My experience with CMHC varies. Thankfully, most of it was positive. I been going here since 2020 or earlier. My therapist, at the time, was very helpful but eventually quit. This led to me meeting my new therapist. Very kind, sweet, and goes up and beyond for my mental health. However, that cannot be said about my previous psychiatrist. She kept on booking up her appointments to the point she could barely see me or anyone, leaving voicemails doesn't do anything, and I even went to the hospital after I told her I needed different medicine and she "couldn't be seen" despite it being an emergency. Don't get me wrong, my psychiatrist was intelligent, but incredibly and sadly unavailable. I believe she has quit working there or has very limited patients now. When trying to find ANOTHER psychiatrist from CMHC, they were all booked up constantly. So I just found an online psychiatrist and went from there. TLDR: I'm glad I got the help I needed and still do, but I understand everyone's bad experiences here too. It does not surprise me. However, I would give this place a chance if it meant my mental health was on the line.

They heard me when I shared my needs and wants to build a foundation for my recovery program . They gave me the tools needed to have positive coping skills and learn how to respond to my problems instead of reacting. With the health issues coming in they provided transportation to make doctor appointments and dental needs . I truly felt I was apart of a FAMILY at they facility

Talbert House has truly helped me. The staff there are amazing, and always try their best to help us. There are staff who will spend their money and make us breakfast some mornings. Christmas, although sad, was truly fun. One of the clinical staff came in and played some games with us. Although the program can be hard, I believe it can truly help you. The program can be stressful at times, but the staff are there to try and help you. My favorite staff, Ms. Beth, always had the newest shoes on. She, along with all the staff, truly helped me. I love absolutely all the staff that works there, this was my fourth treatment center in two years. The way the facility is structured and how they get you out and about trying new things, going to meetings, getting you accumulated to being sober in the real world was exactly what I needed. They got me into a PHP program following my completion and I’m really happy where I am!! Also shout out to Megan the therapist I absolutely love her and how she tells you how it is In a nice way !! I honestly can’t speak enough in regards to the positivity that I personally received during my tenure in this facility. The staff there was second to none in terms of optimism, great attitude and a cheery nature of sorts, but at the same time, very much realistic. From the behavioral therapists, to the nurses station, right down to lunch ladies, an absolutely amazing group of individuals who walk with one while on their journey. Every individual that I encountered along the way was truly there with the purpose of guiding us on our path, and seeing us through just the same. Thank you so very much to all of the staff!!

There are moments when being both a family member and a professional in the field of substance use disorder makes you see things from a perspective that is difficult to put into words. This is one of those moments. My sister completes treatment tomorrow, and I cannot let this milestone pass without expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire team who cared for her. After more than 30 years of substance use and countless experiences with treatment, this is the first time my sister has successfully completed a treatment program. That alone makes tomorrow incredibly meaningful for our family. But what means even more to me is knowing that she was not simply treated for her substance use disorder she was cared for as a whole person. She entered treatment with serious and critical health concerns that required attention, advocacy, and compassionate care. Those concerns were recognized and addressed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure her health and safety were not overlooked, and that her needs were treated with the dignity and seriousness they deserved. As someone who works professionally in the SUD field, I know how much goes into helping someone reach this point. I understand the importance of consistency, compassion, boundaries, clinical skill, medical attention, and perhaps most importantly having people who continue to see the person underneath the addiction. But as her sister, I experienced something even more personal... relief and hope. For the first time in a very long time, my family could breathe a little easier knowing she was somewhere safe, seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Recovery is not easy. Thirty years of addiction does not disappear in a month. Completing treatment does not mean the journey is over. But completing treatment after decades of struggle is a tremendous accomplishment, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. The encouragement and coordinated care for her discharge planning was imperative. This was executed with precision as well. To every person who played a part in her care, thank you. Thank you for showing up for her. Thank you for taking her health concerns seriously. Thank you for seeing beyond her history and recognizing the person she still was underneath all of it. Thank you for giving her the opportunity to experience treatment differently this time. As a professional, I appreciate the quality of care you provided. As her sister, I will never forget it. Tomorrow, our family gets to celebrate something we have hoped and prayed for through many difficult years: my sister, believing in herself. Thank you for helping make this moment possible. ❤️Aj Merk

I have been a patient at the Lindner Center of Hope since 2020. In that time, I have received many of the services that Lindner has to offer, from rapid access, to inpatient, to residential, to PHP, to outpatient therapy and psychiatry. I wanted to leave a review in case anyone is in a place where they really need help, to highly recommend the Lindner Center. It has been completely transformational for me and a large part of the reason I have been able to recover from and now maintain my mental health since my diagnosis. The providers I have seen genuinely care about me and are extremely knowledgeable. The organization as a whole also truly cares about the health and wellbeing of its patients and community, frequently putting on free events to educate people on mental health. They’ve even had a patient advisory committee to seek patient input on their decisions. I have always been helped quickly, whether that’s with admission or getting on someone’s schedule rapidly to get the care I need in the moment I need it. I have even received financial assistance that one of the providers helped secure for me. Providers at LCOH throughly assessed and confirmed a confusing and difficult diagnosis for me, and worked with me over the years to find the right medication regimen for where I was at during each phase since my initial episode(s). The individual counseling and group DBT/other group work I participated in allowed me to work through a lot of damage and acquire skills to rebuild my life. Has every employee I’ve interacted with or every day/single activity of a service I ever received been 100% perfect? Of course not, but mental health is extremely difficult to treat, and the staff certainly deals with a lot each day. The VAST majority of my experiences have been OVERWHELMINGLY positive and I would expect-as with anything else in life-to have some moments where I am a little disappointed. I have no doubt that every provider I’ve worked with has had my best interest in mind, and I trust the care plans laid out for me. My therapist has truly been a life saver for me and I plan to keep my medication management and counseling with the Lindner Center indefinitely. Please try this place out if you are struggling!

I can’t say enough about CAT! The simple facts are that this place and all of the kind souls who make it operate have helped me through the darkest times of my life. With a host of resources I was not only able to work on my recovery, court services worked by my side every step of the way to resolve my legal obligations as well. I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I wasn’t ready when I arrived, but they helped me become ready. I’m deeply grateful for the role they played in my journey.

I've been a prospector for a long time, it's something special that works in this house, I don't know if it's the residence the staff the structure of the program, it's full of care and love it's spiritual and it forces you to change.
