I realize that each of us have our own unique experience. But I will say for the VA that if you go to the trouble of filing a complaint in Dayton about any questionable or just bad treatment, that they take your complaint very seriously. They also hold the department or agency at the center of the complaint responsible. In regards to my complaint not only did the VA call me directly but a representative of the department concerning the complaint asked me to come into meet with them so they could hear directly what changes I was wanting or needing. Sometimes we lose people, and when that happens these words dont mean much. Its the worse experience of our life. None of us ever want it and we all dread it. In those cases there isnt any words that help. But for current situations outside of those circumstances like mine, my experience has been positive. Ive found 1 or 2 Drs that need to go back to bed-side manner school. One of them the class about fraternization and compassion and another about the privacy rights of secretly recording visits without the patients knowledge or consent. My VA office is in Lima Ohio. The facility is spotless and my appointments are always prompt and on time. Never have I waited uncomfortable periods of time and most times Ive barely set down before their calling my name after checking in. I will say hgowever it was a mistake to remove the kiosks. I realize that older veterans may have troube with technology but those kiosks can be designed with ease of use in mind for EVERYONE. 4 STARS for LIMA VA

I haven’t had any major issues with them. Only problem is they rush you. But I think that’s just maybe a cultural thing (I’m from down south) the further north you go the more in a hurry everyone seems

The counselors I've had there are great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE DR. Tammy. I moved here from out of state 3 years ago and had been recieving the same medication for my anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years. This woman refuses to give me the medicine that I've had continually for all those years. She OUT RIGHT LIED to me about this medication. She said it is Not used for Long term care... even tho i was perscribed it for 20+ years. I have been using them with out asking for increased dosage or amounts. Now, I have become her testing project. How can refusing a patient a medication that Works be how someone conducts their practice. I have gone in 3 times over a 2.5 year period begging to be put back on my regular regimen and have been refused. I would not recommend her to Anyone. I feel absolutely ignored by her and do not trust a word that she says, after all she LIED to my face.

I am very pleased with the care I am receiving at PBH in Decatur. I went to another facility in my area and felt like I was a experiment because they couldn’t get my medications right. The last counselor that I had their seemed like she didn’t have much experience with adult problems. My counselor here at PBH not only is listening to the train wreck my life has become, but she’s giving me the tools to get things back on track. Highly, highly recommend!!! And the NP actually know what she is doing and let’s me make decision about my care. It’s nice to know that my voice is not only being heard but respected.

Variety of mental health services available on outpatient basis. 24 hour advance notification required for appointments unable to be attended by consumer. Failure to provide advance cancellation results in policy of non ability to reschedule future appointment. Future appointments must be on a "walk-in" basis, depending on chance of available time openings during certain hours. It is very important and necessary to make every effort to keep or cancel scheduled appointments in advance. Especially known unable to attend or have no intention to keep the scheduled appointment. There are normally consumers waiting or needing appointments cancelled in advance. Fees depend on income and sliding scale. Medicare and Indiana Medicaid accepted, also private insurance accepted with prior arrangement. Psychiatric Outpatient provider available for medication needs weekly when necessary at this location when possible.

Wonderful staff. Can't recall a time they needed to reschedule an appointment with me, so they are pretty on-the-ball in regards to keeping appointments met.

Everyone is very friendly and the therapists are very compassionate in the care that they provide. Mental health is important and it’s very obvious that the workers here agree with that remark. Definitely recommend!

Been a client here for years. The providers and staff have always treated me with respect and worked patiently and pleasantly to iron out any problems. Dr. Soder and Dr. Brickner especially have been great to work with, affable and kind with appropriate focus on and genuine concern for a clients mental health and well-being. I'm sorry for all the people who've had such poor experiences as I have found this to be one of the best facilities of it's kind with wonderful people.

I struggle with severe OCD and intrusive thoughts. My very caring psychiatrist, Angela Soder, is right by my side and helps me fight my battle with OCD day in and day out. I'd be so lost without her. Without her, I sometimes wonder if I would of given up and lost my battle some time ago. I like how she NEVER suggests the ER for my unless of course, I was serious with a plan and/or intent to hurt myself or others, which so far hasn't happened yet. Instead, she schedules me in for an appointment so we can talk about it. Any other psych provider I talk to doesn't even attempt to help me. They just say something along the lines of "You need to go to the ER and probably be admitted" how is locking me up with my thoughts supposed to help? She understands my thoughts are just thoughts and I just need someone to talk to when I feel a certain way. She understands that admitting me into the hospital isn't the answer, and will only make me feel worse. Anyway, I give Angela Soder 5 stars! She is awesome! Again, I'd be so lost without her! Brittany and Brandy at this office are also amazing! They're supportive and also don't suggest the ER when I call and talk to them.

My brother was referred to Capabilities by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. Michelle Daniels and her team did an amazing job in assisting my brother to get in a job that is well suited to his condition. The coaching services they provided helped him successfully navigate social and work-related cues that he had previously not been successful at on his own. He is so happy with his job and we are grateful for all the support provided by the Capabilities team.

The staff is the nicest and most loving! I hadn't seen my son so happy for the last few months, and now he gets excited to go here!

Absolutely love this place. I actually called to get clarity on paper work and the receptionist heard in voice something was wrong. She talked a min and got me in for an appointment. And I seen Yolanda and she is fantastic. She listens she has such a kind heart but will tell me if I’m doing something I should. She builds me up and makes me pro Ise to stop putting myself down. She is absolutely amazing and the fact that they heard the hurt in my voice when I called and got me on schedule for the next day is amazing. My children also go to the same place and their therapist is amazing as well. He listens to them as individuals. So anybody needing someone this place worked wonders for me and my kids. My kids see Nick and he’s one in a million for my kids. They are love going.

Super friendly staff all around; from the front desk to the therapy room I feel cared for and respected!

Stayed here for about a month in December 2023. Terrific people from the two captains who ran this place on down. Unfortunately, I don't remember many of their names. Shoutout to Dr. Katrina Pace, an outstanding woman with a strong faith. Was so blessed to able to stay here.

There are people that care here, both residents and staff. I'm 7 years sober today. Because of grace. In order to overcome many addictions you have to separate. Salvation Army allows you that and finding self worth in work. Not many places offer that. Above all its centered on truth. CHRIST. I give it 5 out 5 stars. Quinn Dieterle
