Chateau was an amazing opportunity to focus on myself and personal growth. I was initially hesitant as it’s hard to realize self neglect when you’re living in survival mode. I learned PTSD is real and processing trauma is necessary. I was becoming depressed without seeing it and approaching this open minded was a game changer. The staff brings not just professional experience but life experience and are compassionate and understanding. I highly recommend Chateau as a former first responder and to anyone that needs the tools to better themselves.

Ardu' Recovery..... Oh my love... I obtained more in 45 days at their residential than I had previously in a combined 12 months elsewhere. I can not convey through mere words what they've created. A fruitless and in vain attempt would be to say that the staff aren't there for a paycheck, they are here to change lives and the do daily. That they alongside the clients help to cultivate a space of healing where one truly feels capable of being present, accountable, and vulnerable. That this is the place and these are my people. That I hope you find the courage within you to walk through those doors and the dedication to change your own life, with the help of some absolutely amazing people along the way. Though those would all be severe understatements, so if you're curious at least come check us out. What's the worst that could happen? Your life could be everything you imagined and more, things you couldn't even fathom brought to fruition, families healed and faith restored? The streets will always refund your misery but if you're looking for a place full of love, light, and like minded individuals welcome home relative.

Wow, 6 months of treatment later and I have nothing but nice things to say about Cirque Lodge. I am a 24 year old girl who left her family 6 months ago to get sober. And well, I did it! Without Cirque and the 12 steps, none of this would’ve been possible. Shoutout to Candice the counselor who saved my life. I am ever grateful to this program. If you are even considering treatment, Cirque is hands down the place to get sober and STAY sober. So I just want to leave a review based on such a supportive experience with staff. My daughter has been struggling up an down and all around, n I still am working on her to finally surrender, but I want to give a review on Charles. Charles is amazing, he has called me at 10:30 pm he has dealt with many messages, many I think today might be the day and than not, everyone knows what I talk about if they are familiar with addicts and their thought process and fear. I pray my daughter will finally surrender before it's to late, everyone close to my daughters have been dying left n right and they have lost children due to addiction, my grandchildren are now adopted out, my heart melts in heartbreak and the pain the whole family goes through is endless. So I just want to give a shout out to the amazing team and all their work while not giving up on us. They keep going out of their way to help me Everytime I reach out. Great people! I will forever be grateful for Wasatch Crest. They literally saved my life! They have done for me what I once believed was impossible. They gave me hope of a new life, free from substance abuse and relief from overbearing mental health issues. I personally want to thank both Jim and Nicolette Huffman for not only opening their doors to me within residential treatment, but also for believing in me and not giving up on me. They both really do care, are highly involved and truly develop love for each and every client who is fortunate to admit into the program. Wasatch Crest has one of the best clinical teams I have ever encountered, especially my therapist Rick Buxton CMHC. All of their staff was welcoming, helpful and professional. If you are looking for a residential treatment facility that is safe, filled with numerous therapeutic activities and specializes in trauma, Wasatch Crest is the place to get into. This was my first time in residential treatment. I’ve struggled with alcohol/addiction for the majority of my life. I found real help here (for my mental health as well). I found real people here. It was honestly some of the best weeks of my life. If any of my family or friends are struggling with drinking/using I will refer them here. This is a special place. A place that fosters cultivation of real personal growth. I’m currently in their IOP program after graduating residential, and it’s excellent aftercare. This place changed my life. Of course it came with challenges; but the environment, culture, and staff here are all great. I’m the one who had to commit to recovery, but this is the place to do it.

My experience at Alpine Recovery Lodge was nothing short of life changing. Every facet of the program, from the 5 star accommodations (the food was amazing), to the incomparable addiction recovery treatment was absolutely exceptional. The staff members were kind, personable, caring and insightful. I felt like a member of the Alpine family. Last night I attended an alumni meeting at the Lodge. It felt like going home. Most importantly, through the Alpine program I was able to become aware of several key elements that were keeping me stuck in a life-long cycle of addiction. I feel like an imancipated slave who has been set free. I would whole heartedly recommend Alpine Recovery Lodge to anyone seeking to overcome addiction or mental health issues.

