I had an excellent experience at Willow Tree receiving help for alcoholism. The staff was incredible, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the administrative staff did wonders with my insurance company so that the whole experience was possible. I was nervous about going to treatment, but I couldn't be happier that I did, and Willow Tree exceeded my hopes and expectations. Thank you, Willow Tree, for all the help, friendships, guidance, support, and for my sobriety! PS- about to celebrate 6 years. 🥰🙏

I was a non-functional alcoholic with a death wish when I entered Willow Tree 10 years ago. I haven't had a drink and my life has flourished ever since. I have much love, respect, and appreciation for all of those who helped me in my time of need @ Willow Tree. My experience was transformative. Pinnacle Recovery is an alcohol and drug rehab program for adults in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wow, what an amazing time I have had! Flying in from North Carolina, MK, Sean and Becca were really helpful and respectful of my needs for sobriety. MK, guided me through Admissions and played a key part during my time at Pinnacle. I was worried at first that this facility was just like any other rehabs. Just a common money grab, but to my surprise Pinnacle really wants the best for you. After coming from NextStep Detox, I was greeted by Anthony and Sean! They gave me a great orientation and the clients gave me a warm welcome! Becca and Sean over saw our programming and were very helpful with personal development and were very attentive regarding outside needs during treatment. If I needed to see my legal team or doctors, etc. Becca and Sean would take took time out of their schedule to assist me. The support staff are very friendly, they treated me like I was their best friend. If I got out of line the support staff would help correct me in a way that wasn’t punitive. Anthony and Brooke are both in recovery and so is most staff, they really cared about your sobriety, and will guide you through recovery. The food scene is amazing, nutritious and very healthy. Chef Ed is off the chart, a great chef. I’m not a salmon fan, but he made me a delicious meal to substitute for Salmon! Chef Ed picks fresh foods, so nothing is old or boring! The Interns, and therapists really want to see you be successful. My therapist Julie has gone above and beyond when it came to help my mental health. Her approach to mental health is really awe inspiring. I really appreciate Cassie, Cory and Londyn help as well! The activities are made to help you feel comfortable while working on yourself. Troy, MK, Sean and Becca have built a truly remarkable treatment facility. From Mental Health treatment, to the recreational activities, their passion to help clients are more than I expected. I’m forever grateful to the love and caring team members at Pinnacle for my journey through Sobriety. If you’re looking for mental health care, please reach out to Pinnacle. I would not have been able to sober without the support of some amazing friends whom I met in a lovely treatment center! Also a shoutout to Kourntey, Mary, Londyn, Brooke, Anthony, Jasmine, Janae and many more!

I am grateful, happy, and hopeful. Before I arrived at Ardu' I was lost in pain and self destruction. From day one I felt recognized not just as a patient but as a person. Ardu's compassionate care, expert guidance and support helped me demonstrate what true healing looks like. Ardu' possesses a spiritual aspect that I will never forget. The Ardu' staff was professional, kind, and compassionate. The meals compared to a five star restaurant, and the classes were engaging and motivational. I recommend the intensive outpatient afterwards, it was also a blessing. Thank you Ardu'! "Rise up"

I was there for 2 1/2 months. The program is pretty good, and the mentor staff was good. Administrative staff were okay. Food was okay except for the eggs; they were always gross. Communication skills between ALL staff & clients & therapists/counselors/case managers, really NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. The one MAJOR ISSUE I had was when I needed medical attention (having chest pain & SOB) I was told that there was no one to take me to the hospital, and that they weren't allowed to call an ambulance at any time. I was told to take 2 Tylenol and go back to bed. Apparently, Utah law states that their facility doesn't have to provide medical care. It is not required. One client went 2 weeks with a broken foot before they received any type of medical care. The "clinical" or medical staff that was there, is extremely short handed. The main person who was an APRN or a CMA (never did figure out what her title was) was a complete mean, rude, not nice person. She has extreme poor communication skills. Even when we took our complaints to the admin staff, they listened to us, but nothing was ever done. We heard numerous times that the "clinical staff/medical staff" is the biggest complaint they always hear about, but they would never fix the problem. They need more staff for Clinical, they need more Psychiatrists who will actually see patients in person instead of via zoom. There were only 2 case managers, and they are completely overworked. The therapists also need to have more staff available. If you needed anything on a weekend, like medical attention, good luck getting it, because it isn't going to happen. The program is good, but in addition to fixing your mental health or addiction or both, you have to stay on top of advocating for yourself and constantly following up on things, so just use caution and make sure that you have some outside help that will fight for you.

