They are part of the North Carolin | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have been to both the detox and rehab side of ADACT. I had a good experience. I felt welcomed and the staff is great especially Kelly, she goes above and beyond for the patients. The doctors and therapist helped me stabilize my meds. The classes were great too i learned different ways to cope and retrain my brain to start good habits to replace the bad. As an addict I felt like I was somewhere I could relate to my issues that not everyone can understand. Coming out of a toxic marriage that led to my addiction and mental health it was good to be somewhere different and around new people to get away from my usual triggers and start to take the first step to recovery and living a healthy life. When I finished they guided me in the right direction to continue staying on track for my recovery.

A Life-Changing Experience — Forever Grateful
Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center was the turning point in my life. After attending five different rehabs, I arrived here in 2020 feeling lost and uncertain if lasting change was possible. But this place—this team—changed everything for me.
From the moment I walked through the doors, the front office staff greeted me with kindness and dignity. The nurses were compassionate and attentive, the recovery coaches and counselors truly listened, and the education team made learning feel meaningful again. My therapist was nothing short of life-changing—she helped me dig deeper and start healing in ways I never thought possible.
Even the cafeteria staff made an impact. They didn’t just serve meals—they served encouragement with every plate, and their warmth stayed with me daily.
Because of Julian F. Keith, I began to believe in myself again. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve earned my associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, and I’m now finishing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Substance Use Disorders, with a focus on trauma and gender identity. I’m also a North Carolina Board Certified Peer Support Specialist, giving back to others just like me—because someone once did the same for me here.
This center helped me reimagine my future and reconnect with my purpose. I will always carry gratitude in my heart for what they gave me. I genuinely believe that without their guidance, structure, and compassion, I would not be where I am today.
Thank you to every single person at Julian F. Keith. You changed my life.

JFK is a wonderful place to go whether its your first time going to treatment or your 10th time. They always welcome you with open arms. Their is no judgment. Every patient is treated with the upmost respect and Dignity that they never get to experience in their regular lives. I get emotional talking about the staff there. They are the most kind hearted accepting and warm people I've ever met. I cannot express how much I appreciate everyone who works there. Please call them and ask about a bed if you need help, they will immediately start working on getting you a bed. I wouldn't go to any other treatment center in Western NC

Really friendly staff that doesn't seem to judge. Recommended if you need this type of service.
Update: After being here a couple of months I can honestly say these are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. It seems like every new staff member I meet is friendlier than the last, it's crazy. So if you need MAT treatment and you are in the area look no further than New Season in Morganton. You won't regret the choice. I also changed my review to a five because if anybody deserves it they do. I just can't recommend this place enough, I'm lucky to get such a nice place after the horror stories I've heard about other clinics.

Love the people at this place. I only have one thing that bothers me and that's the price. Recovery is very hard and stressful let alone trying to figure out how to pay for your Recovery. I hope they can figure something out where it's not so expensive for people to get clean. I would have been getting clean a long time ago if it didn't cost so much. But I'm grateful I got clean and grateful for new seasons and the people there. Thanks joe r.

So grateful for First to be there.
I learned there, it was up to me. Not them. A safe area to gather and use all the tools they had for a very good outcome in sobriety and a grateful life.
I kept in between the lines they presented me. Knew I was there to learn and grow and it was up to me ( not them, or anyone for that matter ), to grow. To learn. To be the me I truly wanted.
Having First as my final page in rehab, after two long term others, I came out knowing I had done this for me and my appreciation and gratitude for THEM To be there is a daily thought, thanks and gratitude.
I quit blaming.
I began being.
THANKS AGAIN MY FRIENDS AT FIRST !!!

They treat young men from the ages of 14 to 17 on a sprawling 94-acre horse farm. Your son will learn strategies for living that will help him make healthy choices that lead to a meaningful life | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Hello my name is Jackson. I went here from February 2024 - May 2024. And again August 2024 - September 2024 | This place is really what you make it. It’s a truly unique experience that you won’t get to experience ever again. The campus is super cool and refreshing. They have a barn with horses, a mule, and a donkey. They have a pretty cool ropes course, a big house that you share with 13 other kids and staff, a van and a car that they take you to places in (AA, NA, Activities), and 2 pretty cool chefs who make surprisingly good food for a treatment center. I had the pleasure of working with Valerie. I’ve worked with so many therapists over the years but she truly sticks out from all of them. She’s incredibly nice and very good at her job. Although when I came back home after my first trip here I ended up falling back into my same habits but worse. Which resulted in my coming back to foothills for a second time and wilderness after that. This is not foothills fault for not giving me enough resources. It’s my fault for not taking it serious enough. I’m currently in my 8th treatment program in Utah 320+ days sober. And I can say this program was a part of that sobriety. Watch of for staff that give kids substances, kids that get substances on outings, and kids mistreating other kids to fit in. Before sending your kid here, I recommend you do a lot of research to truly see if this fits your kids needs. Good luck 👁️

I have been involved with focus for going on 2 years now. I have had nothing but a positive experience from the beginning. The staff have always been super nice and helpful. We started out with the nurse practitioner Sonya and she was amazing. Understandably, she felt my child had far more issues than she could help with (I adopted a child with MANY mental issues so I understood completely). She referred us to Dr. Igbul who was also amazing. At the time for one of her appointments, he was out of town and we got scheduled with Dr. Fairchild. She is absolutely nothing short of amazing. She has helped so much and has answered questions I have had for years that nobody has been able to answer in 10 years. I will stick with Dr. Fairchild forever. I see a lot of negative reviews but like I said, in the 2 years I have been affiliated with them, they have been amazing!

The 90 days I spent at Next Step Recovery may very well be the most important decision of my life. Dealing with substance abuse most of my life then achieving sobriety for a decade and then losing it again. I've spent 5 years trying to get back to where I was but just kept failing. In desperation I came to Next Step for 30 days of treatment and later decided to complete a full 90 days of treatment. Next Step is simply different. The program and its environment were perfect for my needs. The staff is incredible and truly care. All their therapists are second to none. The housing environment blew my expectations away with a comfortable home (not a compound) combination of safety and recovery while maintaining many freedoms like going to the gym, grocery shopping and cooking, river rafting, walks through beautiful Asheville. I even got a cool job towards the end. Next Step just offered this incredible treatment program while offering the supported opportunity to to practice normal life with out substance abuse. Not really how I imagined this "treatment". experience would be. No it was ten times better! Most relaxed I've ever been in a long time.
Months later im back home with my family and everything thing is going great! And when things are not great I can handle it using the tools that Next Step gave me.
Still rockin it!
Thanks so much to you all

I came to Willow Ridge at the lowest point in my life. I was scared and didn't know where to turn. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe and supported. The counselors are compassionate and truly understand addiction. The therapy sessions were incredibly helpful, and I learned so much about myself and the underlying causes of my addiction.
What sets Willow Ridge apart is the sense of community. I connected with other patients who were going through similar struggles, and we supported each other every step of the way. The group activities and outings were also a lot of fun and helped me rediscover some of my passions.
Today, I am sober and living a life beyond my wildest dreams, and I owe it all to the amazing team at Willow Ridge. If you're struggling with addiction, please don't hesitate to reach out to them. It was the best decision I ever made!!