My son is currently in treatment at Alpine and would like to say most importantly they treat you as an individual NOT as a one size fits all. He had major Dental infections and they have gotten him the medical care he needs. He is connected with a good Community of other clients with a positive attitude to continue forward with his recovery. They also have outings which is important not to be institutionalized continuously for that mental well-being. Going to Alpine is hands down the best decision I have ever made for myself. The staff and clinicians truly care about the client's well being. I have never left a treatment center truly believing that the work has paid off and I am moving forward in a positive direction, until now. Alpine has helped me create a new beginning and have a life worth living where I am not just struggling to survive day to day. The skills they taught me including DBT, CBT, and helping me get in touch with my spiritual side are useful and I am excited to see where this new chapter in life will take me. I recently completed 60 days at Pinnacle Recovery Center. My experience,during my time there, was outstanding. I have to take a few minutes and express the amazing facility that this center is. I pray it remains in business for year and years to come! It has been such a blessing to me this year. I am so thankful for being able to find this place. It is definitely a very amazing place with people that come from all walks of life. I feel so thankful to have found The Phoenix. I am amazed by all of the amazing therapists and amazing employees that work there. Bless their amazing hearts! The only thing that I will even mention that may be a downfall for them is sometimes if you need any extra paperwork throughout your treatment for court or anything it can sometimes take extra time and I highly recommend that you give them friendly reminders through phone, emails, friendly reminders at the front desk, etc. anyways thank you to the phoenix I know that I will keep them on a list of resources if I ever need a little extra help again! I am a graduate of Deer Hollow Recovery’s program. I strongly recommend Deer Hollow for anyone who is ready and willing to do the hard work of healing. Deer Hollow staff are highly trained in supporting first responders and military veterans. Their therapists, chefs, technicians, medical, and administrative staff work in tandem to walk with clients. Due to the unique healing work that we need, the process is not always pretty. I got really upset on a few occasions while at Deer Hollow. The staff gave me room to process and also upheld standards. I appreciate the work that Deer Hollow does. I have my life back!!!

Not my first rodeo. I have been through a few rehabilitation programs with several local treatment centers in Salt Lake City. Recovery Ways at Brunswick was equipped with staff that has experience and multiple tools to assist in the recovery process. The step down progression and support is second to none. I have memories and friends from my short time that I will carry for a lifetime. I am sober today in part because of the staff and resources I was gifted on my day of surrender. Highly recommended and even though the commitment seems daunting, the experience will enhance your life skills and provide ample suggestions to assist in a fight for life outside addiction.

I noticed negative reviews here, and felt compelled to share my own experience because it has been different. I also think it’s worth noting that many of these negative reviews come from people who left treatment early. Those experiences are absolutely valid, however they do not reflect what it’s like to move through the entire program and experience the full process. things often feel hardest before getting better. To preface this, my journey at New Roads has been anything but easy (for me or staff). When working through years of pain, fear, and maladaptive behaviors, emotions can be really overwhelming, and it’s easy to direct those feelings toward the treatment process itself. There were many moments pushed me FAR past my comfort zone and forced me to confront parts of myself I had been trying to avoid. I realize now that those moments weren’t signs that treatment wasn’t working, they were evidence that it was. I just wasn’t able to see that until after I graduated from the residential program. Before coming to New Roads, I had been to several different treatment centers. I always left feeling like another patient rather than an individual. I never felt understood and I struggled that anyone genuinely cared. By the time I arrived at New Roads in May 2024, I was emotionally done, impacted by trauma, and had almost no hope that this place would be any different. I felt so broken, misunderstood, and convinced i was beyond help. I honestly came to treatment because it was the box I was supposed to check, not because I believed it could actually help. I definitely wasn’t expecting healing. However, I found something I had never fully experienced before: people who truly cared. The staff (mostly) saw me as a person first, not a diagnosis or a presentation of symptoms. They held me accountable when needed and yet still showed compassion. There were days I wanted to leave and did. There were days i questioned the process and did, and times I caught myself directing my frustration with recovery toward the people who were trying to help me. I can see that those reactions were part of healing, not proof that treatment was failing. The support I received when it felt nearly impossible, gave me courage to keep going. Today, I can honestly say that choosing New Roads was one of the most rewarding decisions. It gave me way more than skills or a break from my struggles. It gave me hope, confidence, and the belief that I could build a life worth living. No treatment center is perfect, and everyone’s experience will be different. I don’t want to diminish anyone else’s story, because every person’s experience is real and deserves to be heard. At the same time, I think it’s equally important for people considering treatment to know that positive experiences exist too. New Roads changed the trajectory of my life and I will always be grateful for that.

