Sanctuary was very beneficial to my recovery process. There were a few standout employees (Candace, Kevin, Desiree, Chiara) who had sincere compassion and care for what I was going through. There was a sense of community there and always someone to talk too, you never felt alone. The therapy helped me discover my issues , better understand them and deal with them head on. I now have better tools to help me move forward with life more positively. Ultimately, I really learned with this experience - you get out of it what you are willing to put into it.

Sanctuary absolutely changed my life. I didn’t think the betterment of my mental health would ever be possible, but with the help of my therapist Luke, I was able to get control of my mental health and on the path to loving myself for who I am. I also want to thank Chiarra for teaching me how to get back in touch with my authentic self!

I really enjoyed my therapist, Michel Allen. She is a really compassionate and sweet woman. She has impeccable patience, is really understanding, and cares deeply about her job and clients. I never felt rushed, or dismissed by her. She listens thoroughly and provides great feedback. I really felt seen, heard, and welcomed by her services. She is a phenomenal therapist and I would recommend her to anyone asking. The staff overall were friendly and made me feel welcomed.

The techs here are amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you have everything that you need. The houses are super comfortable and are a recovering addicts dream. This place most definitely helps recovering addicts and alcoholics get the level of care, support, and supervision that they need. This place has helped to slowly integrate me into society and helps to teach you how to live again without drugs and alcohol to function.

I am ONLY giving 5 stars specifically for IVY TRAILS. Ivy Trails saved my life. The nurses there are AMAZING…. Ms. Diane & Natalie, especially!! And the therapist, Marquita is absolutely irreplaceable. I wish I could have put them in my pocket and taken them home. They love you and talk to you like family. I went in not wanting to be there AT ALL, by my 2nd/3rd day, I was SO THANKFUL. They gave me so many tools to help cope and I will forever be thankful. I will always remember my nurses and all of the beautiful ladies that were there with me. Ivy Trails is a special place and I encourage any woman that needs any kind of mental help to PLEASE, PLEASE do this for yourself. It’s not easy at first, but you can do it, and you can succeed. THANK YALL from the bottom of my heart.

I went into Parkwood with the hopes that I'd get better and I absolutely did. The staff was amazing, very caring people. Empathetic to your struggles, kind to those like myself who were struggling. I loved the groups, the activities, and the schedule we had set for us. I was originally in the East wing, but was transferred to Ivy Trails. I'd like to name staff members Natalie, Marquita, and Rachel by name; some of the sweetest women you could ever meet. I'm so grateful to God for Parkwood, but especially Ivy Trails. I was so lonely and I'm so thankful for the women I met in this facility; they had been through so much and everyone I was around in Ivy was so understanding. Genuinely, a wonderful place with people with hearts of gold.

If you’re scrolling and feeling stuck, just like I was, take a breath and keep reading.I found RecoveryPath Helpline when everything felt like it was crashing. I didn’t know what I needed — I just knew I couldn’t keep doing what I was doing. I called them thinking I’d get some automated voice or someone cold on the other end. But instead… I got a real person. Calm. Kind. They actually listened. They didn’t throw a bunch of medical terms at me or make me feel small. They asked me simple stuff like, “How are you feeling right now?” and “What do you need today?” No pressure, no judgment. Just support. They stayed on the line while I cried. Helped me find a detox center nearby. Even followed up later to see how I was holding up. That meant something. This helpline isn’t just a number. It’s a lifeline. If you’re scared to reach out, I get it. But trust me — they’ll meet you where you are. No shame. Just help. Call ‘em. Don’t wait till it gets worse. You’re not alone, even if it feels like it. RecoveryPath helped me believe that again. Maybe it can do the same for you. 💙

RecoveryPath Helpline came through when I was at rock bottom and had no clue what to do next. I called in the middle of the night thinking I’d get voicemail or some automated stuff — but a real person picked up, calm and patient, like they actually cared. They didn’t rush me, just talked me through it and helped me breathe. Within an hour, they had me lined up with the right detox center and support I could afford. That one call flipped everything. I didn’t feel alone anymore — they had my back when it mattered most.

I was at compass for 5 months ranging from December to May, and it really changed my life. When I first started the program, I fought tooth and nail to get out of there. I did not follow the values and I completely resisted treatment. The thing that really changed my view on Compass was actually Mrs. Coco and Mrs. Stephanie. They really opened my eyes and helped guide me through the treatment. It opened my eyes and I started to realize I was there for a reason. I'll admit, it really will open your eyes, and is bit of a culture shock. For me, that was a good thing. I have now been home 2 months and I can honestly say that I think Compass helped me make it this far. Now, everyone's case is different, but I can't say thank you enough to CIC🤍

