While being at RCA I met people who genuinely cared about me getting well. I was a little skeptical at first that what I was experiencing was real, but throughout my stay I found that these people genuinely cared. With their help I learned that the only way that I was going to stay well is by connecting with others who are serious about recovery and by participating in my own recovery. I am sober today because RCA was there for me then and is there for me now via Alumni meetings and events. I want to thank all the staff for their professionalism, genuine care and for just being there when I needed help.

This facility is just amazing! Truly felt like everyone cared about me, and I can honestly say I trusted everyone in there. Trust is very hard for me, but the adult program and the staff allowed me to be myself with no judgement. I'm trying so hard to follow the rules and not name any staff but will give a broad review. Right when you walk in the staff is friendly, always smiling which in turn made me smile. The supervisor is amazing; the head of the counselors who leads the group therapy is one of the best people I ever met. The staff that lead the groups cared about me, and it was genuine, and they are so smart and fun. From the psychiatrist to my therapist everyone was on the same page. I just want to say thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart!

I had a wonderful experience with my program! Everyone was amazing and i truly wouldn’t be in such a good place in my life without the help from this facility! Life feels beautiful again and i couldn’t be more thankful! Brad is a wonderful human and you can really feel how much everyone there cares. I had to attend because of my job for substance abuse treatment and it was great, I actually enjoyed listening to ways of coping with stress and addiction, my counselor was Faith and she was really great and understanding. I would definitely recommend lighthouse to anyone struggling with any addiction or mental health problems

Excellent, caring nursing staff. The most compassionate person I encountered was as member of the housekeeping staff. She gave me sage advice and was actually there when I was very low. Good food. I had a great roommate. Nice social blend. Decent psychiatrist but he was quick to recommend the shock therapy treatments. I mean, we'd talked for 15 minutes and he'd recommended it. That was not for me. I recommend this facility to anyone needing assistance on mental health or addiction issues.

NIRC has helped me in countless ways and I owe a lot to them for helping me get where I am today. The staff is amazing, they will do anything in their power to support you in recovery and go out of their way to help in anyway they can; they truly want to see you succeed and helped me be sober for 4 years. Groups are helpful in that you are able to be vulnerable and get so much information to help get you through any situation - the therapists are there to help walk you through at any stage of your recovery. Clients are more than supportive and understand what we are all going through; they want to help not only themselves but everyone around them. NIRC is like a little family and with all the help we get, we can all make it through the challenging times.

I am not sure i can properly put into words how important my time at footprints was. I do believe they helped me save my life. The entire staff is full of love, care and kindness. They were professional and diligent in my treatment. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone facing struggles with mental health and addiction. This place saved my loved ones life. Seriously. He was Deep in addiction when he got here and I was fearful because of the reviews and because his addiction was just so bad I didn’t know if anything was going to help. Before footprints, I was planning to bury my loved one. He is now healthy, clean and sober and has a career. I can never thanks footprints to recovery enough. All the staff was very kind to me when I went to visit and drop stuff off for him. The only reason we’re missing a star is because my loved one had some issues with a staff member named Quan(?) who was being weird to patients. Other than that, amazing experience for my loved one. Thank you guys for saving his life and brightening up mine.

Suncloud has been a life saver. The staff was and is always welcoming and caring. One of the things that has been the most helpful for me has been the aftercare, follow ups and continued connection I get with them. It has become part of my family now and its a lifestyle. One of the things I lost in my life was a sense of being part of my community and having that desire to isolate from people. I dont feel that way anymore because of Suncloud. Now I have friends and people I really trust. Which is huge to me with my trust issues. Suncloud taught me that I cannot do this alone and showed me that I wasnt alone. This is a lifelong journey and my life is better now because I chose to do something about it, and Suncloud gave me the tools I needed. Extremely helpful couple working the mid-counter were able Guide me to the secondary eye clinic, Brenda was super friendly getting me checked into the acute Eye clinic. Additionally while I waited the workers at the coffee lounge we're exceedingly helpful and very cheerful. There was a new female who was very cheerful and was thanking the veterans for there service. In ( the main eye clinc) Dr.Dessler was very thorough ask and educating me on the 4 treatments. Both eye clinics were very transparent. And that is something to be stated. I highly recommend the eye clinics here. 11Nov2025 Downgraded to 1 star Review After " Alexis " (Women Clinic) left a voicemail attempting to get me into an appointment. Alexis left me on hold for 10 minutes. Then lied about an open December appointment. Utilizing words like we only have one doctor that can see people "like you". She then stated that they only have openings for late February. I have never asked for services as a female or Transgender. I'm a guy, period. There is no reason for gender stereotyping because I choose to dress or look a certain way. As such the TSP CPT Dr.Jefferies chose to act with violence during one of our sessions. This is very vindictive behavior. Other than the outstanding lab department & Dr.Riz I do not recommend this location for now. ---------------------- 3Jul2025 (5 Five Review) A great man walked these halls. DR.B will be remembered and mark a standard of care that is yet to be seen at this location. No ceremony for a person who did the right thing always. What a joke how you treat a Doctor who served Veterans for 10 + years. Go to the back where the staff & doctors are sleeping sprawled out on all benches ( like hobos) specifically built gazebos for veterans. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking a space designed for veterans especially ones that are homeless. ----------------------------- Old Review LGBTQ + Communities are out of this world. Had oral surgery at Hines yesterday. While it still hurts some my experience was positive. Dr. Shahbazian is just fantastic. The procedure was painless and went a lot faster then I thought it would. The people working in the Dental clinic really care and treated me wonderfully. Unfortunately, after the procedure I had gauze in my mouth so I couldn't thank them as much as I wanted to.

