Today, I had the enjoyable experience of meeting Adam & his friend outside the Ravenswood WV Food Fair. I believe in this program & pray more locations will open. Addiction is at epidemic levels. Many need help or a voice that says, "I care about you". I do care about all of you & you can be reassured that God does too. The enemy comes to steal, kill & destroy. The youth are in his cross hairs. You're a target because you're a threat. You need to know how valuable you are. We all should do anything we can to help this organization. In response to the other comments, would you rather your loved one be either dead or homeless on the streets due to addiction? Can't comprehend anyone that is negative or has anything bad to say about a program that's saving lives. You should be grateful. I'm beyond thankful for this program. Great ER Staff, had 6 stroke in my abdominal cavity, 4 in my brain. My papaw is actually writing this review because i cant move my right hand anymore. The five stars are for Dr Joseph (Chief of Dental Services) at this facility. He is a compassionate and meticulous dentist who has provided me with excellent dental care. In addition, I highly praise his staff who also deliver superb care. This facility has many others who are exemplary and always provide friendly caring service.
However, if possible I would rate other clinical concerns with a ZERO.
My experience as an inpatient, as well as, my time (over 20 years) as a physician at this facility has shown me an ongoing issue with suboptimal/horrible quality of some inpatient beds. This most certainly has a negative impact on quality of patient care. Over the years I brought this issue up to the HVAMC hierarchy with minimal positive response.
However, the other concerns at least over the past nine months have been :
1. ineptitude of phone service. Operators are pleasant, but wait time for an initial answer to my call is amazingly slow or in some cases NO ANSWER at all.
2. Most importantly of all, the horrendous multitude of problems with referral to a non-VA specialist. This has been very apparent to me since early 2025. I have had the misfortune of requiring numerous urgent referrals to a number of different specialists. All of these referrals met with untimely delays in attempting to get an appointment and generally not always getting a specialist who I have confidence in regarding my well-being.
3. HVAMC needs to hire or contract an ENT physician (at least part time).
4. The overall VA work force (nationally) has been severely diminished and likely will be further depleted which will impact negatively veterans overall quality of care. I have spoken with numerous veterans who are voicing these concerns.
5. Despite what you are hearing, there are ongoing plans to ‘cut’ or eliminate disability payments to qualified veterans by Congressional Budget Committee. This is outrageous
especially since it is being conducted by a vast majority of congressional members who never served a single day in uniform. Once ‘they’ start cutting benefits you can be assured that other benefits will be eliminated as well. It is of paramount importance that state representatives receive veterans feedback on this.

This place will forever have a special spot in my heart. The employees saved my life every single day for 30 days. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. This is the only one I can truly say that they take this lifestyle seriously and the presence of a higher power flows through every body in the house. I wouldn't recommend any other place. Thank you for everything staff! I won't forget a single one of you.

I have been to this treatment centers at least 3 times and the e town facility twice. I’ve been to treatment as a controlled environment for this program over 40 times. But for 7 months through an implant in my ear I have had to listen to 2 or 3 people in my ear for 24/7 mostly about my ex boyfriend who the program hired to mess with me as well. Every treatment center and sober living I have been in for 7 years has participated all my so called friends, family, even bf were brought into it. I’m harassed about every trauma or horrible experience they could create or find out about. This was a good place but I hit 4 treatment centers in 4 weeks because they went too far stressing me with the voices in my ear canal as well as the clients and staff they recruited to play games while my thoughts broadcasted to the people around me. For the government to issue whatever for hips to be violated and them to enter a rehab for research grounds or court order is all that could do it. It’s been 17 years of nastiness especially the last 7 years but they hired my bf to leave me and play games with me so the voices in my ear could non stop torture me with him and how he took a job to leave me. The truth is they have had me isolated and single for 17 years and they had to get me lit and him away from me to be able to do this stressed out miserable research on me. So they brought him into the group payed to monitor me to get him away and make me feel miserable and isolated and they make sure I know it was about money from my boyfriend or ex I guess since I get a vague wish washy text ever 2 to 3 days to string me along so they can keep torturing me about him.how much money did it take. Crown was playing and Lackey and SouthShore RW in the past 6 weeks this program was even brought into the AA meetings I attended and my Clinicians were up to it too

The Crisis Stabilization Unit literally saved my life. I walked in broken and defeated and left feeling hopeful for the first time in years. I don't know where they found all the wonderful people who work there but I'm glad I met every single one of them.
If you're struggling with an addiction or find yourself in a mental health crisis and fear is keeping you from taking the big step through the doors of a facility like that, please know that you will be met with nothing but love, kindness, patience and genuine concern that you get better.
My higher power and reason to stay sober is that I wouldn't want any of their efforts to have been a waste and, even though they'd never know if I drank again, the thought of disappointing any of the people who helped me get sober is reason enough to never back-slide.

I was recently at Lydia's house phase 1. I balked at the thought of going to a faith-based rehabilitation facility as many struggling with addiction will. The staff and interns at all of the ARC (Addiction Recovery Care) facilities are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They really do care and it shows. If you are struggling with addiction and have been to other rehabs where God was only mentioned in step 3, then I urge you to give it a chance. God really lives in that house and through the people there. Patience, open-mindedness and acceptance are just two of their MANY loving traits. I was in Elizabeth's room across the hall from Mary's room and beside Hannah's room which is adjacent to Sarah's room. These are not the names of clients, rather the names given to each room in the house so given because they are women of the Bible who had miraculous births. if you are ready to birth a miraculous new life then give Lydia's house a call I promise you you will be glad you did God bless and have a wonderful day.

I had taken my daughter to numerous rehab centers and she always relapsed. After spending 30 days here she moved on to phase 2 at Beth’s blessings. I can’t say enough good things about this place so I’m just gonna say I’m so greatful for everything they have done for my daughter. My daughter is back to her old self and has found the lord and been saved. Addiction is hell and if you want to change your life and you have to want to, then I recommend this place.
