This is one of the best VA Medical Centers that I’ve been to. Appointments are kept on time and it’s very clean. The doctors here made a diagnosis that the two major hospitals could not get right. I’m grateful for that.

It all started YEARS ago when I sent an email to Better Life, desperately searching for a provider to get me in right away. It was a Friday. I was refused to be seen at my then current provider for being 15 mins late. I had just had a C Section. I wasn’t even cleared to drive yet. They were so overbooked they refused to squeeze me in. I said, it’s Friday! I won’t be able to get my meds until Monday! They told me, sorry, we can’t help you— and offered to give me “comfort” meds in the form of Imodium. Which we all know is a joke. & they also informed me it would be 2 weeks til my next appointment. NOT Monday. They played with my sobriety as having to go that long without your medication can be devastating to your recovery. Like a true Angel from above, Dr O called me into his office AFTER HOURS ON A FRIDAY and got me my medication RIGHT AWAY. I thought there was no way he’d see my email before the weekend. I had googled other doctors and locations in my area and came across Better Life and his email and though it felt hopeless, I emailed him. Not only did he see it, and quickly, but he took time to get me in when his office was supposed to be closed! I was able to leave his office as a new patient and go get my meds! He saved my sobriety that day and I’m forever grateful to him for that! It is something I will NEVER forget! I was his patient for a few years (and he IS as fabulous as these reviews say) until he got some help on board, NP Laura! Laura is incredible! She has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion. Talking with her is like talking to a friend and I look forward to seeing her. She IS a friend, in my eyes. One of the most compassionate addiction specialists in NWI, next to Dr O. This office and everyone in it are in a league of their own and I will NEVER see another doctor! They’re stuck with me for good! If you want to find a place that truly cares and will do whatever they can to help you stay sober… give this place a try. Just don’t all of you come at once HAHA (I joke) BUT one of the best things about this place is the fact that they are not too overloaded with patients. Often times a good place will go downhill when they take on too many people bc the quality of care goes down. This place does NOT overbook and I’m entirely grateful for that. & if they do, heck I don’t ever notice!! My care is never compromised! My appointments are never a headache! Running a few minutes behind will never put me in a bad spot again and as a mother of 5, that alone is priceless because being late happens sometimes! This is the best Addiction Treatment Center in all of NWI with the best people on board. Throughout my sobriety journey (now 10 years) I’ve been to MANY locations. All with the same self serving goals, judgement, and lack of compassion. You will never run into that problem here. You will always be treated like a human being and not like an addict. That alone is worth more than money can buy. Thank you Laura, Dr O, and all the amazing ladies up front that help me every visit! You are ALL rockstars! & angels! 😇

Excellent place for adults to go for treatment. The staff are friendly, courteous, kind, professional. The doctor is informative, caring, attentive, highly recommend for ADULTS or mature young adults. Appointments are always punctual.

Very considerate and kind I felt like I was genuinely cared for

When I watched an online video of my son Terrance getting his brains obliterated and having the remaining chunks of his face slamming into the dirt I never thought I'd get over with it. Now I'm not gonna lie, I didn't. I still have nightmares of him asking for help trying to communicate with his face half-missing. But at least thanks to Edgewater Health, Dr. Lipschitz helped me get a bi-weekly supply of Zoloft and Oxycotton. We gettin' LIT. Thank you Terrance for all your help over the years, but your death has semented my life into being bliss, GOD BLESS OPIOIDS!

I don't have a problem with seeing my nurse I haven't met anybody there that is not friendly. Just don't take the elevator

My family doctor nd therapist are located in this facility.

My experience was great there. I had a counselor who could relate to me who was an ex-addict. And she really did care.

I appreciate the in and out process here. This clinic has been a convenience to my family. They call and text to remind of appointments, which is very convenient for our schedule. The intake staff are professional and friendly and most of all tge doctors are very welcoming and eager to answer any questions about your care. I recommend clinic for family Healthcare.

Took care of me very well I was admitted in the hospital.

I was treated very well, fast and professional and very clean ER and rooms, also the food is good just don't ask for another portion I was told by dinner staff they would rather throw it in trash than give extra !

The Front-Office Staff has recently been re-vamped & they are more efficient , fair & respectful. Things are definitely more organized with the waiting process for medication. I highly recommend using methadone only as a detox or no longer than 21 days as you can find yourself dependent. Either way you choose methadone & Eva Mae 66th has , can & will change your life for the best if you choose right decisions. This clinic offers a variety of resources from counseling, meetings, more , proof of progress for court and more. You will get tested for TB regularly as well. Eva Mae periodically still follows Covid-19 rules as masks are handed out. Be sure to keep yourself safe , clean and aware of surroundings. Insurances are accepted as well as self pay. Parking close to the door can be a challenge.

While I am not an actual patient there, my son is, and I was looking for more services for him. I needed information about services that were eligible to him. A few days ago, I emailed the organization, and an actual angel called me back. I usually don't do reviews because, who really read these things BUT I had to in this case at least to show appreciation. I spoke with a special lady name Tazy. She listened, gave me support and most of all she gave me hope that with a little work, consistency and diligence things will get better for me and my son. She made me smile when I wanted to actually cry. I got contact numbers of a housing specialist and places to go that would provide my son with other things he desperately needs. I even had to call her back a couple times when we were off track and needed a little more direction, she made time for me each time I called and, in a world, where things are so hurried and rushed, I really the time, patience and care that was given us.

I really appreciate the help I received from the Resources Coordinator Tazzie! She offered me multiple options and programs to add to my research needs. I🙏🏾👏🏾👍🏾

I was there and was fortunate to get into and no rehab is perfect, but for me it was what I needed. Chris and Martin were great im my rehab and journey to recovery. I'm still in contact with them and others who are clean and sober

Mr.Whitfield was very helpful in helping me with my alcoholism and alcohol recovery.I was hesitant at first to accept I had an addiction and or a problem but his lessons helped me open up and own my responsibilities for my internal and external triggers.As I let his outlook and experience on addiction resinate class by class it made fighting addiction and recovering more manageable.i would recommend Mr.Whitfield and this program for anyone struggling with addiction in life.

Mr. Whitfield have my experience here very challenging but understanding to my knowledge. He has helped my recovery become a breeze. He gives not only addiction lessons but life lessons as well. This program has made a major impact on my life I’m grateful and thankful.

My children currently go here. From day one I’ve had issues with the school. Not having my girls in the same classroom. They never were separated until they started there. I voiced my concerns and always got the run around and how it’s their policy to separate siblings. On their very first day both my children had gotten hurt from another child... mind you they are in separate classrooms. I didn’t hear if they corrected the children or spoke with the parents of the children who bite/clawed my girls and in both classrooms the teachers did not see it happen. If two teachers are in the classroom how did not one of them see my children being bitten or clawed on the neck. I believe there are too many children for the directors to keep an eye on. Before my children went there they were potty trained and we had taken nap time out of our schedule so they could go to bed at a decent time. They have the kids take naps late in the day which in turn makes my kids super hyper when I pick them up after work and they refuse to go to bed at the time I had instilled. Both my children have been having accidents at the school and the directors said my children did not tell them they had to go. I never had/have any issues with them at home. One of my daughters told me she did tell the director and they didn’t take her which led to her peeing in her pants. Children at that age cannot hold it like an adult can. I feel they need extra directors in the classrooms to care for the amount of children they have, keep the 3/4 year olds together and the younger ones with the younger ones. I will say both my children have learned some things from the directors with the short amount of time they have been there and they do great educational activities with the children.
