I left this facility as a patient 3 days ago and I wanted to leave a review from the inside. I was in for alcohol detox and I was there for 6 days and admitted myself.
It’s time to give praise where praise is due.
Staff by name:
Nate - RN this was one of the better nurses and he worked the night shift, there were several points when I was at an all-time low, especially at night. Nate took the time to sit down with me and make sure that I was OK every single time. He cares about his job and his patients and it clearly showed.
Zack - this gentleman worked in the CSU, he had an incredible personality and he is the gentleman that you would be working with at night if you were doing intake. Me and him had conversation for hours about working out, family, religion. as far as I understood it, he had achieved employee of the month of the month prior and there’s a very big reason. Zack was a massive part of being able to talk to me while my anxiety was so high. This gentleman deserves nothing but praise and probably a raise.
Nicole - she was a floor tech that also works nights, she’s a good worker and does what she needs to. She just seems to be very quiet and somewhat antisocial so she was not a good person to talk to however, you could see her work ethic and how she contributed to the facility.
Eric or Airwik - again, this is a floor tech. This gentleman deserves nothing but praise. He worked nights and days. He was very easy to talk too, me and him talked about his background for his native descent and we spoke about music. We had good conversation which is what is required for a lot of these patients.
Denise - Just awesome, thank you for being a support
Kody - this is a daytime floor tech, again sat down with me had excellent conversations and he ended up playing Uno with all of us patients several times over. He had an ability to connect with his patients and make him feel like a familiar friend. Kody deserves some of the highest praise as he gets somewhat intimate with his clients.
Andrea - registered nurse, this girl is a powerhouse of a woman. Her and I shared the same religious background and on the day of my release she did nothing but tell me the success that she saw for me. You can also tell that she goes to the gym; shared. She’s high energy and is very on the ball she had a way of sharing her positive energy which shared hope she was a significant part of my discharge her and I spoke for probably 30 minutes before I got discharged. She is intense a little bit loud, but absolutely a wonderful soul.
Julie - fantastic human being.
Austin - this gentleman is a part of CSU again the intake portion. Him and I spoke the first night for probably two hours when I was first admitted. Again, we spoke about religion general concepts, and Austin is an absolute nerd. He reads books every single day and he has card games and things like that. One thing that stuck out about Austin is that he is extremely intelligent and he would love to talk to you about almost anything. Me and him mostly spoke about God.
Bonnie - Bonnie was the cleaning lady over in the CSU unit. I believe she used to be a police officer. She’s a very intimidating woman, but she’s also extremely sweet if you’re just not a jerk. Around when I first got there in the CSU she showed me where the snacks and drinks were treated me like a human being.
Dave - this is another gentleman from the CSU, he’s usually quiet at first as he feels you out and what your temperament is but again after he knows that you’re not something that is a threat he’ll open up to you. Another gentleman that is highly intelligent.
Lastly
Robert - RN my first interaction with Robert was when I needed something from the nurses. When I tried to get his attention, he looked at me and shook his head and then look away from me, which was very dehumanizing. After that when he left the nurses cage, I tried to get his attention and he ignored me three times. This guy is terrible and as far as I understand it, most of the staff doesn’t even like him.

This place changed my life and quite possibly saved it as well. All the nurses were wonderful and in particular Kerry, Nate, Haven, Shavon, Heather, and Zac. The techs were amazing including Richard 1, Jay, Richard 2, Steph, Cody. I'm sure there are others I interacted with that were great as well that I'm forgetting. Both psych NPs were attentive and thorough and really cared! Both social workers Kenzie and Kat are some of the best people on this planet. They brought together the whole plan for me. Everyone on staff truly care about all of us patients and were extremely professional, efficient, and attentive. This place is a staple and much needed on the mountain, they serve our community in amazing ways. Thank you to everyone! Changepoint changed my life and will change yours too!

I finally got to see my husband today. After 2 days. I though his was at a different facility. My husband couldn't remember my phone number to call me so he asked one of the nurses to please check his phone number for my phone number and she did. She didn't have to everyone was so so nice when I first got there so excited to see him. I made him some food. An we ate snack's I brought. I just want to thank everyone to making me feel welcomed. Not one person was judgemental.... THANK U for the people that work in the evening. God bless you and your family's..

My wife just had hip replacement surgery, and spent 1.5 days at GRMC. The entire staff, starting with Dr. Robinson, was exceptional, but special shout-outs to Mari (Occupational Therapy), Lauren (Physical Therapy), and our recently-graduated Nurse. The charge nurse, the CNAs, the man who brought meals--all of them were great, and if I've left someone out I apologize, because everyone was terrific.

