Top 10 Rehab In Ball Ground
| Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment center based in Ball Ground, Georgia. They offer medically supervised detox and inpatient treatment services to adults. They have a program specifically designed to treat active military members, veterans and first responders. They take a whole person approach to treatme | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I recently completed the 39 days at Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center and left with lasting tools to manage both my addiction, anxiety and depression. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, with sunny common areas for group therapy and a pond for quiet reflection. From day one, Brittney, one of my favorite nurses, monitored my detox symptoms with compassion making the medical side of recovery feel safe and supported.
But the heart of my transformation came from Dustin, my individual and small group counselor. Dustin didn’t just guide me—he saved my life. His presence, patience, empathy, authenticity and insight helped me find my voice after years of silence. In our sessions, I learned how to speak up for myself, name my pain, and begin to heal. I’ll never forget the breakthrough moments I had in his sessions. I could go on and on. Immense gratitude that he entered my life when he did.
The peer counselors were equally impactful; Cam was such an empathetic, kind, compassionate, genuine, positive soul. She still checks on me to this day. Forever Grateful to her. From Beth, Bill, Zac, Conrad, and a few more—I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your kindness and realness. Thank you.
By the end of the program, I noticed a dramatic shift in my ability to regulate anxiety without using substances. My relationships have healed, and I’ve maintained sobriety for almost 6 months so far. I wholeheartedly recommend BRMRC to anyone seeking recovery—especially if you’re ready to find your voice and save your life. It saved mine.

Day 151, and I’ve regained control of my life in ways I never thought possible..thanks to the incredible techs, nurses, counselors, and everyone at Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center. When I walked in on Day 0, I was exhausted, broken, and hopeless. Today, while I’m still healing, I’m living clean and finally learning to enjoy life again.
Blue Ridge didn’t just treat my addiction, they helped me and my family truly understand the underlying issues that led me here. They taught me how to cope, how to see myself differently, and how to begin rebuilding from the inside out. This wasn’t my first time in treatment, but it was the first time I realized that “rock bottom” has a basement, and I was beyond tired of living that way.
Here, I learned how to love myself again and found a community of people who continue to lift each other up to this day. I owe my health, my peace, and my life to Blue Ridge. If you’re tired of being sick and tired, tired of lying to yourself, and ready for a change, give yourself and Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center a chance. It saved my life. With love. -miguel

Honest rating of overall facility.
This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped.
Honest rating on each therapist.
Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting.
David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes.
Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories!
Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients.
Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist.
Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice.
Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist.
Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks.
Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them!
Overall, I think the staff is awesome!
Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case.
Goodbye, Team Embark, I'll miss you guys!

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

Thi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is a clean clinic and has many great qualities that can very much help your road to sobriety! However, the main issue here is the CONSTANT councilor change! As soon as one gets comfortable with their counselor, they leave. It is such piece of mind to build a relationship with your councilor and the nurses, just so you can have that report and someone that knows you and can be in your corner if ever needed. There are alot of patients that are not there for the right reasons, then there are also alot of patients that ARE there for the right reasons. The constant change certainly does not give one peace of mind. Familiar faces change places. I can not help but think its the higher ups not doing what is necessary to keep them happy in their workplace. Its sad really! I had been to AA in the past and for various reasons felt like it was not a good fit for me. I searched for a different approach to assist with my recovery. Thank God I found Centered. Reed, Krista and Robert are a great team. Their focus is not on telling your story or even what brought you to their program. They each approach mindfulness and self awareness in completely different ways but are always on the same page and compliment each other’s approach to recovery. I have learned so much about myself and how to approach difficult times whether it be mental or physical. I am a year sober now and alcohol and drugs never cross my mind. The life lessons I have learned will be with me for the rest of my life. Obviously I highly recommend Centered for any type of a substance use disorder. I even wished my daughter could sit in on the sessions even though she has no substance abuse issues so she could benefit from the valuable lessons they teach. I am so much happier and at peace with myself more than I have ever been. My past rocky relationship with my daughter has been completely transformed. I joined this program in 2020 and found Centered after attending a disappointing 12-step program that was shame based and hurtful.
Upon arrival, I felt relieved to be involved in a recovery program that was/is thought based and intellectual. Learning and understanding the root of human normalcy and my way of thinking was so enlightening and empowering.
I can go on and on-having the ability to truly think through my thoughts and feelings impacted/impacts how I process why I am making the decisions I make throughout my daily life.
My want or need to harm myself or find refuge with a substance makes sense now and I use my analytical thought process more so now than ever in my life.
It has now been over 2.5 years later and I’m not in recovery.
I am not recovering.
I am recovered.
This is a cognizant decision I made and that decision is stable and has provided stability in my life.
No substance is worth risking what my life now is-therefore, it never crosses my mind to mess with any substance. Mine was alcohol. The key term here being “was”. No liquor store, beer aisle, restaurant or drinking friend or occasion worries me at all.
I thank Centered for assisting me in making good decisions now and never looking back.
I still love checking in and I’ve been honest with my team and therapist at Centered along the way and never felt shame or embarrassment and I know I never will.
What a wonderful team and powerful program.
They get a 5 star for when I was in the program and for the owners who regularly check in on me even after 2.5 years.
Thank you Krista and Reed

