I heard about this facility from a friend and I decided to give it a try. The program works really well if you put in the work. The food is great and the staff hold you accountable, the facility could be a little bit cleaner but with one cleaning lady who puts in a lot of work what do you expect.This facility makes you feel like you will be ready to get out there on your own and succeed on your recovery journey.

I can't stand the negative reviews. YES I WAS THERE. Six months ago, I almost didn't stay but I did. Such incredible staff and an incredible program. Met some of the greatest people to ever want to change their life around. Residential was amazing. PHP also an incredible program attended both with full support from all staff and peers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECOVERY WORKS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BETTER THEMSELVES.

I had a great experience with Better Life md, the whole process was very simple! I really liked the provider, and the rest of the staff were very nice and helpful. I met Dr. O today, he was so nice and informative, he does an incredible job of explaining things, and he truly cares. I can see that in people, and he is a dr that really cares about patients he cares for. It’s rare this day and age, and I really respect that, I am really happy I made the switch to Dr. O’s office. I had trip down to ER on 9/30 and I have to the physician Alex Smith was amazing she got figured out what was wrong and now I know which way to go to get my health back in order she and Bryce explain to me my next steps and Jade in registration was also amazing.. I explained to her my situation having no job and no medical insurance at this time she also gave me a program to help financially with my medical bills all three of them need some recognition and or even a raise because the customer service was top tier especially when people say so many bad things about Methodist Northlake thanks you for proving them wrong and keep up the good work 👏🏾 God bless the whole ER staff

The people saying that the food was like Cook county jail's food obviously never been to Cook county. It's like they say it only works if you work it this place takes a lot of people that don't have insurance therefore they probably don't make a lot of money but overall the people care they care enough to take care of people that can't take care of themselves and can't afford it either. It's truly disturbing that a lot of people gave a one-star rating just because of food. This place saved my life, I was on Mater Hall with my child. I loved Mater Hall and most of the counselors, and caseworkers.. Ms Pink and Ms Jones were just case workers and I felt I got more advice and help from them, Emily was also extremely helpful and supportive. I recommend this place fully!! The focus is getting clean not being pampered like your on vacation !!!

Shout out to Ms. Jones and Ms. D aka Ms. PINK 🩷 Ms. Jebriyah Ms. Daryce and Ms. Michelle of mater hall, they make staying worth it with their down to earthness and constant support. They really understand us women and what we go thru. I won't say the same for the supervisor Emily who literally runs a maternity ward and will deny you your cravings no matter how reasonable it is. She made it feel like a prison with your special commissary and be thankful you even eat attitude. Pregnant woman should be allowed SWEETS AND ICE CREAM especially if those items can be purchased downstairs in the pharmacy. My time at Haymarket flew by and I was able to complete 22 days successfully and get my first ever certification of completion 🤗 and have been able to stay sober since I've been home. Going back to the staff above I constantly remember things they said that stuck with me and all the support they gave just by being real. Haymarket food isn't the best consider it county food but they did end up hooking a girl up due to health issues (shout out to Danielle &Wanda) also their doula program is AMAZING the doulas they have are the absolute best (Alexis and Crystal!) they also have powerful testimonies and really care about you as a person and a mother. The counselors and caseworkers they have also help manage your case (shout out Ms Lisa!) Once again I'm greatful to this place for employing staff who have powerful testimony and can actually relate to where you are in your recovery journey. All jokes aside they should have a security officer on the floor at all times it was a little intense with all the fighting 🫣 Thank you to the staff at Haymarket for everything and for my floor mates for making the time go by fast and for the life long friendships made!

I’ve seen some of the negative reviews here, and I wanted to share a different perspective. This is difficult work. The staff often meet people on some of the hardest days of their lives, and those situations aren’t always easy.
I’ve personally seen staff deal with some incredibly difficult circumstances, and I’ve been impressed by the patience, kindness, and professionalism they show. Are things always perfect? Of course not. But there are a lot of really good people here who care about what they do and genuinely want to help.
I think that deserves to be said, too.

I came in today with a heavy broken heart with no hope and every single person there gave me the faith in myself I recently lost. From the woman who made my appointment- the woman who checked me in- the nurses- medical administrator & my counselor. I walked in feeling like giving up and left (only after intake) and found some hope. After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. Parkdale didn’t just help me continue my recovery, they helped me to continue to find myself again. They believed in me, held space for my pain, and gave me the tools and encouragement to continue to rise stronger than I ever thought possible.
From the leadership to the support staff, everyone at Parkdale exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to healing. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. These two, and so many others at Parkdale (like Dr. Chris, Denise, Ty, David) restored my faith in people and reminded me that recovery is possible when you’re surrounded by those who genuinely care.

Having used their facilities for our Union members and for a family member, the counselors are caring, responsive, and communicate very well on a treatment plan and objectives & goals. Ms Tori awesome!!!!! The group meetings and accountability for each other in treatment works in a great atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this facility if a friend, co-worker, and family members are in need of help with addictions and/or mental health. It is located in chesterton nearby for visitation purposes.

I’ve never written a review like this before, but Belinda at Regional Health absolutely deserves it. She is, without exaggeration, the sweetest and most genuinely caring person I have ever dealt with at any establishment. I’ve never even met her in person, yet she has treated me with more kindness, consistency, and dedication than most people you meet face-to-face.
Belinda goes above and beyond in every way. She helped me find an amazing doctor, made sure my medications were taken care of, and anytime she said she would do something, I knew for a fact it would get done. No doubts. No chasing. No stress.
There were days she even made late calls just to make sure everything was handled for me, then followed up to confirm things went smoothly.
It’s rare to find someone in healthcare who brings this level of compassion and follow-through. She has made my life a million times easier, and I’m genuinely grateful for her. If every healthcare system had a “Belinda,” the world would be a much better place.

If they took my insurance which covers everything, it would def be a better experience. However the choice between using and taking my medicine is clear to me and worth the money in the end. However it is a program that you have to work for yourself. No one can do it for you.

Let me just say I was a patient at Medmark for years and above everything no matter what because they open at 4:45 AM says it all. They generally want to meet everyday people’s needs to live a normal life.In and out the door before 5am to do what you need to do w your life. Try and find another clinic that does that for you. You won’t. Working men and women this your clinic. Just no weed. Sorry.

I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don’t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don’t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don’t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can’t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That’s all!

ALL the girls at the front desk are so much sweethearts. They are insanely nice AND they are sweethearts. ESPECIALLY, the nurses, I've known Pat now for like 10 years, she's awesome. Laura is amazing too. The nurse practitioner is very very sweet & super nice, & my counselor, Michael. He is SUPER SYMPATHETIC & EMPATHETIC!! He REALLY REALLY cares about you. Best clinic I have EVER been to in my 25 years of opioid addiction.

I have been going there for 7 years. This place literally saved my life. They are very understanding and work with you on many levels. I moved and I can go to the clinic by me but I drive the 60 miles every month to go there to get my meds.This was the only thing that worked for me and thank God it did.

I love it here it’s like my own personal family. The staff is great. But recently it's a problem with the insurance they say I have to pay $20 weekly because my insurance didn't pay but they have not given me proof of the months not paid I have my proof. But yet I have to wait and see there proof it's been almost 30 days now I have been paying that's not legal and on top of that they have billed 2 of my insurance
