Maple Mountain Recovery in Utah completely exceeded my expectations. From day one, their team created a highly personalized treatment plan tailored just for me—every session felt tailored to my needs. What really sets them apart is the way they seamlessly blend healing with genuine care and enjoyable experiences. Between therapy sessions, I had options like yoga, cold plunges in nature, art therapy, acupuncture, and many therapeutic adventures. It felt like real recovery, not just treatment. The staff is amazingly attentive—every single team member knew my name, remembered my goals, and checked in regularly to see how I was doing. They made sure I felt supported 100% of the time and built an environment that was both professional and warm. If you’re looking for a recovery center that cares deeply, customizes your journey, and injects a dose of fun and relaxation into the process—Maple Mountain Recovery is it. Highly recommend!

I am grateful, happy, and hopeful. Before I arrived at Ardu' I was lost in pain and self destruction. From day one I felt recognized not just as a patient but as a person. Ardu's compassionate care, expert guidance and support helped me demonstrate what true healing looks like. Ardu' possesses a spiritual aspect that I will never forget. The Ardu' staff was professional, kind, and compassionate. The meals compared to a five star restaurant, and the classes were engaging and motivational. I recommend the intensive outpatient afterwards, it was also a blessing. Thank you Ardu'! "Rise up"

My LO never had the opportunity to receive treatment here, but I can't say enough good things about Natalia who works at intake. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this. Unfortunately, our country still has a long way to go in the criminalization of those suffering with a serious mental illness. Thanks New Roads for all that you tried to do and especially Natalia.

As a professional in the industry, I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful facility. The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings, explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. I loved the "adopt a cat" program and the equine services that they offer to their students. It was clear that their mission was to provide excellent treatment to their clients, aiming to set them up for success upon leaving.

We love Embark! Our daughter’s fear had made her completely nonfunctioning in day-to-day life and her OCD was so severe that she was requiring us, her parents, to participate in her compulsions and we were forced to comply or we wouldn’t get any rest in our lives. Our first residential facility we placed our daughter in didn’t understand how to help her with her Autism, OCD, Anxiety, and Scrupulosity. My daughter described that place as being pure torture because all they would focus on is exposure therapy. Embark embraced my daughter and let her mind heal. They also let her go at her own pace. I thought, for sure, she would be at Embark for almost a year. Only 3 months after we dropped her off she was discharged and ready to get back to life. They are miracle workers. Robyn, one of the therapist, is amazing and really understood my daughter. The staff at Embark are genuine, loving people. The place is clean and welcoming. We didn’t even know about Embark when trying to find our daughter help. It took my daughter staying at an inpatient behavioral hospital for a week to find out about Embark. We are so grateful that we were led to there. Thank Embark. I will love you forever for giving our daughter back her life!

I brought my daughter to Embark to give her the space and help she needed at a difficult time in her life. She hated me the first day when dropping her off. She spent roughly 90 days there. After the 90 days we have turned around our relationship and she is very mindful and aware of her emotions and actions. The family therapy really helped us work through some issues. Family day was amazing. I am grateful to the wonderful staff, therapists, and everyone who helped my amazing daughter get some help in this crazy world. I highly recommend Embark in all aspects.

The thing you have to remember, is that this is a rehab! So all the reviews saying that they are terrible, you may want to take with a grain of salt! I had a great experience with Foothill. Ricky really changed that place for the best, and he worked his butt off with not only the staff, but the clients too, to try to figure out a Happ medium! You can't have everything you want when you're coming off drugs and alcohol! It's a facility that has guidelines and rules! Believe me, I tested and pushed both, and at times told some members of the staff things I shouldn't have said!!! Ricky could have kicked me out a couple times, but worked his tail off with me, and the staff to get me through! I completed the 90 day program a little bit early, cause I started doing the work, and going the extra miles it took. I still struggle now and again but I'll always look here first! Thanks to all of you at foothill that was there th times I've came through! You guys are awesome!