I had the privilege of working at Centered Recovery Programs in Roswell, GA, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience there. From the very beginning, I was struck by the authenticity and heart behind the program. Their mindfulness-based approach to recovery is unlike anything I’ve seen—compassionate, effective, science based, and focused on getting to the root of challenges so that real and lasting change is possible.
Working with the owners, Reed and Krista, was an absolute pleasure. They lead with integrity and a true passion for their work, the people they serve, and their employees. Krista is incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind human behavior and has a gift for educating clients in a way that’s fun, easy to connect with, and apply. I learned so much from her and from the program overall. Reed has an extraordinary ability to connect with everyone he meets, making them feel welcome, cared for and seen—whether it’s a casual conversation that makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend, or a deeper exchange that helps people of all ages and backgrounds navigate life’s struggles.
The staff was equally wonderful—supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. And the clients inspired me daily with their vulnerability, courage, and openness. Their testimonies often went beyond addiction, touching on the struggles we all face as human beings. Watching them overcome hardships, form bonds, and grow into healthier, more fulfilled versions of themselves was both powerful and humbling.
It was truly comforting to work in an environment where people care deeply—not only for clients, but for one another’s well-being—and where everything is done with others’ best interests at heart. Being part of Centered Recovery is an experience I feel so grateful to have had, and it will continue to impact me for the rest of my life.
Centered Recovery Programs is more than just a treatment center—it’s a community built on compassion, mindfulness, and transformation. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking real, meaningful recovery.

My daughter has struggled with mental health issues for many years. It lead to hanging around the wrong crowd which lead to substance use and took us to have to admit her into in patient in Connecticut. They recommended The Insight Program for her substance use. It was extremely unorthodox at first, went against everything I thought this process should look like,(obviously what we were doing wasn’t working) but we trusted her team in Connecticut so we went against our own feelings. It has turned out to be exactly everything she needed and wanted. Friendship, no longer isolated or misunderstood. Instead of IOP program that tries to separate kids who grow such a unique bond and keep them away from each other, Insight and their counselors know that what will have a higher chance of success is giving them a community and peer accountability. It’s a commitment, but worth every sacrifice you already make as a parent. The best things for us has been the parent meetings. I’m learning that my daughter’s recovery is hers. But it is mine also. Mine in the sense that I can worry about me. I can make sure that no matter what her journey looks like, that I am ok. No matter what. I have my own community and friendships that will be lifetime. Unless you are going through this you don’t understand. Give it a try. Not only for your kid, but for yourself. I’m a part of a club I never asked to be a part of, but beyond grateful because of my community I now have. Show up. Let the counselors do their thing. It works. I told my daughter, “Insight isn’t for everyone“ My daughter said it best “ actually Insight is for everyone, it just depends if they want to do the work to make it work for them..” powerful. Thanks Nick, Amelia, Matt, Beth. Eternally grateful..

The Insight Program was so helpful with my son‘s road of recovery. They have a wonderful parent support group that helps you navigate helping your child and helping yourself. Hi. I just want to say this is a great facility for detoxing and peer support. But, when I came here I was not able to receive the medication I needed when I found the one that worked. I told my doctor that the adavan the nurses were giving me worked and that I was calm and aware of my surroundings. He said to take lithium and I said No because I have been on so many drugs in the past and they did not work, that because I knew the adavan worked to give me that. I started arguing with him and then I left without any medication except for the one pill that actually worked the first night I got there. So now it's been 5 months and I still have the same underlying problems; paranoia, anxiety, negative energy, hate, anger, and pessimism. I just want the nurses and health aides to know they are very good people and do a good job and the psychiatrist is a big fat nimrod with a paper shredder degree. Thank you.

