024 and I couldn’t have done it without all the love and support from all the staff as well as the ladies that were on my journey with me! I like to be funny. I like to see people laugh. So if I was to review this company. (They alright!).😅 i say that with the deepest southern accent, you can think of😅👍👍 I would give theme. three, but I only have two thumbs. But in all seriousriness the care workers, our really good people. But to me, they're my family. Into those that do not have family or friends.They became my family. Supporting me mentally and spiritually. I thank God for the people that choose this profession. It's not easy. Because they're people too, they've been through things. And I believe that's what helps them be better. So they can help others. I know this quote is from batman, but it's a good one. ( why do we fall? So we can get back up.) 1 April 2027: Arrived in the morning to make a donation at the Lab prior to my annual checkup. My blood was drawn by Lisa, a 19 year veteran, she efficient, skilled, and says the right thing at the right time. Thank You for hiring and keeping the Best. Was onsite for a PT appt with Pete West. I came to Willow Ridge at the lowest point in my life. I was scared and didn't know where to turn. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe and supported. The counselors are compassionate and truly understand addiction. The therapy sessions were incredibly helpful, and I learned so much about myself and the underlying causes of my addiction. What sets Willow Ridge apart is the sense of community. I connected with other patients who were going through similar struggles, and we supported each other every step of the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My name is Kelly Bowling, and I have three years clean and sober. My recovery journey started with October Road when I entered their PHP program, which at the time was called the River House. One thing I’ve learned in recovery is that many treatment programs struggle with staffing, and people in early recovery often don’t have positive examples to look up to. That was not my experience here—far from it. I was surrounded by staff who genuinely cared and demonstrated what recovery, professionalism, and service look like every day. The BHTs, clinicians, counselors, and support staff created an environment that was both structured and supportive. Justin, Alex, Chuck, and Gray made a lasting impact on me. They treated us with dignity, held us accountable, and encouraged us to believe that a better life was possible. The community was just as important. The groups were meaningful, the other clients became a source of support, and the overall culture helped me build a strong foundation for recovery. During my time there, I served as the cook for my house and even became the barber for many of the clients. We built healthy relationships, supported one another, and enjoyed simple things like going to the river after clinical days. I continued my journey with October Road through IOP and early recovery services. Even today, I still use October Road for my medical needs. I also return from time to time to speak with clients and share my experience, strength, and hope. Today, I serve in a leadership role in recovery and reentry services with a community-based organization called Operation Gateway. The foundation for the work I do today was built at October Road. The lessons, support, and examples I received there helped shape the person and professional I have become. I have a great deal of love and respect for everyone involved with this organization. They were part of the beginning of a life-changing journey, and I will always be grateful for the role they played in my recovery.

The October Road programs are really great. Like anything there is a feeling of sudden displacement at first. They have all the tools that one would need to start and sustain being sober/recovery. I personally completed inpatient at the RiverHouse. Then I completed intensive outpatient, followed by Early recovery. The staff is very involved with the whole process, start to finish. Oh, I forgot to mention that I currently have therapist via October rd once weekly which has helped me tremendously. My overall experience was very good 👍. I just currently celebrated one year of sobriety and still going strong. Overall if one is willing and able to go through with the program it certainly gives a chance at something better. ❤️❤️❤️