I want to share what a great healthcare experience I had this past June while experiencing a major medical emergency. I spent a total of 8 days in the hospital and in my opinio, I couldn't have received better care anywhere else. :) The caregivers are so skilled, compassionate, professional and caring. I experienced that in each department I came in contact with from ER, SCU, Doctors, Imaging, Dietary, Housekeeping and EMS. When it came to the realization I needed help to overcome my addiction, I ended up choosing to go to Sobermans. I couldn't have been more grateful for this choice and the experience. I can't say enough about the accommodations, setting, and food. However those things mean nothing without the proper staff. The best thing about Sobermans is their people. The care I received from each and every member of staff there was overwhelming. I've since returned for some aftercare and Alumni events, and upon my return, it feels like home. My son is 18 and struggling with a fentanyl addiction. To say the very least it’s been hard and traumatic. My son went to the crossroads detox facility. The 12 step program works miracles and the people that work within the facility have first-hand experience often times with their own addiction recovery. I truly believe Back 2 Basics saved my son’s life. But I also believe the key is that they have to want it—the desire for change has to come from within. Once our son said he was ready, we didn’t hesitate. Within 24 hours, we flew cross-country to Back 2 Basics, inspired by another young man we knew who had found great success through the program.
From the moment we arrived, the staff and counseling team were exceptional. Bethanie, in particular, was phenomenal. She didn’t just understand our son—she understood our entire family dynamic. Her approach is uniquely effective; she guides these young men in a way that empowers them to reach their own conclusions and make their own choices.
One of the most impactful aspects of the program was the weekend hiking and camping trips. These adventures helped redirect that adrenaline rush in a healthy, constructive way. It was more than just therapy—it was a reset.

Scottsdale Providence saved my life. As a lifelong drug addict I didn’t feel that there was much hope. I thought it was going to be awkward being a bit on the older side at 48, but neither preconceived notion was true. The staff at the residential house was warm and inviting. They reassessed and modified my medications which made me feel so much better. The staff immediately formed a treatment plan taking into account my goals. The group sessions are amazing and include everything from cutting edge therapy, traditional therapy, yoga, meditation, and daily check ins. The ono on one sessions are with highly skilled and compassionate therapists who use a variety of techniques. Once leaving residential and stepping down to PHP at the treatment center the amazing care continues. The group sessions are intense and very engaging. The one on one sessions continue to be facilitated by highly skilled therapists. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves. They treat everyone equally no matter what race, sect, political views, pronouns, religion, rich, poor, old, and young. I suffered a horrific family tragedy that occurred while I was still in treatment. The SPRC staff swooped in and offered me all the help and extra therapy I needed. They modified my treatment plan to account for this change. They even helped me get my affairs in order. And now that I’m a few days from completion, they have made sure everything I need to be successful is in place. From amazing facilities to having the very best staff, this place is second to none. It isn’t just a country club, they push you to work towards your goals and keep close eye on your progress. If you want to sit in a pool and have your hand held for 90 days, this is not the place. If you are serious about getting well and ready to put on the work, SPRC is the only choice in Phoenix.

I am incredibly grateful for SPRC. The staff truly care about their job and every single person who comes through here. I’ve never felt like just a case number. They are intelligent and good at what they do. I’ve learned a lot in every group and my one on one sessions with all of my therapists. They have also helped to set me up for success after treatment. Despite my obstinate reluctance to participate in this type of therapy, the staff has been extremely confident and flexible in finding a way to help me. I am still surprised and very grateful for their commitment and sincerity. They really have helped in a direct and tangible fashion in a very short time. I never would have guessed that I would end up with such gratitude and respect for the people and process I have been gifted with. I offer my best wishes for all those who sacrifice so much to help and serve to foster recovery and wellness for others. Somehow, even I seem to be worth the effort from such generous folk. My inability to fathom anything that could justify the time spent with me by such wonderous people does not diminish my gratitude for the effects of the education, caring and results achieved.

I was a client at Fountain Hills Recovery at the beginning 2025, and I felt compelled to leave a review about my time there. During my stay, I received treatment for Alcohol and actively participated in all components of the residential treatment program, including group therapy, individual therapy, and psychiatric therapy. The staff was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of taking back control of your life, and their care and kindness was well above what I expected to receive. The home I stayed in was always well stocked with food of your choosing, and the meals that were provided were well balanced and hit high marks from the chef that prepared them daily for us. Besides the great accommodations in place, the treatment I received was highly beneficial and had led me to know reach a 6 month milestone of living a sober and clean life. I am thankful for my decision to choose Fountain Hills and would recommend it to anyone who is serious about making decisions that will shape their future for the better.
