Edit: Dr. Cordero-Torres is the medical director and he also oversees the Broward Health psych ward. He makes MAJOR cash. When I had primo insurance he made sure to take advantage of it.

having to go through a cancer journey is so difficult on his own . cmc has been a dream come true as far as surgery chemo days and recovery I wouldn't go elsewhere I trust my team of doctors here is a brand new facility and most of the nurses a very compassionate which is so hard to find in this field .

No residential treatment center is perfect. But my child went in suicidal, self harming, failing school and with no coping skills for the huge emotions that accompany bipolar disorder…and came out 5 months later substantially improved, emotionally stable and with skills to manage stress. I have written both positive and negative reviews about this hospital back to back because I simply didn’t know how I felt about this place at first. But now I have made up my mind, and I’ve decided to give a full star rating, as crazy as that may sound at first, because of all the negative comments. I’m not giving this place a low rating simply because of the fighting and the other negativity that occurred in this facility because that can literally happen at any mental hospital. I have learned many things since I came here. I learned that life was worth living for and that fighting people is wrong. I fought two other residents when I was over there and my therapist and doctor rightfully punished me for it. They took away my Captain status and my PGB privilege, so I couldn’t go anywhere besides school. Honestly I was lucky that’s ALL that happened for assaulting those girls. Because that was a crime. Before that happened, I tried to fight this other girl just because she said something about me that made me upset, but I honestly had it coming because I was instigating (it was a LONG story), and nothing gave me a right to try to fight her.
Anyway, before I came to SP, I was a disaster. I was experiencing active suicidal ideation and was self harming multiple times a week. I attempted suicide one time by drinking Pine-Sol. Around the time I got sexually assaulted by my mom’s ex boyfriend so that just made the suicidal ideation worse. I was suicidal before I got raped, by the way. So therefore, if I had not been admitted to Sandy Pines, I probably would’ve been killed myself. I had a loving and caring therapist and psychiatrist and honestly I never had a bad experience with any of the staff. I have intense remorse for attacking those two people and I haven’t fought anyone for 5 years now. Since I left SP, there were times that I relapsed with the suicidal ideation, attempts, and self harm, but recently I have been improving. Now I’m in college and I’m graduating in the fall semester with my associates degree in education. I plan on being an elementary teacher in the future. I’m still working on myself. And I gotta say, going to Sandy Pines is part of my success story.

I went there as a patient and it was good awesome staff Mr. Fernando as well as Mrs. M. And Mrs Lillin and Mr Matt and obviously Mrs Ava. I loved the place needs some cleaning though I never got to shout out anyone because I left so early but the staff were very awesome in general. Thank you so much. I did leave more depressed though. My experience at Beachway was a 100/10. The life skills I learned are priceless and that’s putting it lightly. Beachway was the third treatment center I had been to, following the sudden loss of a loved one. I had prior sobriety before beachway and was convinced that I was only there because of a death, and that that was why I was spiraling. The staff at Beachway saw I needed much more help than that. They all knew before I did that if that death didn’t happen, I probably wouldn’t have stayed sober anyway. There was still much more therapy to be done, and more to learn.
The staff took a genuine care in doing so, and looking back at their clinical process they are nothing short of a power house of a team. I never felt so cared for as a human being by people that just met me. The staff quickly became my family, cheering me on while also taking it extremely serious. They are unapologetically honest, which in my experience is the #1 thing needed in recovery. Many of the things they said to me during my time there still stick with me (a year later) and help me navigate life!
I tell anyone that has a loved one with Substance abuse or mental health issues about beachway.

I owe Beachway my life for sure. I won’t lie and say that I loved every minute of it because I didn’t. A lot of it was very painful, because confronting inner demons is painful. It was a lot of group therapy (especially given how afraid of people I was going in), but they truly helped me gain sobriety and face down my trauma. And they put up with a lot of my crazy behavior while I was going through withdrawals in detox. Like any rehab, you’ll get out of it what you put into it. Surrender to the process for best results. Rehab isn’t a magic wand that makes problems vanish. Rehab gave me the opportunity to accept the ways in which I cause my own suffering instead of blaming everyone around me, while surrounded by professionals who prevented me from hurting myself while my dried out, and helped me identify the underlying causes of my addiction. It will be tough. It will be scary. It will be worth it. I wish I’d gone sooner. The staff there are wonderful and don’t get enough credit. Thank you Beachway.