I get my medicine & talk to my counselor once a week. I also take random UA's. Far as I can tell most everything is bout same as it was after Project & Wasatch combined what not. Oh if I get complaints, I'll share them on here. You can count on it. You can do it, you're worth it. We all have a choice no matter how deep we get. I know sobriety is slow going, especially when you're accustomed to that immediate gradification. It's worth it though. OMFG is it ever. Just keep on keeping on. Sometimes one minute or even one second at a time. I'm starting to legit build my happily ever after. Long way from thinking I was gonna die & not caring. I got my son back. It's amazing how good things get when you're living right. When I was using & focused or dark stuff that's what I got. So happy to be on the other side of the spectrum now. One thing that has me less than happy lately is that I seem to be stuck carry wise which is BS as I've had nothing but clean UA's for like a year. Utah County doesn't have many options though for low income folks. If you go to a pay place you're definitely treated better. Heck with it though. Who wants to stay on methadone forever any damn way lol.

This is the best treatment center in Utah in my opinion they have totally saved my life and the therapist there will really fight for you.I've never felt so cared for and loved it's amazing the nurses are amazing the counselors everybody on the staff is so awesome I feel so welcome inn at home and really they make it not all about the medication you receive it's about the treatment. I have learned so much about myself. I've been to several other methadone clinics and I've never made so much progress as here. The doctors here are amazing too and they really understand. If you are at all considering trying to get your life together and trying to get off heroin, make an appointment and follow through with it these people will change your life. What I noticed very first because my husband and I walked down here out of desperation at 5 in the morning when we came is that everyone was pulling up in nice cars on their way to work and they all looked really happy and it was a time when me and my husband were really really bad addicted to heroin and meth and I realize these are the kind of people I want to surround myself with I totally turned my life around and just a matter of a few months! I got back my driver's license I completed treatment I'm doing wonderful on my ap&p they have totally saved my life Project Reality is the best place in Utah for treatment don't wait!!

it's the most horrible place we've ever heard of in our life. And it's tormenting my son, he's being threatened to get killed and everything staff don't care, my son had to share a room with a kid who was talking to themselves ( they were mentally bad in the head), and he ended up overdose, my son is so traumatized I'm trying to do everything I can to get him out of there, and they don't care because it's court ordered my son is not a bad kid at all he was just caught smoking so they sent him to this facility and all I hear from my son is that he just wants to get out of there and that the place is driving him nuts, no place should make you feel like that. They are supposed to make sure your doing good and okay and not just letting you be in the room, my son almost got stabbed with a toothbrush this isn't a jail or prison it's supposed to be a rehab center, and then allowing and just letting this happen is not okay I need my son out of there it's driving me crazy that he's not doing well and it's making me very very sick

This rehab center was great. Shout-out to Riri for the delicious food. Shout-out to Ms. Tascha (aka my therapist) ya she's the best therapist. Ok look times will get hard throughout your time at Odyssey. There will be drama from time to time, the best option is to remove yourself from the drama and write your encounters, focus on yourself and what you have to do. Give this program your all, if you take in everything it is very helpful. I can't complain myself. The outings are usually fun and the activities are pretty cool. (for the noobies: save up your tickets don't spend them on food too often, go out and make memories!!) The staff are really cool too and they deeply care about the kids. If you tell yourself they don't think again. Just because a staff couldn't answer a question you asked within the first 3 seconds of you asking doesn't mean they don't care or they don't like you, everyone has there own personal things going on in there life, not every staff is going to have a good day everyday. Keep your head up and put in 120% effort. More shout-outs !!! : Mike is a very understanding and wise person and he is very good to talk to if you need someone to talk to or if you want to have a 6 hour conversation (my record with him) Chris (teacher) is very smart like he should be a scientist smart. He is very helpful and good at explaining things. And he does fun things once in a while :) oof I could go on and on but I don't really want to do that :) Thank you Odyssey for leading me down a better path. Thank you Odyssey for the memories made.