Honestly new roads was one of the best things that happened to me. Most of the staff (literally all except one) were absolutely amazing and helped me on my healing journey so much. My only complaint would be about the program manager at transitional living. He delivered extremely devastating news to me over text and just all around didn't seem to care at all about me. He let his personal problems get in the way of the clients care and treatment. He preached a lot of things that he didn't follow himself. My review would've been 5 stars if he didn't work there. Other than that tho, shout out to my therapist. I have appreciated her so much more than I can express. She really did save my life.

New Haven Treatment Center is a residential treatment facility for young girls aged 14 through 18. The residents at New Haven struggle with mental illness, substance misuse, self-harm, or other behavioral issues. The campus, located in Spanish Fork, Utah, is made up of three large, fully staffed houses that accommodate up to 16 residents. An on-si
Sending my daughter to a residential treatment center was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make as a parent, and I was incredibly apprehensive at first. However, our experience with New Haven’s Stabilization & Assessment Program far exceeded every expectation I had. I am genuinely grateful for the level of care, support, and communication we received from day one. The clinical director and my daughter’s therapist, Cassi, was truly exceptional. Cassi built trust with my daughter in a way I had not seen before, and knowing that my daughter felt safe going to her with anything meant everything to me. The clinical leadership made sure I understood every step of the process, and they took my concerns seriously from the moment we arrived. Their professionalism, compassion, and genuine investment in my daughter’s well-being stood out immediately. The nursing staff was just as incredible. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure her safety, monitor her needs, and communicate with me about even the smallest changes or questions. There was never a moment when I felt out of the loop. Whether it was a medical update or a quick check-in, their communication was consistent, thoughtful, and reassuring. I could always reach someone when I needed to, and I never once felt like my daughter wasn’t in excellent hands. One of the biggest strengths of New Haven’s program is how thorough, individualized, and comprehensive their assessment process is. They provided the most detailed psychological evaluation my daughter has ever received, and for the first time, I truly felt like her experiences, symptoms, and struggles were understood with depth and accuracy. They paid attention to nuances that are so often overlooked by other providers, and those insights have already transformed how I support her at home. Despite some negative reviews in the past, our experience was nothing short of outstanding. The program is thoughtfully designed, tailored to each child’s needs, and grounded in compassion and clinical expertise. I felt supported at every turn; not just my daughter, but me as a parent navigating an overwhelming situation. My daughter made meaningful progress during her three months there, and the foundation they helped her build is something she continues to benefit from today. I am sincerely grateful for the entire team at New Haven, and I would not hesitate to recommend this program to any family whose child needs this level of care. They truly changed our lives for the better.

The team of therapists, relational coaches, medical staff, and teachers was all needed to create a safety bubble around our teen while she experienced a real and present storm in her life requiring therapy (individual, group, & family therapy). After 12 months of school and therapy, she was able to actually complete high school early and has launched successfully into her college experience. Thankfully, New Haven offers aftercare options to make the transition bearable- it is a lot to transition from a safety bubble to college life. We appreciate the deep care from all the staff, including the cook and night staff, who all make themselves available to the kiddos when a listening ear is needed. The reason for 4 stars was because we would’ve like to see more daily physical activity included in the program for a healthy lifestyle. However, there were parent weekends to national parks and many outdoor opportunities. In summary, New Haven aims at making families whole and we were blessed to be one of those families.

My LO never had the opportunity to receive treatment here, but I can't say enough good things about Natalia who works at intake. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this. Unfortunately, our country still has a long way to go in the criminalization of those suffering with a serious mental illness. Thanks New Roads for all that you tried to do and especially Natalia.

Since 2023, I have been under the care of Dr. Susi Dalanhese, a psychiatrist whom I highly recommend. Her thoroughness and exceptional demeanor set her apart from any other doctor I have encountered. She possesses a unique ability to genuinely listen, which was a significant improvement from my previous experiences with psychiatrists. Dr. Dalanhese consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of her patients' feelings and beliefs, and she actively incorporates feedback from guardians. Her commitment to patient well-being is evident in the comprehensive care she provides. Additionally, she is remarkably adept and approachable when assisting with administrative tasks, such as signing ADA accommodation forms. Her positive feedback and intelligence further enhance the patient experience. Dr. Dalanhese’s ability to manage complex situations with ease and her insightful guidance truly make her an outstanding medical professional.