Great place that helped me immensely. The staff and faculty truly care and are great. I did the RESET program (Residential and PHP) and it was very helpful. They quickly responded to feedback and the community is respectful and supportive of each other. This place has amazing resources and at the end of your treatment they’ll refer you to whatever you need. The food was good, basic but definitely edible, amazing kitchen staff.
Alumni knows what they’re doing and I cannot speak highly enough of their team, all the therapists are more than competent and some of the most exceptional therapists I’ve ever met. Any issues my family had they would quickly respond to and take action (for the most part). Phone time is lenient especially in PHP (6-10pm) residential it was 1-2 hours for most. If you need help this is the place to get it, the benefits definitely outweigh the cons and is a gift to me.
The complaints I have are:
- Mold on bathroom ceilings (due to low ventilation)
- Certain situations weren’t handled well or at all
- Ants in community room and in general
- Hot tub wasn’t working most of the duration of my stay
- Very low patient to staff ratio (1:10 at one point)
- Inconsistent rule enforcement

I have never been to a facility before and was unsure what to expect. When I arrived the staff was friendly and everyone greeted me and was great to speak with. I honestly have no complaints over the services offered and all the staff members. I truly would recommend this place as a facility if you’re looking or need a place. Most people that I’ve interacted to here have said this place is amazing vs any other rehab!

I went to treatment here twice, and what I will say is this place is a real gem but your experience is going to depend upon your mentality, take accountability people that’s the most important part. When it was my second time coming into treatment I was baker acted out of state. I called Jennifer the virtual manager in the late hours of the night annd she picked up and I told her I was going to end my life. I was tired. She stayed on the phone with me until police came and calmed me down. I remember sitting there with my eyes closed just listening to her voice telling me to breathe and she’s going to help me. She’s an angel in human form she’s one of the sweetest most caring humans I’ve ever come across. Next up is Paul Paul will open his arms to you and make you feel welcomed like there’s never no judgement with the guy he’s very supportive and my god is he smart. The man is great. He’s written a few books the past year and every word deserves to be seen by everyone. Tarah I love you thank you for always being supportive and a shoulder to cry on you are such an inspiration. Ron you’ve got the best attitude better than anyone I ever met your always so happy. Malika is sweet and has the best smile she’s so funny and always makes others smile and laugh. Gary I don’t have enough words for you your very valuable in my recovery journey don’t ever forget that. Beachside is a wonderful environment that truly cares about your goals and needs. If you're in need of inpatient therapy I would highly suggest Beachside. At first I really did not want to come but I met many lifelong friends and really discovered myself. The building is clean and well cared for. The staff is lovely, and will accommodate you best they can. The pool, gym, and other amenities are very nice and well kept. I highly recommend anyone who needs a little or a lot of mental health help to choose beachside. The community is overwhelmingly welcoming, after my 30 days I was incredibly sad to leave and it's almost hard to understand I unfortunately won't be back. Beachside is the right choice if you're looking to do it right, I would do it 100 times over again if I could.

I just left allure and it checking myself in and staying there to complete the residential after detoxing was the best decision I’ve made in decades. The clinical director Brad and the operations director Joey have an amazing staff around them. Most are in recovery and they UNDERSTOOD me. Going to treatment can be nerve wracking and their team made sure I was comfortable and welcomed. I spent over 3 weeks there and not once did I feel out of place or unsafe. They helped me work through all of the problems i had in my life when I admitted myself in the wake of my active addiction and I left with a purpose and the guidance and aftercare I needed to remain sober in the future. There’s no magic pill or wand to cure sobriety but they genuinely care and motivate you to put in the work and learn the tools to stay clean. When I came into Elan I was broken, I had no trust in rehab centers and they changed my way of thinking. They earned my trust and helped me save my life. The staff is truly the best hand picked employees a rehab center could have. All the therapists are phenomenal in what they do, they have all helped me and have gave me the criteria to live a honest clean sober life. The Techs are wonderful they’re so welcoming and do anything to make you comfortable, the lead techs Keri & Scott are so insightful. The family program that the therapist Lystra conducted was the most HEALING EXPERIENCE and has helped with a lifetime worth of damage. We keep in contact weekly and it’s the most beautiful relationship I’ve bonded with a therapist, thank you Lystra for all you do. The Director Barbara I will be forever grateful for she always made time to be there for me. The Clinical Medical staff knows what they are talking about and very understanding. Pastor Craig is the best motivational staff member he’s made a world of a difference in my life. Diane’s groups are AMAZING! I got so much out of this program, and I am forever grateful for the help that I received. The nursing staff was available 24 hours a day. My detox was very comfortable, and easy to get through. The massages and chiropractor was extremely helpful. All of the groups were small and personable. If it wasn’t for coming here I don’t think I would have gained the tools to stay clean. i came here two years ago it was my third attempt to get sober and it stuck. in all my worst times music always helped pull me through and although i couldn’t have my phone they gave me an ipod and uploaded my favorite artists and it gave me so much comfort. a lot of the staff are also in recovery so i trusted them and you can tell they actually care and want to see you get better. i love this place very much <3