The program at Silver Ridge is great and has really helped me with my recovery journey. The food is absolutely fantastic. Chef, Kendall, and Jan are always super friendly. If you have the opportunity to step down into the PHP program after completing the residential program, I highly recommend to do so! I was at both men’s Red Oak campuses from October 17, 2025- December 12, 2025. It was my second try at rehab (first time at The Estate in MS (4/25-5/25). Key take aways from my experience: 1. The success rate for staying clean after rehab is slim. 2. The difference between my first time to rehab and second time at Red Oak in the grand scheme of things was that I knew what to expect in a general since, had specific things I wished I would have known the first go around mindset wise, spiritual wise, and participation wise. 3. I don’t think there’s a rehab that’s perfect, and if you have a negative mindset and attitude you will always find things that lack and things you wished rehab had. 4. The outcome was far better than the first time because I had been plagued with not knowing how to feel or communicate when I first got clean, but at red oak I had so many successes and break throughs, main ones during the last 2 weeks which is incredible seeing I busted my ass during the entirety of my stay and only worked with positivity and optimism. 5. Again, your time at any rehab regardless of the program success wise is not based on any specific amount of time so make the time count, don’t have too high of expectations, participate as much as possible, And don’t take yourself too seriously. I have never heard of anyone that has stayed clean long term that didn’t actively participate during groups. I don’t think there’s is a rehab that’s perfect in regards to keeping you busy throughout the entire day. Most of my breakthrough moments happened during the down time when I was bored out of my mind and felt depressed. It was the perception change that took place from a negative view or mindset to a positive one and has carried over into now. The mountain campus with bump beds and and Residential campus all in one residential house were a lot different. I originally went to Red Oak expecting to only stay a month until I was made aware of the the second step after residential was the PHP Program in the mountains. I was kind of confused seeing it was supposed to mean a “half step down”care wise, but the only difference was that you punched out your medication with your own hands (while being monitored). It was also confusing to me that the rest of the patients at the mountain campus (except for the guys that also came from the residential campus) were admitted to the PHP program without any clean time and had were with the same caliber severity wise. It wasn’t a big deal in regards of the difference between a patient that is a month clean vs. a day clean, but it did make me question why I had to spend 1 month in a less developed program of the 2 and that the other clients didn’t have to and could do however much time in the mountains, but I was lucky enough to be given a scholarship to the PHP mountain campus due to my efforts made in residential so I’m happy with the outcome of the situation, so I could see that being an issue in someone else’s story. I had a great experience at the residential campus and really enjoyed both of my therapists because they both challenged me and didn’t settle for my shit (Jennifer in residential and Colleen during PHP). The PHP mountain campus also has a daily hour and a half process therapy group that is led by 3 licensed clinicians. It really made me feel more optimistic to divulge anything regarding to how I felt or headspace I was in because there were multiple feedback loops. The main part I think about with what I got the most out of the situation wasn’t really so much advice on how to feel or judgement, it was that I had 3 times as many licensed clinicians to interact with that all made me equally feel like my story was valid and 3 times as many times to be validated on whatever it was I was sharing. Communication side kinda sucked being letters only but it also probably was a good thing. Shout outs to Paul the director, Charlie, as well as to Tyler, Matt, Caleb, Jay, both Mikes, Kirsten, Shelly, Ann, and Riley!

About a year ago I had a crash related to a dwi. It was my rock bottom. Part of my sentence was to get an assessment and complete some sessions with a counselor. Although I was nervous and in over my head the assessor was so kind and really listened to me and directed me through everything I needed to know. The sessions were something I didn’t know I needed and taught me a lot. I didn’t know I had a problem with alcohol as strange as that seems. The sessions were great and meeting everyone in my same boat was emotional and brought me back to reality. I have been and remained sober coming up on a year now and am much better for it. I will be celebrating 2 years sober this weekend and owe my unwavering gratitude to the Willows. It has been a while since I received treatment, but I think about it often and how transformative the experience was. After attempting to receive care at a traditional rehab, it was clear I needed a bit more help than what they could offer. I was serious about my recovery and willing to do anything to obtain sobriety, even if it meant taking the uncomfortable leap and acknowledging how significant a role my mental health played in my addiction. While not every day was a walk in the park, I recognize that The Willows played an integral role in my recovery, pushing when they needed and making space when I did. Yes, being surrounded by a multitude of other women with equal, if not more, significant challenges can be complex. But staying focused on my own life and recovery, while empathizing with others', helped me avoid tangles and clashes. The location is perfect, beautiful, and serene. The house is just as lovely. The meals were excellent, and the support services provided by the staff rival any treatment I have received to date. Staying the 90 days, then heeding their advice and going to sober living, was the best decision I have ever made in life. I recognize that I have to claim the work I did and the success I made as my own, but I would be fooling myself if I didn't acknowledge that I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. If you are serious about finding sobriety and doing the work, this is the place for you.