You know the saying, “you get what you pay for”? Well, with Dr. Sambanaris, you get more than that—you get a psychiatrist who actually talks to you instead of speed-running you through an appointment like he’s late for a flight.
This doctor takes the time to really get to know you—like, by the end of your first session, you’re halfway wondering if you should invite him to Thanksgiving. He listens, he asks thoughtful questions and illustrates his points on a dry erase board in easy-to-understand terms.
And the office? It’s refreshingly human. The phone actually gets answered by a real person. The whole place has a friendly, family-like vibe that makes you feel more like you’re visiting an old friend than walking into a medical office.
If you’re tired of revolving-door psychiatry and want someone who takes the time to actually understand you, Dr. Sambanaris is your guy. 10/10 would recommend—unless you’re in a hurry. Because he’s not, and that’s the best part.

Dear Anonymous Thank God for ROI. They helped my son in ways you will never understand. God bless this family because it is a family and there are always rules that need to be folllowed. My husband and I have gone to the family workshops they offer and for the first time it clicked for my husband what addiction is and it is not something you pull yourself up by the bootstraps and that it is something to just get over.
Since you used Anonymous I think you are hiding behind lies because if these things were tru you would not have hesitated giving your real name. I hope you find a place that gives you what you want like a spa rehab and you really get sober.

Just wanted to share my appreciation with the staff, ER nurses, doctors and to all the nurses, and cleaning team who were with me at Northside Hospital on 9/25-9/26 room 7238. The world needs people like you all in health care! 💪🏽🩺💉🏥♥️
Ronda in the ER who did all my blood work and medicine on 9/25 was amazing. I called up the ER after I left just to get her name. You made me feel so taken care of and were great to my husband.
My first night once I was admitted into a room 7238 9/25, I believe her name was Caitlyn she were awesome. So patient, and gentle, seemed like she really cared even though in comparison, I’m sure my reason for being there was far less extreme than others. Lindsey, Destiney, Grace, Donna, Haley and two others I can’t remember their names but one had curly brunette hair and arm tattoos, and her partner was blonde and in training. Everyone was just nice to be around, joked and talked with me, came every time I buzzed or needed anything. The cleaning team was so sweet checking on me and professional. Both doctors I worked with were amazing.
A big thank you to Dr Pinette (who I told look like Kid Cudi which makes him ever more awesome) that completed my surgery. You took the time to draw and explain exactly what, why, and how you were doing the things you were in surgery. Answered all of mind and my husbands questions. You and your whole team on 9/26 were welcoming, nice and professional.
This was my first experience in my adult life ever having to stay at a hospital, which I am thankful for. But being with people that care about the quality of their work and their patients goes a long was and is incredibly appreciated. Thank you again to the Northside Cherokee team for being so awesome at what you do.

Anyone who needs any help with addiction these are the people you want on your side. Very welcoming environment & they really care when you feel like no one else in your circle or life does. You'll always have people to talk to who are there to help. If you need help give them a call . Methadone clinics get a bad wrap mainly from uneducated ignorant people who don't take the time to find out what it's all about and just listen to the gossip or false info that exists. Give them a call . What do you have to loose? You'll be happy you did.

I have been a patient here for 2 maybe 3 years. I have never been over charged , I have never been treated like a piece of scum bc I am in recovery ( and to those that don’t believe methadone recovery then those don’t have the luxury of having someone watch their kids so they can go to a treatment center- lucky you ) The office manager Anna is very professional yet sweet. She treats you like a human. She actually cares and inquires how your family is. I went to Woodstock and had the worst experience there. They treat you like crap and their clients sell drugs in the parking lot. That place is a joke . If you need help with recovery , please come heee . A bonus : no wait time !!!

I cannot express how grateful I am for the support and care I received from Mikayla Minehart. When I started therapy, I was really struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression. I chose this location at random back in Aug ‘23 because I had been dealing with what felt like “higher-than-normal” levels of anxiety for a couple of years. I noticed increased irritability, and overthinking many daily tasks and common life events that I never worried about in the past. I had never really been an anxious person. After taking care of and watching my mother pass from early-onset Alzheimers, I knew it would be in my best interest to talk to a specialist. Little did I know that my life would change after speaking with someone for just a few months. Troy taught me how to process my grief in a systematic way that made sense to me. Today was my last session with him, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. I will forever be an advocate of therapy because of this experience. Thank you Troy!