This place is great made the right choice in going here. Megan was an amazing therapist who pushed me in ways others have not. The facilitators were amazing. Remix with Tyler and Mariah were by far some of the most impactful groups I’ve been apart of. The food was always on point which is always a huge benefit. The entire kitchen staff was amazing. Sarah and Chae not only provided some of the best food I’ve eaten but also were quick to make me feel at home having long talks after the dinner rush to going as far as making me chicken noodle soup when I was sick. The techs were awesome, Sammy is an absolute gangster and Keelie not only severed as the first person most people were welcomed by but one of the cheeriest and happy people that RU is lucky to have as a face of the company. If you or a loved one struggling I can not recommend this place enough. (Also has a nice gym if you are into that)

I attended Hanley for 60 days and attended Intensive Outpatient for one month. This was my second rodeo. I was a Prosecutor and Drug Court General Magistrate (Judicial) for 25 years and spoke at every facility you could imagine. Actively involved. I took the fall myself (go figure) and put myself into Hanley because I was well aware of their reputation. It was the best and most holistic experience of my life. Great facility etc. BUT that is not what matters. The 12 Step Concept they utilize along with dual quality education and therapies saved my life. I live by the Steps, follow what they inspired me to do and I am reborn. No scintilla of a desire for a drink. Actively involved with them still and always will be if they will have me!

The staff was amazing. shuttles to the beach and the best damn food.

Archstone, my new chosen family, saved my life. With there dual-diagnosis treatment planning, top-notch therapists (shout out to my girl Kay-BEST THERAPIST EVER), case managers (shout out to Patty), group facilitators (shout out to Danny- Alumni coordinator), BHT’s (shout out to Sully, Beau, Rakeem, Shazo ) and all nursing staff. These are just a few names of the incredible staff/team members that helped throughout my journey of recovery. Incredible work ethic, filled with compassion, PATIENCE, empathy, love, joy, sass, tolerance, ambition, motivation, encouragement, wisdom, strength and hope. They are active-listeners who truly care, give great advice and love what they do. I felt so understood, comfortable and cared for. And they would give me “tough love” when I needed that too lol (I respect that).
The groups were amazing. My favorite groups were led by Kay and Danny. I learned SO much…. Emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, CBT/DBT, impulse control, learning my “grey area” instead of black- n-white/ all-or-nothing thinking, coping skills, acceptance, letting go of control, humility, core/spiritual values/principles, how to face trauma head-on, setting realistic goals, effective communication and just getting reeeeeeally freaking honest.
There was outdoor activity available as well, which I loved. Physical activity/outdoors is a huge part in my recovery. I enjoyed walking, nature, swimming, pickle ball, corn-hole, basketball, ping-pong and working out in the gym. Danny led a group fitness class that TOTALLY kicked my butt (in the best way lol) even though I could barely walk up the stairs two days after. It was amazing!!
The whole experience was super empowering. I would recommend to anyone ready to make the best decision of their life, break the chains and bondage of addiction and find freedom. It’s such a more beautiful way to live. No more hate or anger or fear or resentment or pain n suffering or debilitating anxiety. Archstone has imprinted on my heart in the deepest way… and for that, I am forever grateful.

Archstone is really the best residential I've been to, they helped me out so much and was super kind. I was in a jam and they pulled me out of it.
