My overall experience at Indiana Center for Recovery has been phenomenal! The staff is really caring and the program provides so many different forms/types of therapies. You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. Parkdale didn’t just help me continue my recovery, they helped me to continue to find myself again. They believed in me, held space for my pain, and gave me the tools and encouragement to continue to rise stronger than I ever thought possible.
From the leadership to the support staff, everyone at Parkdale exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to healing. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. These two, and so many others at Parkdale (like Dr. Chris, Denise, Ty, David) restored my faith in people and reminded me that recovery is possible when you’re surrounded by those who genuinely care.
Parkdale is the best at what they do because they combine clinical excellence with human connection. Their program isn’t just about sobriety, it’s about rebuilding your life with dignity, strength, and purpose. If someone I love ever needed help, Parkdale is the place I would trust.

Having used their facilities for our Union members and for a family member, the counselors are caring, responsive, and communicate very well on a treatment plan and objectives & goals. Ms Tori awesome!!!!! The group meetings and accountability for each other in treatment works in a great atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this facility if a friend, co-worker, and family members are in need of help with addictions and/or mental health. JOCELYN is the reason I will no longer be donating to YWCA North Central Indiana after approximately a YEAR of consistently donating BRAND-NEW clothing from my fashion business.
I own a fashion business, and I regularly have brand-new clothing that I cannot use due to sizing, incorrect orders, overstock, etc. Instead of letting perfectly good clothing go to waste, I’ve been donating these items to YWCA North Central Indiana so women and girls who need them can benefit. These are not old, worn-out clothes—they are BRAND-NEW, quality fashion items.
For about a year, I have been allowed to drop these donations off. My husband will literally carry the bags inside the building and leave them where instructed. Because I run a business, I cannot always accommodate extremely limited or specific donation drop-off times, and this has never been an issue before.
Today, I spoke with JOCELYN and explained this. I told her I’ve been donating this way for approximately a year and that my husband could bring the bags directly inside. I was NOT asking anyone to stop what they were doing and sort through the clothing. All I needed was for someone to receive the bags and put them to the side until the appropriate person was available.
JOCELYN told me that she thought it would be better for me to FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO DONATE MY CLOTHES.
So that is exactly what I will do.
And honestly, the unfortunate part is that JOCELYN is not the person who would have benefited from these clothes. The women and girls receiving them would have. I’m sure many of them would have appreciated having access to brand-new clothing.
I completely understand having policies and limited staffing. What I do not understand is turning away someone who has consistently donated brand-new merchandise for approximately a year when I wasn’t even asking anyone to process or sort the donation immediately.
After supporting this organization for a year, being told by JOCELYN to simply find somewhere else to donate was extremely disappointing. I will gladly take my future donations to an organization that actually wants them and appreciates consistent community support.

I had never been as depressed as I was in those few months and I have delt with depression almost my entire life. I really didn’t believe I could be helped, but I tried for my children’s sake as my oldest son had already lost his father to reckless decisions.
Brandy saved my life, she has continuously encouraged me and never judged me even when most would have. She has not only been one of the best phycologists I have ever met, she has also been a good friend. She has helped to guide me in the right direction and been there through every up and every down I’ve had over this past 7 years, despite my many screw ups she has never made me feel as though I was just a mess, she really saved my life, I can not stress this enough.
If you do the work on yourself and actually use the program and take the advice given, this place can and will help. You also have to be patient and understand you are not the only client being worked with.

A variety of psychological doctors and therapists. They offer addiction help, including groups and drug testing. On-site pharmacy. They treat both adolescents and adults. Offering many groups for clients wanting to meet new people and learn about their lives or interests. Group homes for those in the community that just need a little more structure.

I had been with Madison center before they were oaklawn I loved my mindfulness group not so much my med doctor my therapist Brenda chupp was awesome then I ended my services in 2015 cause I thought I felt better I was wrong.Icame back to oaklawn and did one group for about 5 weeks then I quit the group cause it was uncomfortable for me but I did get the same medication Dr.and I am in individual therapy and my therapist Monica koontz is a wonderful understanding helpful professional young lady.she reminds me of Brenda chupp.so a huge thank you Brenda chupp.I believe this time I am in a better place in my life then I was in 2015 because I am doing the work and listening more and experiencing more techniques in therapy.U would recommend oaklawn.believe in yourself your goals and do the work.i have make many changes and accomplished so much.thank you oaklawn I rate you 20 stars.

I used to be an inpatient at Borgess 1 North, and the unit was alright. If you complied with medications, group, and individual therapy, things did seem to get a lot easier. In order for inpatient care to really make a strong impact, I feel like the person being treated needs to want to better themselves. Other than that, the adolescent unit really made a positive change in my life.