I have seen this place change more lives and help more people than any other place that offers services like this. The only people who end up angry are the ones who are not willing to do the work. If you are not happy with your treatment here, you should take a look inward because most of the time if you are not successful it is because you are not doing something. Recovery is up to you if you succeed it is because of how hard you work not how hard they work. If you are unhappy maybe it is more about you.

We’ve had a very positive experience over all with Wasatch behavioral health. The front desk is always helpful for me and my kids. Zach has been a consistent, all-around fabulous counselor for my family for years now. Knowledgeable, encouraging. I also come here for medication providers for myself and I’m continuously impressed with how relatable they are, empathic, and willing to listen so we can work together. I’m grateful for this whole group. Thank you for being here!

Choice was by far the best recovery program I have ever attended. I had a 25 year meth habit and after only 6 months of attending Choice I am proud to say I've been clean for 3 years now, with no interest in going back to my old habits. The counselors and life coaches truely care about their clients. They give you the skills and tools you need to get clean and stay clean. Definitely a 5 star program!

Serenity Recovery and Wellness, located in Provo, Utah is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions including co-occurring mental health disorders. They offer flexible outpatient addiction therapy allowing patients to live at home while receiving regular treatment.
Serenity truly saved me! After a traumatic birth, I struggled with terrible anxiety and OCD. I did the IOP program for OCD and was able to get back on my feet and function again. I love the therapists and the girls. I recommend them to any woman who is struggling with their mental health postpartum.

The Provo Canyon School Springville Campus is located in Springville, Utah. They offer programs for high school boys aged 13 to 18. They’re accredited by the Joint Commission and legislated by the State of Utah to provide residential treatment. Here they have an inpatient psychiatric treatment program that provides innovative, evidence based car
I’ve spent the better part of the last 11 years of my life at Provo Canyon School as a full time teacher and when Covid situations caused a need for additional student life mentors, and since my heart broke for the many teens who were in treatment during the pandemic, I became a substitute evening, and sometimes weekends overnight staff member to help during this time of needed compassion and supervision for the situation of these teens. I am also the parent of a child named Mikey (naming him here because I have four other children and don’t want any of them to feel that their identity and reputation could be compromised by anything I say here about their brother and his experience in five separate behavioral and treatment facilities that he and I together chose to place him in to help him learn to deal with his addiction and his life traumas). In-patient treatment is at best always tough because vulnerable children are away from their parents, family and familiar friends as they voyage into living in a dorm setting with other children with some similar issues, and some with much more complex issues. Provo Canyon School provides these children with fantastic psychiatrists who also work in private practice outside the facility. My son, (who was a student body President, a medical assistant, and, sadly an Opoid addict who sometimes used illegal drugs to self medicate his bi-polar mental disorder) was prescribed, and responded very well to medications similar to what the PCS doctors prescribe our patients. Like some of these respondents on the PCS comments page, he went through spells of feeling inadequately or overly medicated until the right dosage was attained by his doctors and his compliance in taking the meds correctly and having nurses, teachers, staff, and therapists work together to help him communicate and observe the meds that helped him feel “right” mentally. This process is not easy for the patient, family, nor staff or facility in general, and a lot of patience and energy is required to just get the meds right for the desired behaviors to happen. I question negative comments by some of our past students here because time and time again I have witnessed some dramatic and wonderful mental and behavioral improvements in my PCS students within a couple weeks of getting on properly prescribed meds if needed and getting away from the substances that some may have been detoxing from. In 11 years, I have never seen any patient not have more than enough clean water from clean drinking fountains and more good food and tasty snacks, all planned and reviewed by competent dietary professionals and good cooks. Teachers and staff often dine with patients in the cafeteria and requests for special diet accommodations are often honored. As far as academics are concerned, I have worked at five accredited public schools in two states and have never worked with more distinguished and professional school academic directors than we have now at PCS and both have been at the school for over ten years. Many of the teachers have masters degrees and most have double majored with special education credentials to help both gifted and special needs students. As far as I have been able to determine, comparing PCS with the five facilities that my own son attended, (wish I had known about PCS at the time) the school directors, leadership and all facility employees that I have observed are doing an amazing job of using Trauma Informed Care, best practices, professionalism and kindness in helping patients learn the skills and have the knowledge to become happy, successful and productive members of our society.