BEST EXPERIENCE!!! This center was perfect for me because I am not a very social person and the small group sessions were perfect. Also, the small group allowed for me to learn more and get the most from the program. The instructors are very well versed and knowledgeable about addiction. I looked forward to going every day. Our group became very close knit and we do activities together outside of class. If you do not want to be just a seat filler and actually get something out of your recovery journey, this is the place.

When I first came to Care Addiction Center, I’ll be honest, I arrived pretty much kicking, screaming and non compliant. I was in a very dark place, but what I found was an organization filled with people who truly care from my counslers Alice and Tori, to my fellow Group members . From the moment I walked in, everyone was accepting, kind, and understanding. Even when circumstances were working against me, like my insurance trying to force me to go elsewhere despite the clear progress I was making, the staff never gave up on me. Matt, who is genuinely dedicated to helping people heal, reassured me not to worry and even offered me a scholarship to continue. His only concern was that I continued to get better. The compassion and support I experienced at Care made all the difference, and I am deeply grateful. The care addiction center is a Life changing, Life saving orginization.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard. Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

Being at Banyan has been an absolutely transformative experience to say the least. My recovery journey from where I started before Banyan to where I am now after Banyan has been a complete 360, and I owe it to the staff and the knowledge that Banyan provided me. Amanda, Payton, Maggie, Alexis, and Mike are the best recovery counselors I've ever worked with before, and its been a privilege to work with and learn from such state of the art individuals. I'm actually heartbroken to be leaving this program, because their help has been so impactful. I look forward to going to Banyan Alumi meetings in the future, and I want to say a big thank you to all those who helped me along my journey to recovery.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive. Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities. I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery. I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with. The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for. I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself. PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3

The staff was wonderful! If I had to be hospitalized, this was the best experience possible. Professional, empathetic, personal, and caring nurses and techs who care about the patient and keeping the patient informed and involved in his or her own care, other than the hospitalist, who was completely out of touch with my care team, and couldn’t be bothered to to find out what my care plan was before he came in to see me. I still would choose Alexian Brothers because the care is wonderful, and just ask for a different hospitalist.

My dad was brought here for continued care, and I can confidently say this is the best LTACH we’ve experienced. Most of the employees here are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff overall are truly GREAT! Starting with the 3rd floor Nursing Manager, Joshua — an exceptional leader. He is understanding, a great listener, and was consistently supportive. He made a difficult time so much more bearable for our entire family. We are truly grateful for his presence and professionalism. A big thanks also goes to the night-shift Nurse Supervisor, Chris, who was equally outstanding and always on top of things. The nursing team deserves major recognition as well. Sylvia is top tier, and Andrea, Brigitte, Fidaa, Bosky, Jennifer, Dorian, Ritchie, Rincy, and Agaa were all excellent and deeply caring throughout. Respiratory Tech Joby stood out for his professionalism and kindness, along with team members like Vikram, Mercy, Billy, Benzie, and Anna. Unfortunately, I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 due to one very poor experience with a tech named Sheena, which did affect our overall impression of the respiratory department. I also want to commend the wonderful security team at the main entrance — Fedle, Bob, and Jerry were always warm and helpful. Special shoutout to Jasimine for her positive attitude. There are many more staff members whose names I can’t recall, but they all contributed to a truly positive experience. If you’re considering this facility for a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend it. You can bring your family member here with peace of mind knowing they’ll be well cared for.

The counselors were great, every one of them. My PC, Suzanne Hoffman, was outstanding. I am proud to say I’m almost celebrating eight months sober and clean free of shame, guilt etc..got my life back.

I’m a resident of Oxford sober living in Darien for the women’s house. Ten minutes away from Abraxas. I went to Abraxas and loved the staff. I had been to 35 rehabs in total and couldn’t grasp the concept of sobriety. But something clicked for me in there. Now I’m two years sober and giving back to my community.
