There are some things that I’d like to state. The very first therapist I had, an Asian woman, was awful. I do not think she is currently with the company, I don’t know if that had anything to do with her awfulness. She was very callous, judgmental, and constantly made me feel like a P.O.S and like my appointments were a burden to her. I didn’t feel like any of my therapy sessions helped because she was, for lack of better word, a see you next Tuesday who clearly didn’t like anyone that had a run in with substances in their past (despite me being clean since May 21 on opioids, and only smoking a little weed here and there and minor alcohol). However, my therapist now, Kaitlyn, has made up for that. I’m able to be open and honest with her about everything. I had a recent DV incident with my ex that completely changed my life and flipped everything upside down. With Kaitlyn, I’ve been able to stay sober from marijuana and alcohol, and feel satisfied doing so. Not that your therapists are supposed to feel like your “friends” but now that Kaitlyn will be going to a different facility to help even more people, I do not know if my next therapist will be as good as Kaitlyn. My therapy sessions with Kaitlyn have me believing in the mental health institution and in therapy itself. Before, I only came because I had to. Now, I WANT to come because it’s healing me. This Talbert House will be losing an amazing employee and I only hope the next practitioners are even half the therapist of her. After some thought I wanted to add something else. When my ex strangled me and went to jail, this Talbert House absolutely saved me and my sons lives. I was homeless and living in my car and a shelter, and went into preterm labor at 30 weeks pregnant from the assault. Kaitlyn, Amanda, and the others at the team here at Talbert House found me somewhere to live, had it furnished, and had so many donations for me and my son in less than a week. Without them, I don’t know if me and my child would still be together or if I’d even be alive. When you read these reviews please consider that maybe they aren’t giving therapy or this location a fair chance. Turnovers happen everywhere, therapists get new and better jobs. They find new opportunities, they grow and change within their lives. However it doesn’t mean that this Talbert isn’t doing their best. But The Ridge staff and their support program made it a very compassionate, Informative, and a truly helpful process. The accommodations were excellent. I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. William Sears 2 weeks ago Brightview has been my recovery home for six years now, and out of all the places I have received treatment, its by far the best. I started going there because someone told me they dont care about THC. This is true, they're chill about it. But I stayed because a) it actually felt like a doctor's office, instead of an apartment or house that had been rented to use as a treatment facility, and b) i felt and still feel like im actually cared for; they aren't just after my insurance claim. Last year I would have rated five stars. However, a change made last year has really stuck in my craw and upset me, and despite the feedback they've received from me and countless others, it's yet to be rolled back. Used to be, if you needed to speak to someone to find out what time your appt is, or get a message to your care team, you could call 24/7. NOW, only new patients can call and receive assistance after business hours. They contract their calls out to people who work from home, and they no longer have access to existing patient records after business hours. Maybe it's the industry standard, I wouldn't know. But it was and is still very disheartening, for people who work odd hours or sleep a lot due to depression 🙋‍♀️and cant always call during business hours. That's the ONLY reason I'm not giving 5*. I'm a patient at the Centerville office, and my girls there are truly like family to me. I've had several different doctors but its nothing like other facilities, with their revolving door of staff coming in and barely getting settled before theyre gone again. I got placed with a counselor who's been with brightview over 10 years, because i was tired of telling my life story over and over. I realized I had gotten everything I could out of a group setting, and they put me in a ghost group so I don't have to attend one anymore. Susan, my provider, is literally like the mom I always dreamed of having. She's so good at her job and she makes sure you know how much she cares for you. One last thing, since i know who is most likely reading these reviews. if youre on suboxone and tired of being ruled by a daily dose, consider the sublocade shot. They got me on it hwre. I was terrified because the withdrawal has always been so bad. With sublocade there was ZERO withdrawal as I made the switch, and ZERO withdrawal when tapering off. This is one of those moments. My sister completes treatment tomorrow, and I cannot let this milestone pass without expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire team who cared for her. After more than 30 years of substance use and countless experiences with treatment, this is the first time my sister has successfully completed a treatment program. That alone makes tomorrow incredibly meaningful for our family. But what means even more to me is knowing that she was not simply treated for her substance use disorder she was cared for as a whole person. She entered treatment with serious and critical health concerns that required attention, advocacy, and compassionate care. Those concerns were recognized and addressed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure her health and safety were not overlooked, and that her needs were treated with the dignity and seriousness they deserved. As someone who works professionally in the SUD field, I know how much goes into helping someone reach this point. I understand the importance of consistency, compassion, boundaries, clinical skill, medical attention, and perhaps most importantly having people who continue to see the person underneath the addiction. But as her sister, I experienced something even more personal... relief and hope. For the first time in a very long time, my family could breathe a little easier knowing she was somewhere safe, seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Recovery is not easy. Thirty years of addiction does not disappear in a month. Completing treatment does not mean the journey is over. But completing treatment after decades of struggle is a tremendous accomplishment, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. The encouragement and coordinated care for her discharge planning was imperative. This was executed with precision as well. To every person who played a part in her care, thank you. Thank you for showing up for her. Thank you for taking her health concerns seriously. Thank you for seeing beyond her history and recognizing the person she still was underneath all of it. In that time, I have received many of the services that Lindner has to offer, from rapid access, to inpatient, to residential, to PHP, to outpatient therapy and psychiatry. I wanted to leave a review in case anyone is in a place where they really need help, to highly recommend the Lindner Center. It has been completely transformational for me and a large part of the reason I have been able to recover from and now maintain my mental health since my diagnosis. The providers I have seen genuinely care about me and are extremely knowledgeable. The organization as a whole also truly cares about the health and wellbeing of its patients and community, frequently putting on free events to educate people on mental health. They’ve even had a patient advisory committee to seek patient input on their decisions. I have always been helped quickly, whether that’s with admission or getting on someone’s schedule rapidly to get the care I need in the moment I need it. I have even received financial assistance that one of the providers helped secure for me. Providers at LCOH throughly assessed and confirmed a confusing and difficult diagnosis for me, and worked with me over the years to find the right medication regimen for where I was at during each phase since my initial episode(s). The individual counseling and group DBT/other group work I participated in allowed me to work through a lot of damage and acquire skills to rebuild my life. Has every employee I’ve interacted with or every day/single activity of a service I ever received been 100% perfect? Of course not, but mental health is extremely difficult to treat, and the staff certainly deals with a lot each day. The VAST majority of my experiences have been OVERWHELMINGLY positive and I would expect-as with anything else in life-to have some moments where I am a little disappointed. I have no doubt that every provider I’ve worked with has had my best interest in mind, and I trust the care plans laid out for me. My therapist has truly been a life saver for me and I plan to keep my medication management and counseling with the Lindner Center indefinitely. Please try this place out if you are struggling! IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. I hope you can enjoy the care and staff there. Everyone there is a happy, pleasant person. I LOVE EASTWAY!!! The ONLY way I'll go somewhere else is IF they close their doors. My mother told me about Eastway and when I started the "Journey" there I had a sense of good things to come my way. The rollercoaster of emotions that I was going through finally ended when I became a client at Eastway. At first I didn't like it there because of TWO case managers they Always had a funky attitude towards me and dismissed the fact that I'm there for Mental Health. I'm getting treatment for my Bipolar Disorder. Looking back I'm Glad that I got help from them. IF I didn't make the first appointment to go there, I HIGHLY DOUBT I would be alive right now making this post. Eastway is the one facility that I recommend EVERYONE to go to for Mental Health.
