07/12/24 I almost died from Pancreatitis from my drinking. It’s a scary thing checking yourself in to a place like that. I was welcomed with open arms. The first person to sit down and talk to me one on one, pick my brain if you will before I started classes was Mr. Bill from RSS and Big Dan one of the instructors there. And Miss Holly big shout out to her for helping me get my meal plan back together I was a bodybuilder. Big Dan always talked with intensity and passion as a former addict. I had a recent bender and the first thing that happened when I walked in I shook Mr. Bills hand said long time no see, no judgement he said you hungry and fed me. Next day saw Big Dan with guilt I said I’m sorry I’m back but I’m happy to see you. We got talking a bit I sat down in the very first class I had with him and it was so raw and real, vulnerable even about his experiences. I hope this review does good for people looking for help. And I help they all see this knowing how much good they truly give to people and help they give to the world. From the last time I was there the amount my life changed has been leaps and bounds for the best. I recognized I made an error I immediately sought help. Got it immediately and can’t wait to never go back, but also to see how much farther I’ll go and achieve after this experience for the better.

Brace Bridge Hall was truly a wonderful place. The staff made me feel cared for every step of the way — they were not only professional, but also kind, supportive, and understanding. I’m so grateful for everything they did for me. Most of all I remain sober by the grace of God.

Just finished a twenty eight day program this week. Ashley, the staff, PSAs (especially Gavin) helped me to finally grasp the severity of my disease and my spiritual condition. They took personal interest in me and helped stop me from leaving despite me being a little “difficult” 😆 I will always be grateful for Ashley, for giving me the ability to even say the word grateful, which is a miracle in itself.

I've been in 7 short n long term programs in Baltimore City with my wife Amanda. She passed away September 17th 2024 at 33yrs old. I was not just lost, broken hopeless n suicidal but much worse because the love of my life was gone forever. I thought I'd accepted it was the end for me n that there was no God. Being at my worst i found Amanda was still guiding me even when I didn't know it. Today I can say she helped me find MRP n put some of the best people in my life. I am so very grateful for Maryland recovery n the amazing clinical staff Alex,Kim,Doug, Brittany, Crystal, April,Laura, Carrie, Jessica and Stephanie. They not just did their jobs to the highest standard as well as showed me dignity and respect while doing it. They all gave me what I wanted n needed to want to live life again, setting me up for success, giving me a solid foundation like I never had before. The PSA's Matt, Hayden ,Big Drew, Jeff,Paul, both Lisa's and Nikki literally made me feel like I was not just a person but part of a big "recovery"family that truly cared about me , my needs and wants. They all took the time to get to know me, guide me and shared very helpful personal stories about themselves or someone they knew that has or was going through something like i was. I didn't feel different or alone anymore but part of something bigger. I can honestly say i see things in all of them that id like to see in myself one day as i continue to grow and move forward in life. I see them all as my friends and leaders in recovery and life. Ive done more in the last 30days at MRP than ive done in the last 10 yrs of my life. THANK YOU for helping save my life. If you're struggling with addiction and mental health issues, MRP is the best place to go to for a recovery and set you up for continued success.Just be willing and i swear everything else will fall into place!!!.

I give it a 5 because staff is nice, they listen to what I have have to say, work with my work schedule, doesn't take a very long time to get take homes. As long as you're doing what your supposed to do then you move along quickly here. I've been to several clinics and this one is definitely the best in my opinion.

I am a client at the moment, I am going to be honest with you and you can do whatever you want to with the information, I have been on methadone for about 21 years now and I have not ever had been blessed with my take home bottles for good condition and being sober, I am not sure what they do that is so much better than any other clinics I have been blessed to have been saved by. I think the difference is that you are not there to get up with all of your get high buddies and if you do bring them on they'll be better than they came

This place saved my life! From the time I walked through the door just three days after my suicide attempt I felt SAFE and with folks who understood what was going on. Once home I realized that I wasn’t 100%. After three weeks home I returned on my own. Today I can proudly say that I have helped several others enjoy the life after The Hog! The Harbor of Grace helped me gain valuable tools to help with my depression and SI. The staff taught me that it is OK to not be ok and that it is more than acceptable to ask for help in a time of crisis. I would recommend that any first responder going through a difficult time with eother substance abuse or mental health issues to buy in to your own treatment and allow Harbor of Grace to assist you in that treatment.

As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to Veterans from other states. Sometimes it's difficult to admit the need for help, but hopefully, someone will take the time to read this and reach out.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

If you’re looking for a recovery house to give you a great foundation for long-term recovery Homecoming projects is the house for you. I went to The Homecoming project right after turning 23. It was my first sober living home out of a 30 day program. I have been able to sustain almost 7 years of sobriety. Homecoming not only provided me a strong foundation for my recovery but continues to go far beyond supporting me after the house to be the best version of myself and the mother to my son who is now almost 9 years old. i went in oct. 30 and re-admitted dec.15, both in 2023 at 19 years old with no will to live, accepted my death already and felt nothing but dread and misery. that and uncontrollable ptsd nightmares each time i slept, couldn’t control my own negative thoughts and i absolutely hated everything about being alive. no will to live at all. i got admitted as psych patient, put on a lot of meds, tried different medications until some worked. i went to outpatient, and over the months of my meds working and going to daily therapy, my entire mind changed. the old doctor, dr Jacobson really sucked, but dr mike listened to everything i said and took me seriously. he and the staff absolutely changed my life and i don’t know how to thank them enough. they gave me a will to live. thank you dr. I had a wonderful experience in the partial hospital program at the Orchards. When I first came to the program I was extremely depressed and all I could think about were negative thoughts. The LCSW who ran the PHP program, Stephanie, was beyond amazing and provided educational sessions on how to combat negative self talk, CBD, EMDR, and anxiety reducing techniques. I would highly recommend anyone struggling with depression or anxiety or any other mental health disorder including bipolar, schizo affective disorder, borderline personality disorder, etc. to enroll in the program. It truly helps! I also made some lifelong friends who don't judge me due to my condition. It was so refreshing to meet people who didn't stigmatize me because they could relate.

That’s all I know. Millions of Americans suffer from addiction. Yet, many people are unaware that addiction is a disease. Pace,Lauren and my saviorBridgette have helped me to rid the shackles of addiction. I was a slave to addiction of all sorts not just drugs and alcohol for 40 plus years. I look in the mirror today and for the first time in my life and I see a righteousness man who finally loves who I am and found a life never thought possible. I walk around every day higher then I've ever been and it's all natural. They told me not to quit before the miracle and I said what possible miracle,I now know what they meant..Thanks for never giving up on me and showing me unconditional love.....Much love always! The scars of my past may dictate who I am but in no way do they have to dictate my journey nor my destination!!!!!!!