I get my medicine & talk to my counselor once a week. I also take random UA's. Far as I can tell most everything is bout same as it was after Project & Wasatch combined what not. Oh if I get complaints, I'll share them on here. You can count on it. You can do it, you're worth it. We all have a choice no matter how deep we get. I know sobriety is slow going, especially when you're accustomed to that immediate gradification. It's worth it though. OMFG is it ever. Just keep on keeping on. Sometimes one minute or even one second at a time. I'm starting to legit build my happily ever after. Long way from thinking I was gonna die & not caring. I got my son back. It's amazing how good things get when you're living right. When I was using & focused or dark stuff that's what I got. So happy to be on the other side of the spectrum now. One thing that has me less than happy lately is that I seem to be stuck carry wise which is BS as I've had nothing but clean UA's for like a year. Utah County doesn't have many options though for low income folks. If you go to a pay place you're definitely treated better. Heck with it though. Who wants to stay on methadone forever any damn way lol.

They start off seeming very nice, and the staff is friendly at first. But once you’ve been there for a while and they find out more about you, they begin to treat you judgmentally. There are about two or three people there who are genuinely sincere and do care, but the rest seem to be more focused on control than compassion. Beware of this company they’re manipulators who take advantage of people trying to recover. I remember one of the other occupants there threatened my life, and when I wanted to leave because my job and home was on the line, they refused to release me. I was basically held hostage for 30 days. Be cautious about that one clause in their agreement. Also, every time you take a drug test, you’ll be charged even though they don’t tell you that upfront. Those are hidden fees that show up only after you leave the clinic.

I am happy to say she graduated yesterday, after 3 months, and is now a new happy creature who is full of life. Not only did this experience change my daughter's life, but it shifted the whole dynamic of our family, repairing relationships along the way. I will be forever grateful for the care she received. Reggie was her therapist and did an incredible job. He is the BEST. If you have a loved one in need of healing I highly recommend JMCR. The staffing is fantastic and the treatments work! I completed the 90 day program a little bit early, cause I started doing the work, and going the extra miles it took. I still struggle now and again but I'll always look here first! Thanks to all of you at foothill that was there th times I've came through! You guys are awesome!

These guys have been nothing short of amazing and literally save lives. They are here to help! If you need help… you are not alone and you don’t have to go through it alone! From the front desk, to the doctors, and counselors (Mckenna) they are very attentive and actually give a shit about you as a patient, and a person!

I attended PCS from 2004-2005. As a person who has now worked in the behavioral health field for over 10 years and has seen hundreds of adolescent program I can honestly say that I have never seen a program with such violence, brutality, lack of clinical design and training. I witnessed horrifying events at PCS such as 300 pound staff members grinding children's faces into the pavement for not walking the way they desired. I watched staff keep another student in a 6x6 concrete room without any clothes for over a week. We saw a therapist for one hour each week, no group therapy, lots of sedatives and discipline. PLEASE PLEASE - do your research before sending children here. There are great programs in this country for specific mental health and substance abuse disorders, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

