I am not sure how to start this review off besides saying Alina Lodge is the reason I am alive, sober, successful, and truly happy. When I entered Alina Lodge I was a shell of a person I had accepted the fact that I was going to die and was unwilling to give up my addiction. I will forever be grateful for the extended time I spent at Alina Lodge, I needed every second of it. Today I am not only 4 years sober but I am able to be a daughter, a wife, a sister, an aunt, and a friend which never would have been possible without Alina Lodge. I cannot thank the Little Hill Foundation enough for giving me my life back.

New Pathway has been the best experience in my recovery. The way the program is run is different than any other iop. The counselors train you physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol!
On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

My Mom was brought there with an aneurysm at the end of October, and even though she didn't make it, I would like to say thank you to every person there. From Doctor to Nurse to orderly or any other employee walking in the hallway that was polite, helpful, informative, you really helped our transition be a little less painful. My daughter had a wonderful experience at the Breast Center! The nurse Renee T. was very compassionate and held my daughter's hand with reassurance and care. I had such a wonderful experience during my labor and delivery stay at Morristown Medical. From the moment I arrived at the admission desk to the incredible care I received from every nurse, pediatric doctor, OBGYN, tech, nursery staff member, and even housekeeping—everyone was exceptionally kind, accommodating, and supportive across both day and night shifts. We delivered our baby on a very busy night, yet our entire stay was absolutely perfect. This place changed my life. I have spent the last 10 years rotating different treatment centers and nothing had a more profound and permanent impact on my recovery than water gap.
From every aspect their treatment and experience is the best in class. A lot of the staff / psychiatrists have experienced addiction or mental health challenges in some capacity and to be supported in my recovery process by others who have REAL, lived experience and aren't just college educated / textbook informed academics trying to cure people of problems and challenges they can't relate to or understand from within is just one component of what makes Watergap so unique and so effective. The staff are not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable, but they have a perspective on recovery and healing that you can share and relate to with them, I think this also contributes to how caring the staff are, they really all take such a personal and deep interest in your recovery vs this just being a way to pay the bills and put their degree to use (which I have seen at many places).
Beyond the staff and recovery approach being incredible and also unique, the grounds are absolutely stunning with world class amenities. The natural beauty surrounding the facility allows your mind and soul to really connect with nature in the healing process and there are also such a wide range of amenities it feels like being at a luxury resort. From a massage/spa room, hiking in the beautiful Poconos mountains, group yoga and meditation, themed dinner nights, a glass sun room for yoga sessions, a beautiful golf course, daily hikes, a swimming pool - there are endless ways at Watergate to stay constantly entertained, distracted, challenged and inspired.

One Year Later: A Heartfelt Thank You
It’s hard to believe it’s been one year since I was admitted to Water Gap Wellness. Looking back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for how far I’ve come. Today, I’m thriving in my profession, deeply connected to my family and friends, and—most importantly—healthy in every sense of the word.
From humble beginnings, I now wake up to a life filled with possibilities, choices, and hope. That transformation didn’t happen overnight—and it didn’t happen alone. The support, compassion, and guidance I received during my time in treatment will stay with me forever.

By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It’s not just all about the medication, it’s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we’re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything’s going well. I’ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Phenomenal organization that truly cares about its patients recovery and were so helpful in my daughter's treatment, she is better off now from where she was when she first went in. Its been 3 weeks since I completed the 28 day program on (August 5, 2025) at Alina Lodge . From the moment I arrived (July 8, 2025)I felt comfortable and safe. THIS PLACE NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE IT ALSO BROUGHT LIFE BACK TO ME MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY! The program they have is great and I learned more and more about addiction but even more so about myself. The staff there are great , kind, loving amd compassionate. They are there to help and as long as you ask for that help you will get it . The environment was amazing given the space and time to recover and reflect on each group session. My favorite spot to sit and reflect was in the gazebo close the the river . The food was great each meal was also good and filling. Now at 48 days clean today 8/25/2025 i feel so great my life has improved dramatically! Thanks to the wrok i put it and the structure of Alina Lodge!!! I love you guys and thank you for helping me regain traction in my life I will be forever grateful!

Going to the Livingston GenPsych was one of the best things I have ever done for myself - if not the best thing I have ever done for myself. The therapists there are incredible - Julie, Charlotte, Mike, Kayla, Eric are all fantastic, incredible people who have changed so many lives including my own. They truly care. The office receptionist, Provy, is a queen and a kind, friendly face who instantly makes you feel safe and the security guard, Max, is a gem as well. It is such a great, loving place and it is what you make it. The DBT program saved my life - it is hard, but give yourself up to it. :)

I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. We found getting registered and placed with someone easy and accommodating. Kelly is AMAZING! I have not had positive experiences in the past with therapists, but she is the absolute best. She's "real," she listens, she is amazing at planning a session but also pivoting if necessary. This program changed my life for the better. I found myself in the position of needing a higher level of care but didn’t know where to turn. Luckily, I had help and support in finding High Focus Parsippany. The program is structured very well. I can honestly say that between the individual sessions and the group sessions, I learned so many new coping skills and so much more about how to better myself. All the employees are so caring and genuinely want to see you get better. I learned a lot from other participants in the program as well. Andrew is the absolute best. He validated, yet challenged me, better than any therapist ever has. He helped me in ways that will continue to have a positive impact on me, for the rest of my life. Excellent program! The connections I made with all the clinicians/interns in only a few months was amazing, and helped me progress to where I am today (Special shout out to my clinician, Andrew, for making sure I'm okay always and helping me through some tough times!) The new building is beautiful, lots of light and windows as opposed to the old center. Thank you, Sylvia, for making me laugh at the times I wanted to cry, humor is much needed. Overall the program was a great experience for me personally. if you're ready to commit to a program and really put in the work, this is an amazing place to be. Our tween recently completed the PHP program at High Focus Centers in Parsippany, and we felt compelled to share what truly sets this program apart. While the clinical care was strong for our son, the hidden gem of this program is the weekly Family Group counseling sessions for parents!
Facilitated by John, who cares deeply about the well-being of the parents as much as the teens, these virtual sessions have been an invaluable lifeline. They create a safe, supportive space where families can share, listen, and learn from each other. We found ourselves looking forward to these meetings—not only to gain insight and guidance, but also to support others at different points in their own journeys.
