My son is 18 and struggling with a fentanyl addiction. To say the very least it’s been hard and traumatic. My son went to the crossroads detox facility. The 12 step program works miracles and the people that work within the facility have first-hand experience often times with their own addiction recovery. Rose and Bridgette were incredibly impressionable on my son and worked very hard to influence him positively. If I could afford to open a dozen more of these places I would. God bless these people and those struggling with addiction.

Glendale CMS: A+++
By far the BEST CMS location! I've been at CMS Glendale for over 7 years and I I didn't think it could get any better. But... It DID! With the few changes made over the last several months, my satisfaction level for every department has skyrocketed!
Jaden, at the front, is not just super knowledgeable, he's got an incredible rapport with everyone.
A+ for him!
My counselor, Francis, is ALWAYS understanding, supportive and just a delightful person. I feel like she's one of those unique people who actually hears you when you talk. I'm beyond grateful for her time and her ability to go help me no matter what I'm dealing with.
A+ for her!
The nurses have never treated me with anything other than kindness and dignity. It's very refreshing to not be labeled for my disease but rather cared for and understood.
A+ the them!
Overall, I'm VERY happy with the level of care and respect I receive each and every time I go into the clinic.
Thank you for setting the bar so high.
With gratitude,

When I learned that I would be completing 30 hours of DUI online training it seemed daunting and I had no idea what to expect. The experience, as it turns out, was extremely positive for me. The education and the stories taught me so much, and I come away with a deep regard and empathy for those who have experienced the consequences of driving while impaired and empathy for those who struggle with addiction- the addicts and their loved ones. I don’t consider myself to be an alchoholic but I made a very reckless choice to drive after drinking. My son, who struggled with mental illness and addiction for many years, had taken just taken his life and this DUI came about when I was in the depths of despair. I learned so much about HIS addiction, but also about the choices we make that have irreperable damage. As crazy as this sounds, I am grateful for the experience because I believe it has made me a better person. THANK YOU.

This place saved my life. Literally.
In around December of 2024 I was hospitalized here for severe suicidal tendencies. I’m not going to get too into it, but I’ve had mental health problems my entire life and a few things happened that year that pushed it pass the point that I could handle.
I was here for 45 days, where I was on a 1 on 1 most of that time for impulsive self harming behaviors. I received ECT treatment during this time and it’s like it just completely reset my whole system. I lost a majority of my memories and had to relearn a bunch of things which was unfortunate, but I felt like an entirely new person. I can hold a job, I feel confident in myself, I can build new relationships, I’m going to college because I’ve finally found a passion in life that I want to pursue, and I don’t have suicidal tendencies anymore—not like I did before.
Not only did the ECT help tremendously, but being in PHP and IOP afterwards helped me find structure after the reset, and it helped me gain coping skills that I didn’t have before. I was able to understand what I was feeling and now when I do have SI, it’s like a flashing thought because I can use the coping skills I learned to realize that it’s not an option.
I had been on so many different meds, done so many different treatments, seen so many different doctors trying to get better, and I had truly lost hope. I’m so glad I went to Aurora and thank you to all of the staff who helped me through my tough times.

Financial counselors are available to discuss payment plans, | Treatments Programs Payment Options | No parent can anticipate the experience of finding out that a loved one has an addiction, needs intervention and immediate help and hearing about this in your late 70s, never having prior family experience.
For me it was an 18-day full-time commitment in education, research and self-evaluation. After making dozens of phone calls and visiting well-respected rehab centers in New York New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Arizona it boiled down to two paths.
The first path was to research and visit the traditional large rehab centers that had plenty of staff and four-star reviews with a 30 day program and would handle up to 30 residents at the time. They would offer but not promote, encourage or have a program where the patient could make a commitment after 30 days to have a sober plan to follow. This was 30 days and done. In addition, the larger facilities spent 5 to 10 days in rehab and the balance of the 30 days was what little could be resolved through therapy. I was shocked to find out the high rate of relapses.
The second option was to find smaller centers with 15 residents or less that would reinforce, promote continuing support in a sober community after their initial 30 days. I found two locations; New Jersey and one was in Arizona. Both were owned and operated by previous addicts who not only had a vested interest in keeping themselves sober but were directly involved with a small staff in a more hands-on. I wouldn’t say that it was a boot camp it was certainly not the Malibu Ritz-Carlton experience.
Mark North at guiding road offers a comprehensive option balancing a small setting, small staff committed to finding out the how’s and whys of keeping each client sober. His goal is to keep them involved longer than the traditional 30 days cycle. For every month past the 30 day cycle relapse gets lower and lower. In the guiding road program being involved at the center worked out for my family member. Mark and his staff at guiding road provided sober living options continuing therapy support, and connecting the proper sponsor that is the right fit.
I would highly recommend anyone reading this to contact guiding road and Mark North to find out for yourself.