I'm not sure how to explain it. It feels like a jail where they baby you with unlimited cigs and good food. Its not fun to wake up to a large man in the shared bathroom shitting at 4am. Yet, the court yard and people you meet are mostly good. Get a watch before you go so you can be on time for the many groups and an MP3 radio so you have something to do.

New roads is an amazing program. I received so much help & healing Even just in the few months I attended IOP there. More so than I was ever able to obtain at any of my other programs. My therapist was absolutely amazing, and they all worked extremely hard to make sure I had everything I needed. The Dr's and all the staff are very kind and knowledgeable. They genuinely want to help people who are struggling. It's a different kind of program in its very own special way and I greatly recommend it to anyone struggling. The staff is great about helping you navigate your way so you are able to receive the most beneficial treatment for yourself. I encourage you not to hesitate to call. Going to Recovery Ways was, for me, literally a life-saving experience. I walked in there a total shaking wreck, heavily dependent on alcohol and in the process of dying, with undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues that led to my drinking. I spent 4 days in detox, getting my physical health back and decided to spend 28 days in residential treatment there. The staff were all experienced, and many of them have been in successful recovery themselves. The treatment I received there was compassionate and effective. I learned things about myself that I had been hiding from my whole life. I was able to heal old traumas and evolve into the person I want to be, rather than the person I accidentally became. I also had FUN and connected with people that will probably be lifelong friends, After residential treatment I went into their Partial Hospitalization Program and continued to receive education and help in building healthy thoughts and habits. I learned to respond to life, rather than reacting to it. My anxiety and depression melted away, layer by layer as I turned into a more effective and happy version of myself. Today I am 4 months sober, but I've learned that sobriety is just a side-effect of living the life that I choose. I do not believe that I could have done this without the wonderful humans at Recovery Ways, and all the care and love (and FUN) they shared with me. Highly recommended. And don't listen to the talk about the food. My nutritional skills also improved as a result of living there for 60 days. It may not be Club-Med, but that's not the purpose of being there. (They serve a salsa there that is better than I have ever had anywhere else.)

I voluntarily admitted myself to Recovery Ways in September 2023. When I was calling about admissions I was staying in the behavioral unit of St. Marks Hospital, and Recovery Ways made accommodations for one of their team members to pick me up straight from the hospital. In-take was very fast. The staff at Recovery Ways Residential Care (Copper Hills) were very nice and friendly. They were able to make professional connections to each client, including myself. Although they weren't qualified to make treatment plans, diagnosis etc. they offered to have 1:1 discussions with clients if they weren't able to speak to a therapist on-site or on-call. For me, the situation wasn't as dire, or needed medical intervention, but they still talked to me about a struggle I was going through with my family. The occupational therapists are very sweet and insightful. Yes, they do help clients shop for nicotine, or do smoking supply runs every week. But, when I was at Recovery Ways (copper hills) it was clear to me that they weren't going to associate themselves with forcing clients/patients to adhere to strict guidelines but rather held us accountable for our actions. For instance, I was told by therapists and staff members that it is my choice if I want to pick up smoking, but they advised strongly to clients/patients to do their best to not pick up smoking habits as it will stunt our overall recovery from other substances or make it harder to receive successful treatment. The other residents/clients who smoked would also tell me to not start smoking or vaping. My therapist did have me go over my past trauma with her, but it was so she could have a better understanding of my case. The Med Technician who administered my prescriptions to me helped advocate for me to my psychiatrist appointed by Recovery Ways about having ongoing PTSD related night terrors. Because of him, I was able to be put on a sleeping pill and another medication that helps with PTSD night terrors. I went into Recovery Ways experiencing suicidal ideation (and having recently attempted), urges to self-harm, mania and lots of other symptoms/diagnoses. But, at the end of my treatment (after moving to Brunswick) I was able to recover successfully. Two years later and my GAD is in remission, my psychotic symptoms that was diagnosed alongside my Bipolar 1 Disorder is no longer affecting me. I have also stayed with their recommended psychiatrist when I was being discharged from Recovery Ways. And their excursions for physical activity/occupational therapy activities were kind of like surprises but they still gave us a few minutes to get dressed for the activities. Overall, my experience was amazing and every staff in each Recover Ways building were very helpful. I don't know if the chef at Brunswick is still working there, but in 2023 he was an amazing cook and made sure each meal he made satisfied the residents/clients. I'd recommend Recovery Ways for anyone.