Go in with an open mindset . I read all the reviews before i was admitted into compass intervention center and i was scared and stressed on how the place was going to be . i was there from November 9th 2024 - March 8th 2025 and i did 4 months there i wasn't court ordered but i went willingly because i was going through a lot mentally and compass intervention truly saved my life . everybody's case is different so if you get there on the same date as someone else and they discharge before you don't compare yourself to them like i said every case is different . i really learned a lot and how the program worked don't try to over run the program, go with it . the program really prepares you for the outside world and the workers there aren't there for the money most of the staff are there because they truly care about the kids and there wellbeing . if your kids are willing to work the program and aren't going to give any resistance then they WILL successfully discharge just speaking from my experience. a-lot of the staff there are willing to talk to the kids and make sure they are safe and i'm going to give some shoutouts to some staff that are amazing and truly care for the kids .#1 Mr. Kaleb is an amazing staff he was always willing to talk with me and help me when i was stressed out he always was able to pick up on my habits and be able to tell if your mood was off and when you were feeling down .HE CARES ABOUT THE KIDS A LOT .#2 Ms . Tasha she is able to run a shift and ensure the safety of the kids and made sure things ran as smooth as possible a-lot of people didn't like ms.Tasha but overall ms.Tasha was always enjoyable to be around and you felt safe around her because she always was able to help steer the kids away from conflict . # 3 Mrs. Stephens she is a teacher at compass and she always made sure the kids were okay and if you were having a stressful day you could let her know and she would let you work on your class assignments later that day or later in the week Mrs. Stephens is enjoyable to be around and overall a good person . # 4 The nurses and Doctors (all of them ) they were always busy but they always managed to get us our medication and made sure we were balanced on our meds . if your meds make you feel weird Communicate with them if you just see your doctor and tell them every thing is going good with your medication but in reality its not how are they supposed to know .always communicate with them thats something they can't stress enough "communication is key ". #5 Ms. Alasha was my therapist and she was always willing to listen to me and she was able to help repair the relationship with me and my mom she was always professional and she was good at communicating she always makes sure we are okay and she WILL NOT set you up for failure . ALWAYS SET boundaries WITH YOUR PEERS ( other kids there ) . i've been home almost a month now and i'm proud to say Compass was a chapter of my life that i'll never forget because it repaired the ripped pages in my life !!!!! I really appreciate the staff and everyone there for being there for me during my lowest . " your here at your lowest but your lowest isn't forever " KADEN CLEMONS

I would like to give a big thank you to Compass hospital for saving my child's life. She was in a bad way before she decided to get help and there were always issues with her staying on her meds. Since my daughter has left from there; she has made great progress and takes her meds daily. To see be able to see my child strive and her growth are astonishing for me. Thanks to the doctors, the staff and therapists for giving my baby another chance and for believing in her. I also felt like they listened to me and wasn't judgemental; this time as a mom I finally had the chance to be heard. At the end of the day my child has a testimony and Compass you guys definitely rock!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Daybreak. The facility and staff are warm and inviting. They take the entire family under their wing and truly collaborate with all involved during the child's time there. We never felt confused, uncertain, or "in the dark" with our child's progression through the program. After a particularly traumatizing inpatient experience, we immediately felt at ease with Ms. Susie during our very detailed intake assessment. This feeling of ease continued with any staff we came in contact with throughout our child's time there, as we met regularly (weekly) with our child's therapist and psychiatrist. The option for patients to continue with regular outpatient group therapy once they've completed the partial hospitalization program (as they return to the "real world") provides extra support during that transition and helped us feel more comfortable with that transition as well. I am especially grateful for the gentle and caring way they held our child accountable and encouraged our child to take an active role in their mental health, treatment, and therapy. Our time at Daybreak improved the way we communicate and care for each other as a family, and I will be forever grateful for everything the people here did for us. The best way to wrap up how we feel about Daybreak is a direct quote from our child: "I love that place."

I cant thank Shelia, Olivia, Neil and especially Christy for helping me get back in charge of my life. I didn't know what I needed but I knew I was miserable. After 3 visits Christy was able to identify my issues and concerns. I was put in IOP which I was very hesitant to do but it was such a blessing. The program educated me on anxiety, depression, irrational thinking and much much more. The groups were so helpful and gave me so much insight on not just my issues but helped me understand issues others face. The program is a fine tuned machine that uses every moment there to help their patients. I'm grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to attend IOP and continue therapy at MHR. I use EVERY opportunity to talk about mental health when the situation presents itself since I've been through IOP. It may help just one person get the help they need, without realizing it was needed.

I went here several years ago and this place changed my life and probably saved my life. Been clean ever since. I had to write a review after reading all the bad reviews. Which most I think are just people who didn't get their way, or people who don't like following rules. When I first went here, I was court ordered and didn't want to be there. But as soon as I arrived I felt a sense of peace, and I felt welcome. I learned a lot here, about myself, and learned how to deal with life on life's terms. The counselor I had years ago, Miss Brenda, is still there and she was amazing. And, the food there was amazing too! I was under weight when I got there, and gained almost 40 pounds in a month and a half!! Like any rehab facility, it's only going to work if you really want it to work. You have to be open to change, and let the people here teach you. There are rules, and the first 7 days is a blackout. So no phone calls for that first week. I ended up staying here for 6 weeks and I am forever grateful to Serenity. I hope I would never need their services again, but if I did, I would go back there in a heartbeat! And I would highly recommend Serenity to anyone who needs treatment. Remember, it works if you want it to. And if you are really ready to change your way of life. Go in with an open mind, and a willingness to change and learn. Like I said, I am FOREVER grateful to Serenity!!
