As a homeless Veteran from Indiana leaving an abusive marriage I asked the VA for help for housing. I was on the list for a 1 bedroom apartment and was approved within 3 months with move in date 3 months later. I have nothing bad to say about my stay there. RCA and its facilitors were exceptional. Intake and discharge was streamlined and efficient. A variety of flexible groups and speakers were scheduled weekly. Educational classes regarding medications and planning for discharge are also available. The facility provides lesiure activities such as fishing, recovery walks, and a gym. Facility was well maintained and clean. A variety of meals are offered for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a night snack. Substitute protein options are also available. RCA will meet and exceed expectations and provide all one needs for a successful recovery.

My stay at RCA Bracebridge was truly life-changing. This was my first experience in rehab, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded everything I could have imagined. The groups were both educational and life-changing, providing valuable knowledge and tools that I can carry with me throughout my recovery. The staff were exceptionally supportive, caring, and informative. It was comforting to know that someone was always there whenever I needed help or support. My therapist, Jessica V., is amazing, and I will never forget her. Mr. Dan, Mike H., Mrs. Jessie, and Mrs. Amber were also incredibly supportive and generously shared their knowledge and experience, which made a meaningful difference in my recovery. The RSS staff were outstanding, and words cannot fully express my gratitude for everything they did. The kitchen staff, especially Eric, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. That support allowed us to focus on what mattered most—our recovery. Mr. Tariq always listened and showed genuine care and compassion toward the clients. His kindness and willingness to be there for us meant a lot. I will forever be grateful to RCA Bracebridge for helping save my life and giving me the coping skills and tools I need to continue recovering one day at a time. Ashley Treatment Center offers a genuinely strong overall recovery program in many ways. The campus is beautiful, peaceful, and clearly designed to support healing. The food is excellent and far better than you would expect. My loved one is sad to miss the daily menu. The facility also accepts a wide variety of insurances, and we are thankful that our insurance covered the entire program. Most importantly, the majority of the staff were kind, supportive, and professional, and my loved one had positive interactions with nearly everyone he encountered. Except one. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by one therapist: Donna J. While the rest of the staff showed compassion and skill, Donna repeatedly treated my family member with disrespect. She told him to “stop exaggerating” during a session where he was emotionally dysregulated; she raised her voice and even waived her finger in his face on another occasion. Instead of de-escalating emotional moments (as a counselor in a treatment center should) she often escalated them further, making sessions more distressing rather than therapeutic. During the one visitation family members are allowed (something to be addressed later in this review), I spoke with several of Donna’s patients who shared similar concerns. Some had successfully been transferred to different therapists, but for reasons never explained, Ashley would not allow my loved one to transfer, leaving him stuck with this dynamic for the entirety of the program. Even as he was leaving, Donna chose to interact negatively, asking him what he wrote about her on the exit survey, and when he said he chose not to leave comments, she called him a “jive turkey”. It was unprofessional and frankly a bizarre way to end a month-long treatment stay. I later learned that earlier in the year, she had been recognized as a finalist for having the “greatest percentage increase in clients’ Global Recovery Scores.” While that sounds impressive, it can also simply mean someone started at the bottom and improved from there, a Most-Improved Player award, if you will. Based on our experience, this recognition does not reflect her ability to work with emotionally dysregulated individuals or those in vulnerable stages of recovery. Outside of this one staff member, my loved one had no issues with any of the other 50+ employees he interacted with. The rest of the team was consistently supportive and very helpful to him. A few additional notes for families considering Ashley: • The 28-day program includes only one visitation weekend, during week three. • The cost is steep: $1000 for one visitor, plus $500 each for each up to two additional visitors. • Scholarships do exist, though they are not advertised. I requested one and received a 75% discount, but the application process required extensive documentation, similar to applying for government assistance. • The two-day family program is well-intentioned and has a thoughtful schedule, but the execution felt uneven. There were long stretches were the staff were disengaged or unclear about next steps, and I would have appreciated more active guidance and interaction. Overall: Ashley Treatment Center offers a strong program, excellent environment, and mostly wonderful staff. But the experience with Donna was deeply harmful and inconsistent with the quality of care provided by the rest of the team. Families should be aware of the visitation costs and be prepared to advocate firmly if a therapist mismatch occurs.

Maryland recovery definitely has an amazing program. Like anything in recovery you have to be open to change. The councilors to the coordinator are all amazing they give u as much information as possible while giving the tools to succeed. All the employees have been thru addiction and that matters they have been thru the trenches of addiction and have been successful with their recovery and are very supportive of whatever u have going on. I had a few options after detox/rehab for a step down program to continue working on my recovery. I am very happy that I chose to go to MRP. From the initial assessment to my next step afterwards, I was supported and involved with every single part of this process. Kim was my counselor and she treated me like I was her own son. She helped open up and talk about things that have been such a struggle for me my whole life. The groups were very informative and enjoyable at the same time. As much as we worked on our recovery, we also had a lot of fun while I was there. We went bowling, to the movies and fishing when the weather permitted. I am so thankful for every single staff member who helped me with everything that I needed. I was so nervous on my way there but that feeling disappeared as soon as I stepped in the door. I was a bit sad to leave but I was also very excited to move on to the next chapter of my life. Again thank you MRP, I appreciate y’all so much.