I sent my daughter here to get help with many things. I was overwhelmed and didn't know what else to do. I was really nervous about sending her to a treatment facility because I have heard a lot of scary stories about people's experiences at these types of places. I will say it was the best decision I could have made! She made so much progress due to her therapist. Robyn A. Is the best therapist. She really knows how to help kids and get them to think about things differently. I cannot say enough good things about her. Bethann was amazing at helping us get started and welcomed us with compassion and care. The nurse manager Megan was great too. Mitch was also wonderful and gave updates weekly on how my kiddo was doing. So many of the staff were fantastic and really tried to work with my child. I am so thankful for Embark. I can just wait it out and live to see what my life is gonna end like, if I didnt like it oh well im dead. When I was thirteen, I was treated fairly by any means, but I had beef with Bethany which was the staff that was working Thursdays through Saturdays, and she gets after me for the smallest problems from another black patient trying to say that I'm racist when I didn't say anything derogatory at all, there were other patients are breaking the rules, I get in even more trouble for saying stuff that was claimed to be inappropriate but which are not. When it was school hours I got in trouble for listening to explicit music while the high school aged patients were listening to explicit music. And the stupidest things that the high school aged patients say is that they were a bunch of gangster wannabes causing fights for over the stupidest crap, I've gotten picked on by the older ones by them claiming that I was gay, but which I'm not. And also they picked on me for being schizophrenic, white, christian, and autistic. And the staff didn't do anything about it. And when I fought back. I get In the most trouble for basically being myself. And also the staff pick favors on patients. So if your autistic child or teen goes in those dorms. Just to let you know that they are going to be picked on because of their disability and race

I am a graduate of Deer Hollow Recovery’s program. I strongly recommend Deer Hollow for anyone who is ready and willing to do the hard work of healing. Deer Hollow staff are highly trained in supporting first responders and military veterans. Their therapists, chefs, technicians, medical, and administrative staff work in tandem to walk with clients. Due to the unique healing work that we need, the process is not always pretty. I got really upset on a few occasions while at Deer Hollow. The staff gave me room to process and also upheld standards. I appreciate the work that Deer Hollow does. I have my life back!!!

I am so grateful for the Center for Change. I came in with very little awareness of my binge eating disorder. I was able to get the support I needed in residential treatment including regular meals support, various therapies, and safety support. The therapists are well educated and very kind. The dietician’s are amazing at helping with various types of eating disorders. The care techs are great at support during times of distress and very loving. The only feedback I have that prevents me from giving 5 stars include the cleanliness of the facility. It seems CFC has been recently acquired and the budgets have changed. It would be nice if there was more regular deep cleaning of the facilities. I also would say that there needs to be more consistency of treatment rules on the units. It gets confusing of what is and is not allowed especially when new rules are added regularly. I did feel like there are plenty of ways to give feedback during your stay though and genuine interest in continuing to hear clients suggestions and considerations of what can be altered. It just takes some time for implementation.