This place is awful! The staff and nursing were terrible! The nursing, psychiatrist , and other staff all lied to me multiple times! They all talk bad about this place themselves! Complaining they just hire anyone off the streets and most of them don't even do their jobs! They kept giving my son medicine that I had to tell them 6 times not to give him! If he didn't take it , he would get in trouble! Even though it was listed on the intake form! I had to send in a doctor's note that he couldn't take them and they still didn't listen until I called in a welfare check from the police department! My son has stomach problems and the bathrooms were locked! My son's medications were all switched causing him to now have some kind of heart problem! When he told them he was waking up with heart pulpatations and couldn't breathe he was ordered to go back to sleep! Then they tried to tell me it was just anxiety! I demanded the take him for an echocardiogram, which indeed showed his heart was not working correctly! They did nothing! My son needed to have his electrolytes replaced due to constant diarrhea, which they told me they would do, they didn't! The staff were mean to the kids and encouraged kids to fight! They also allowed my son to be attacked multiple times by other kids! I fought to get my son discharged from there since he was there on a court order! Due to the neglect and care for my son's physical problems.....I also reported them to the Child protective service in Utah! As for the pool, rock climbing wall and all the wonderful things they say they offer the kids....its all a lie! The pool was empty and there was weeks in the summer, were they weren't even allowed outside! My son came back missing half his clothes, his shoes, his prescription glasses, and all the things I sent him there! All which were stolen or thrown away! All they could say was there was nothing they could do about it, I shouldn't have sent him with name brand clothes! WHAT?? His blood test upon dismissal, showed he was dehydrated and malnutrition! He also lost at least 20lbs while there! This is so sad to see because they are supposed to be helping kids! They greatly failed my son and I am sure others! When I tried to inform the therapist, which is who you are supposed to inform of any problems, nothing would get done! My son has PTSD from this place! There were so many problems with this place! My son never felt safe in this place from the other kids or staff! I sure hope for the sake of the kids that go there to get help, that something gets done! If a parent had treated their child like this, the state would have taken them away!

Choice was by far the best recovery program I have ever attended. I had a 25 year meth habit and after only 6 months of attending Choice I am proud to say I've been clean for 3 years now, with no interest in going back to my old habits. If I had had more time in my week I would have tried the group sessions, but my experience with individual therapy was terrible. I found my experience there very impersonal, I was always repeating things about myself and my situation every time for each of the four sessions I attended. I understand having a lot of people you work with, but to have the therapist taking notes the entire time and not seem to remember anything about you the next session, just gave the impression they didn t care at all during the most vulnerable time of my life. That made it incredibly difficult to develop any sense of trust. Unless your situation is only textbook postpartum depression, don t waste your time on individual therapy. The therapist I met with didn t seem prepared to handle anything comorbid. My last session there was ridiculously invalidating and rather than being understanding of my difficultly expressing what I was feeling, I was told I could leave the office. Well thank goodness I did! I found much better care elsewhere, I recommend Brinley at Bristol Health in Orem, she has helped me immensely.

The New Roads program was extremely helpful for our 18yo child. Both the facility and the staff are excellent. We've worked with lots of programs like this and they were by far the most communicative and also took great strides to ensure our whole family was educated in the basics of DBT. Our loved one made tremendous progress in their five months and really liked it there. We highly recommend and should our child need these types of services again, we will go back to New Roads.

New Roads Behavioral Health is by far one of the most clinically sound and cost effective treatment programs in the country if not the world. As a nonprofit RecoverWisely is always looking for affordable treatment centers with an excellent clinical component. They are extremely hard to find. RecoverWisely has sent dozens of people to New Roads throughout the years and have seen nothing but stellar results. The majority of the people that we have referred to New Roads are living independently, working, are sober, mentally healthy, and are on good terms with their family. This treatment center has a true DBT track too. That is rare to find. RecoverWisely definitely recommends this program. We are grateful for the CEO Eric Schmidt and his team. They do incredible work that saves lives!

Past client here, I spend almost two months at JMCR and during that time I was able to make so much progress to become the person I always wanted to be. JMCR allowed me to see my strengths and find love for myself, It taught me just how compassionate I really am and the impact that I have on others. Reggie and his team are experts in their field and work tirelessly (with love) to affect positive change in their clients. I remember on one occasion some of the staff were just reflecting on the emotional energy of time and tears started to well in their eyes. They told us how they just want the best for us and truly were expressing just how much they cared. Where other treatment programs might be punitive, JMCR takes a different approach to build you up with respect and compassion to help you find your strengths. Nothing could have helped me more than how JMCR helped me. I will be thankful for it for the rest of my life and I will never forget the people I met along the way! It’s important to note that I tried other treatment centers and they didn’t quite work… GO WITH JMCR you won’t regret it!

