I’ve never felt I could actually be myself and open up to a doctor like I have her. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with doctors in the past, but I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Shawnee family health. They are all very friendly and I just love my doctor so much she’s the best. She truly cares about her patience all these other negative comments on here. I don’t see that there I’ve seen it many other places, but not here so don’t listen to the negative negative comments if you wanna know, go in person and make your own opinion and I about guarantee it’ll be a good one. I feel the people leaving bad reviews are just doing so because they didn’t get the medication they wanted or something. I’ve never had any kind of issues with them whatsoever and I drive a very far distance just to see Dr. Katz because I love her so much and I know I’m not gonna find another psychiatrist that I feel that comfortable with so thank you Dr. Katz for being a wonderful doctor a caring doctor and so real and down to earth and thank you for caring about me. As a long term patient there, I know most of the staff by name. I have a lot of love and respect for the staff especially my doctor Deborah Katz, they treat you like family. They care about your health and wellbeing. The negative comments on here are just Karen’s and Kevin’s complaining because they have nothing else to do with their lives. They introduced me to narcotics anonymous which is a program. I never had tried before and just recently got two years clean. They sent me up for the beginning to stay clean. It is the only place I’ve ever seen where when you get to go to meetings you’ll see the staff there and they treat you like family not a number. I also used to work for the same program, which is ARIA and both experiences were phenomenal. I highly recommend this if you want to change your life it changed mine. I went in broken with a backpack of dirty clothes and no options. I graduated in 2011 these reviews are sad to read that all these people never got the benefits that I did. It's most definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done the mowing acres, the "telling past trauma to your peers", sitting on the floor all of that is true but given out of context. It's extremely difficult and it's not fun at all we weren't even allowed to smile. All that being said that experience changed my life it taught me accountability I was able to get my GED as well as graduate high school with honors and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me. They don't give you a choice you have to get with the program and if you don't I guess you end up being grown and complaining about the trauma and I'm sure they're still blaming everyone for their issues. I just wanted to leave a positive review that is honest. It's hard it sucks and if you get through it you'll be better for it.