I would have told u that this is a great place and I would have recommended you to go here, BUT I WAS TAPERED OFF FROM 180MGS WAITING FOR MY INSURANCE TO GO THRU! I've been coming here for SEVERAL YEARS, and went from having 2 week take home privileges to loosing E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.! Crazy to think that they couldn't work something out UNTIL... and if I was to be turned down for medicade then I CAN SEE GOING TO THIS LENGTH, BUT CMON, THIS IS MESSED UP! So, this clinic doesn't care about YOU AS THEIR PATIENT, HOW LONG U HAVE BEEN HERE OR HOW WELL UR DOING .... THEY CARE ABOUT GETTING PAID!

I had an excellent experience at Willow Tree receiving help for alcoholism. The staff was incredible, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the administrative staff did wonders with my insurance company so that the whole experience was possible. I was nervous about going to treatment, but I couldn't be happier that I did, and Willow Tree exceeded my hopes and expectations. On April 4, 2025 I was checked into Wasatch Recovery Treatment Cent from San Francisco, CA. My best friend had drove from Utah to pick me up because I had back to back overdoses and was close to dying every single day from an extreme GHB, methamphetamine, alcohol, and cocaine addiction, as well as heavy Xanax, klonopin, oxy, and Adderall abuse. I was so bad that he and a small group of my closest friends had to pack my apartment for me before I left, because I was so disconnected from myself and reality. For 20 years I have battled addiction off and on and was always missing the key to keep me in a place where I didn't WANT to do drugs anymore. When I got to Wasatch there was a culture shock and it was scary for me. Utah isn't as diverse as California (especially San Francisco) and there was a fear that I would be treated differently for being a gay man in a conservative state. This was not the case at Wasatch. I was greeted with love and kindness, acceptance and patience. I had a time I wanted to leave and they gave me the space to do so, alongside with the opportunity to questioning my own reasoning for it. This lead to a personal meeting with the owner of Wasatch, Mark that really showed me what This program was about. A type of love that I had never experienced from complete strangers that would soon blossom into a community of friends and family that have supported me throughout every step. Today, I am over a year sober. I have a good job, an apartment, I'm on the softball league, and I have 2 dear friends who even helped me with a car so that I could get to work and rebuild my life. I have rekindled relationships and transformed my mind, body, and spirit. This program works if you are willing to work for it too. They will show you so many variations of therapy that will explain how addiction works in the brain, a personalized therapist will challenge you to go deeper in yourself than you ever wanted, and the experiential therapy will reconnect you with life and nature. The food is great, the staff is loving and comes from the heart, and it is a safe place to grow bigger than you could ever imagine. That's why I love Wasatch and if you're reading this and need help, I hope you know that this is a special place that can help you too.

Wasatch has been the absolute BEST!! The staff is amazing and each one of the clients get to have access to therapy with The main Man Todd Sylvester who really can figure out what needs to be tweaked or overhauled like me!! Last but most importantly is the yoga that they provide in treatment lead by the master yogi Tina the Guru who can see right through you which makes it easier to be real which feels good. Because of there recovery yoga classes they provide after treatment with the Best teacher on the planet Sage, they get my 5 stars and 🕺🏻emoji!! Get the help you deserve and call Wasatch!! Hard work with people who care!!!!

I just recently returned from spending 5 weeks at Pathways. While it was long and difficult it will prove to be very much worth it in the long run. The entire staff is incredible. The CEO, house manager, Dr., therapists and the entire support staff genuinely care about your wellbeing and treat you with understanding, love and respect. It may not be the fanciest facility but it's clean, peaceful and full of positivity. I've been to "luxury" rehab facilities in the past and I'll take Pathways staff and care over the "luxury" any day. If you truly want to get well and are willing to do the work I highly recommend Pathways to start your journey towards recovery.