Please don’t judge this place just because of the Paris Hilton case that by the way didn’t win the case!. That happened a long time ago, with different staff and a different owner. Things are not the same now. Let that sink in. First of all let me start by no one gets denied food or medical attention if you or your kid claims they did then they still need help cause at that point it was up to them to eat or not and IF it was true they probably got denied food because they asked for something to eat when the cafeteria is closed or because they just want more n staff didn’t have more snacks that was provided ! I’ve been there, and honestly, it wasn’t as bad as people say. I’ve seen kids cry when they had to leave not because they were scared or hurt, but because they didn’t want to go. Some kids even told the staff they felt like family. If it was really that terrible, no one would feel that way. I really liked my staff. They were nice, they helped us through a lot, and they treated us with respect when we followed the rules. We got to do fun activities on the weekends, and when we behaved well, we got rewards like group hangouts or movie time. It wasn’t just about rules it was about learning how to be better and how to work together. Now, I won’t lie and say everything was perfect. Swing A had some problems. The manager didn’t really seem to care or listen, and it made those days they worked feel kind of cold. Some staff on swing A weren’t as patient either. That part needs to change, because how staff treat kids really matters. But even then, there were still a few good people trying their best. Some people write bad reviews just because they didn’t like being told what to do. This place isn’t meant to be a vacation you can’t sit in your room all day or act out and expect no consequences, I seen a girl get jumped because she refused in her room and that’s exactly why they can’t be in rooms all day cause staff can’t watch everyone all over the unit! It’s not a chill spot It’s about learning and growing. That can be hard sometimes, but that doesn’t mean it’s abusive or unsafe. A lot of people forget that kids and staff are human. Mistakes happen. Sometimes staff were strict or got annoyed, and sometimes kids didn’t follow the rules. But I always felt like there were people there who cared staff are human and have feelings too and take a lot of mental/ emotional abuse too but They listened when you needed to talk and celebrated when you made progress. If it was really such a horrible place, it would have been shut down already. But it’s still open, and it’s still helping kids. It’s not perfect but it’s not awful either. I had a lot of good times and learned a lot about myself, and for that, I’m grateful

The school is good, it’s a place to get your head on the right place. There are not many places that don’t kick people out, except this place. I had so much anxiety meeting new people and the therapists know what they’re doing. Jordan has helped me so much she was a therapist, who left a day or so after I did. I love all the therapists there, they never pushed me away. They came to talk IF they had the time. I was told when I was there that, the people who wrote low reviews are the kids or parents of kids that did not take an advantage that school has to offer. Provo helped me get on the right path and I graduated from high school early. They are really not bad.

When compared to other behavioral health facilities, this place can actually help, rather than simply being expensive cells like the others. The low ratings from others is because they had a bad experience, but I promise that they are exaggerating. If you obey the rules of the unit, you’ll have a far better chance of experiencing some healing. Edit: I will repeat if you follow the rules of the unit (and they are strict and do take away some freedoms, but are fair, and are for the safety of everyone) you’ll have a far better chance of experiencing healing and not being so miserable at USH. You’ll notice that many of the 1 star reviews talk about how they broke rules, and that they were miserable. It’s directly related. Don’t threaten people, don’t be sexually inappropriate, don’t harass others, don’t yell (unless you’re in a room alone), don’t refuse help, and things go better.