I have been on methadone maintenance for a long time over 15 years. Most of my experience was with BD Health in baltimore. Once I changed to medmark my eyes were open to a whole new way of treatment. Before when I was at BD I felt like I was just a gas and go paycheck. I never got counseling. The treatment plans were just bullshitted. Here at medmark my counselor Mary is extremely helpful. Over the course of the time that I've been there she has realized what works best with us when we do our counseling sessions. She realizes that I do not have too many outlets so she lets me open the floodgates and for my heart out to her and it's always judgment free. I can tell that she is on my side 100%. Also the front staff Miss Cindy is absolutely amazing. She is completely professional extremely helpful to answer any questions. I also want to compliment the nursing staff. They have always been extremely polite and extremely professional. I'm extremely grateful to be getting my treatment at medmark. Thank you

This is a great place to be if you need help. I have been coming here for all most 2 years. Everyone here is so caring, kind, nice & friendly. I never had an issue with the staff. There are rules we all must follow for all the nay sayers. I leave MEDMARK BELCAMP with a happy feeling that someone cares for me. They are all good people.

The sessions were helpful and gave me tools and perspective that I will continue to carry with me. If you’re looking for a recovery house to give you a great foundation for long-term recovery Homecoming projects is the house for you. I went to The Homecoming project right after turning 23. It was my first sober living home out of a 30 day program. I have been able to sustain almost 7 years of sobriety. Homecoming not only provided me a strong foundation for my recovery but continues to go far beyond supporting me after the house to be the best version of myself and the mother to my son who is now almost 9 years old. MeadowWood kept my family member from self-harm and saw them through a crisis. I am very grateful. Now further treatment will be initiated. MeadowWood can not "fix" damaged people in a few weeks. I believe negative reviews come from people who have no idea what a mental hospital is or does. Of course it is unpleasant; it is full of people who can not control themselves. Personal items must be taken away; family members would be the first to sue if a patient harmed themself. Most likely the staff takes an incredible amount of abuse; God bless them everyday for showing up, and for caring.

Turning Corners has helped me tremendously! I was struggling with addiction and a friend said I should give this place a shot. I'm very happy that I did, as I've now been on the road to Recovery for almost 19 months. Pat and the staff are friendly and professional, and Pat is extremely knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience in the partial hospital program at the Orchards. When I first came to the program I was extremely depressed and all I could think about were negative thoughts. The LCSW who ran the PHP program, Stephanie, was beyond amazing and provided educational sessions on how to combat negative self talk, CBD, EMDR, and anxiety reducing techniques. I would highly recommend anyone struggling with depression or anxiety or any other mental health disorder including bipolar, schizo affective disorder, borderline personality disorder, etc. to enroll in the program. It truly helps! I also made some lifelong friends who don't judge me due to my condition. It was so refreshing to meet people who didn't stigmatize me because they could relate.

My outpatient experience was very helpful in time of crisis. Found the group sessions very helpful and tailored to my needs. The staff is phenomenal and very helpful.

Listen if you want it to work IT WORK but when you come in time and time E again with dirty pee and your not taking it seriously then how do you think your gonnna get treated. Then instead of wasting time on someone who just doesn’t want the help they turn there attention to the people that do want a better life. Like I said if you want to get clean they will help you with housing, jobs, etc but if you don’t then leave it at that don’t turn around and put a bad review or put down the people who tried to help you but you but you couldn’t even meet them 10% of the way GROW UP

Truthfully I have had Good and bad experience''s it's kind of hard for me to say because my counselors are Amazing absolutely Amazing, But I've had some really bad incidents with nursing staff and not one incident was actually my fault but the fault was still tried to be blamed on me but because they have such a Great Supervisor I think she is Garnisha she looked into those incidents right away for me because I had my counselors that had my back so I was never written up for anything I really appreciate the help I had in those situations getting to the truth .The front staff and security guards are Great they get alot of flack from clients but if you ever sit there for any amount of time you will come to realize there just doing there job and they really do try to do it as friendly as possible for all the grief they get that's definitely not there fault .Bree has caught on so quick and she's a real sweetheart and Miss Anna I Miss Very Much I really WISH SHE COULD COME BACK TO WORK BUT DO TO MEDICAL ISSUES I DON'T THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO I HOPE IF SHE EVER SEES THIS SHE KNOWS I MISS HER AND MY GRANDSON FINALLY CAME HOME AFTER ALMOST 2 AND A HALF YEARS IN THE HOSPITAL FROM THE DAY HE WAS BORN EXTREMELY PREMATURE,SHE WOULD ALWAYS ASK ABOUT HIM .I MISS YOU AND PETE HE WAS AN AMAZING COUNSELOR THAT HAD TO LEAVE I WISH I GOT TO SAY GOODBYE TO HIM BEFORE HE DID ...BUT MY LIFE HAS CHANGED IN SO MANY GREAT WAYS REACHING GOALS AND HAVING COUNSELORS THAT ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME AND I KNOW THEY DO BECAUSE 3 MOTHS LATER THEY ACTUALLY REMEMBERED A CO WORKER OF MINES NAME WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FINALLY SOMEONE THAT DOESNT JUST TALK TO ME BUT REALLY HEARS ME THAT IS A FIRST IN MY LIFETIME...AND THATS THE TRUTH ..!!!!