I’ve spent the better part of the last 11 years of my life at Provo Canyon School as a full time teacher and when Covid situations caused a need for additional student life mentors, and since my heart broke for the many teens who were in treatment during the pandemic, I became a substitute evening, and sometimes weekends overnight staff member to help during this time of needed compassion and supervision for the situation of these teens. I am also the parent of a child named Mikey (naming him here because I have four other children and don’t want any of them to feel that their identity and reputation could be compromised by anything I say here about their brother and his experience in five separate behavioral and treatment facilities that he and I together chose to place him in to help him learn to deal with his addiction and his life traumas). In-patient treatment is at best always tough because vulnerable children are away from their parents, family and familiar friends as they voyage into living in a dorm setting with other children with some similar issues, and some with much more complex issues. Provo Canyon School provides these children with fantastic psychiatrists who also work in private practice outside the facility. My son, (who was a student body President, a medical assistant, and, sadly an Opoid addict who sometimes used illegal drugs to self medicate his bi-polar mental disorder) was prescribed, and responded very well to medications similar to what the PCS doctors prescribe our patients. Like some of these respondents on the PCS comments page, he went through spells of feeling inadequately or overly medicated until the right dosage was attained by his doctors and his compliance in taking the meds correctly and having nurses, teachers, staff, and therapists work together to help him communicate and observe the meds that helped him feel “right” mentally. This process is not easy for the patient, family, nor staff or facility in general, and a lot of patience and energy is required to just get the meds right for the desired behaviors to happen. I question negative comments by some of our past students here because time and time again I have witnessed some dramatic and wonderful mental and behavioral improvements in my PCS students within a couple weeks of getting on properly prescribed meds if needed and getting away from the substances that some may have been detoxing from. In 11 years, I have never seen any patient not have more than enough clean water from clean drinking fountains and more good food and tasty snacks, all planned and reviewed by competent dietary professionals and good cooks. Teachers and staff often dine with patients in the cafeteria and requests for special diet accommodations are often honored. As far as academics are concerned, I have worked at five accredited public schools in two states and have never worked with more distinguished and professional school academic directors than we have now at PCS and both have been at the school for over ten years. Many of the teachers have masters degrees and most have double majored with special education credentials to help both gifted and special needs students. As far as I have been able to determine, comparing PCS with the five facilities that my own son attended, (wish I had known about PCS at the time) the school directors, leadership and all facility employees that I have observed are doing an amazing job of using Trauma Informed Care, best practices, professionalism and kindness in helping patients learn the skills and have the knowledge to become happy, successful and productive members of our society.

Please don’t judge this place just because of the Paris Hilton case that by the way didn’t win the case!. That happened a long time ago, with different staff and a different owner. Things are not the same now. Let that sink in. First of all let me start by no one gets denied food or medical attention if you or your kid claims they did then they still need help cause at that point it was up to them to eat or not and IF it was true they probably got denied food because they asked for something to eat when the cafeteria is closed or because they just want more n staff didn’t have more snacks that was provided ! I’ve been there, and honestly, it wasn’t as bad as people say. I’ve seen kids cry when they had to leave not because they were scared or hurt, but because they didn’t want to go. Some kids even told the staff they felt like family. If it was really that terrible, no one would feel that way. I really liked my staff. They were nice, they helped us through a lot, and they treated us with respect when we followed the rules. We got to do fun activities on the weekends, and when we behaved well, we got rewards like group hangouts or movie time. It wasn’t just about rules it was about learning how to be better and how to work together. Now, I won’t lie and say everything was perfect. Swing A had some problems. The manager didn’t really seem to care or listen, and it made those days they worked feel kind of cold. Some staff on swing A weren’t as patient either. That part needs to change, because how staff treat kids really matters. But even then, there were still a few good people trying their best. Some people write bad reviews just because they didn’t like being told what to do. This place isn’t meant to be a vacation you can’t sit in your room all day or act out and expect no consequences, I seen a girl get jumped because she refused in her room and that’s exactly why they can’t be in rooms all day cause staff can’t watch everyone all over the unit! It’s not a chill spot It’s about learning and growing. That can be hard sometimes, but that doesn’t mean it’s abusive or unsafe. A lot of people forget that kids and staff are human. Mistakes happen. Sometimes staff were strict or got annoyed, and sometimes kids didn’t follow the rules. But I always felt like there were people there who cared staff are human and have feelings too and take a lot of mental/ emotional abuse too but They listened when you needed to talk and celebrated when you made progress. If it was really such a horrible place, it would have been shut down already. But it’s still open, and it’s still helping kids. It’s not perfect but it’s not awful either. I had a lot of good times and learned a lot about myself, and for that, I’m grateful