Two years ago, I came to Pathways after a year of looking for help for a severe eating disorder where I lived in Nevada, to no avail. I had no hope or motivation to live anymore, but after my family convinced me, I decided to give it one last try. It is difficult to express how special this program is. Especially for those who really want life to get better. Their approach is unique, focusing on the specific issues underlying maladaptive behaviors and aiming to heal what makes people want to turn to substances or self-destructive behavior. I am alive today and actively pursuing a future because of the amazing, supportive staff at Pathways. I have experienced more positive, effective progress in the 2+ years I’ve been working with Tina than I experienced in the previous decade of therapy. Her patience, acceptance, and real/relatable nature has given me the space to make healthier decisions and the support to face difficult truths. Michael Ryan is an incredible recovery specialist who cares enough to be direct and honest and knows how denial can derail recovery. Yoga Chelsey has a wealth of knowledge and genuine desire to see clients heal. Doc Sellers was fantastic and encouraged me to keep trying when facing medication-related concerns and issues. Honestly, there are too many amazing people, both Clinical and Support staff, to specifically name them all. No program is perfect. There is a lack of attention given to teaching a variety of healthy coping skills, especially for a program that treats disorders which typically involve emotional dysregulation and trauma. Client dynamics can be a mixed bag and even professionals sometimes make mistakes. However, everyone is passionate about helping clients turn their lives around. Pathways is a special community and offers so many options to fit individuals’ lives. If you are willing to do the work, they are willing to walk with you through it.

Having been to many treatment centers in the past 22 years I recently graduated from Pathways residential treatment and have to say it has helped me help myself more than any other treatment center. Pathways has a unique approach to the treatment of mental health and addiction to where I didn't just feel like another client, I felt like part of a family who understood me, staff included. I wish I could single out every staff member there because they all care so much. I do want to give a shout out to one staff member. If it hadn't been for Ally who talked with my daughter for an hour, and then me when we were looking for a treatment center, and the way she took the time to explain to us what Pathways was about without trying to sell something really helped me make a decision that would change my life. I just graduated from Journey Treatment Center and I would recommend it to anyone genuinely looking to change their life. When I was researching treatment centers the first question I asked was “Do you have a chef that can handle Celiac Disease?” Diego is the chef there and not only can he handle Celiac Disease, but he does it with ease! He always made sure to make my food first and it definitely wasn’t basic! Between Coffee Cakes, Pesto Pasta, his specialty pancakes (we all know how hard it is to make a decent GF pancake) it was beyond delicious. In regards to the treatment team and curriculum they have outdone any other program I’ve been to or heard about. The average week consists of going to a local gym that is massive- check out EOS in Sandy, then process group with therapists who are also recovering addicts. You feel like they actually get it because they do! In the afternoon it’s a study class around DBT, shame resilience, and healthy communication. In the evenings on M-Th was a meeting either in house speaker or an outside meeting (shoutout to Alano club!). Friday nights were spent playing Sober Softball which I highly recommend because I had a blast! My therapist, Sharon is a strong independent woman that set a huge example to me on boundaries, something I really struggled with going into treatment and have now made strides of progress. I feel I grew as much in 8 weeks as I did in a prior 12 years of therapy. Tyler, the COO, and Jeffery my case manager were able to help me transition to a Sober Living that allowed me to get my ESA back home with me. Rich, Luke, Jeremy, Noah, Christina, Dustin and the incredible support staff also played a huge part in me graduating successfully and starting the next chapter in my life. For the first time in a decade I have 100 days Sober and I’m sailing along. I can’t wait to see how life turns out for me in this next decade!

Baylor/Journey treatment program allowed me to learn about my addiction as a disease and how to maintain it. I don’t think I would still be clean without the help from treatment. I love life, I love the person looking back at me in the mirror. Thank you Dave and Tyler, you guys are awesome

Next level is a great treatment and Sober Living properties program, I have been with them since end of 2022 and still reside there in a Management position. The staff is great. Well respected and very helpful to the clients. Helping others overcome there addiction and behaviors is amazing. Times get tough but the Management is always behind to make things better. I know without Next level I'm not sure exactly what my life would be. They have help me grow in so many ways..
