I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed.
Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run.
As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again.
A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.".
How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt.

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. I’m talking about food, shelter and even information about great jobs. I started working, got a place to rest my and made great friend for life. Thank you so much, Evie.

Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st.
I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me.
I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS.
There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need.
The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them.
You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind!
Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers.
I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts.

( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog)
And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes
She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony!
But I'm betting she would do it for free
No fear y'all this place is absolutely what you make it.

I dont know what the complaints, are every time I go here, they're prompt in helping me get around, medication delivered, appointments set up, transportation to and from the VA for my appointments and more. This is by far better than the one I used to go to Charlotte. Being the district one it definitely gets the job done, far better than my community care at Atrium does in Winston-Salem. This place is and has been alert, responsive and helpful thoroughly for the 10+ years I go and call with questions needing help.

I am new to using the VA health care and I have had a bad last 12 months. In that time I had tremendous loss, of my wife, my mom, and my mother in - law. My health had taken a bad turn for the worse and I has switched fully to the VA. The whole team there was amazing, and if I left anyone out I am so sorry. My care team will remember me as the guy with the broken heart (literally). This is my longest list of thank yous ever. This should tell you what an amazing team you have and they all deserve some recognition and lots of high fives. If I forgot anyone, I am sorry. Here are the most amazing people on your team that made me feel comfortable after losing trust in Doctors when my wife died of cancer in another city last year. From the ER Drs and and nurses to the Intensive Care team. P.A. Whitney, My cariologist Dr. Lucero, Theresa, Dr Allison Reno. My guardian angel nurses Becky, Alan, Nick, Nurse Whitney, Joyce, and Karl. My sincerest and deepest appreciation goes out to them, their care and kindness was above and beyond. Counselors are both great , especially Kasey . All the BHTs are phenomenal and many are in recovery themselves making them very personable with great stories to tell. 3 meals a day and they always make sure you’re ok . Nurses available 24/7. Overall great care. 10/10, would recommend!

I have been going here for a year now and I have had no problems. The difference in Mcleod and otherr clincs is Mcleod is really set up to help you succeed. If you come to people as people and treat the staff with respect and understanding, they will do the same for you. I have dosed at the other clinic in Gastonia before I came to Mcleod and I prefer Mcleod 100 percent. Staff really does care here about your life and your recovery. Abby is wonderful and will do whatever she can to help you if you have a problem, the nurses are all nice and polite, the front desk ladies are always friendly and smiling (even at 5 am), my counselor is great, and the peer support staff (Karen) is wonderful as well. So like the other review said, " you get what you put in,." If you want to have a better quality of life and become and maintain your soberity, go to Mcleod, they have everything there to help you get where you need.

Where do I start, first let me say finding mental health help for my husband was an extreme challenge being that he doesn't have true substance abuse issues. However, when I was placed in contact with Harmony Recovery Center OMG! Ms. Evelyn Contacted me, and she had done all the leg work on her side and let me know in detail all that was needed from me to get my husband admitted. Needless to say, the transition was smoother than butter! In a matter of hours not days he was in! They stayed in contact with us through our travels. The staff was super welcoming and supportive! Honestly Ms. Evelyn has made this whole experience for me one of comfort and ease! It's never easy to leave the ones you love in the hands or care of strangers whether they are professionals or not, but Evelyn took all that away with her kindness, willingness to go above and beyond, her compassion, her empathy. If you are considering treatment my suggestion is to RUN, don't walk to CCR. The facility itself is the cleanest, brightest, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff, I mean every single staff member is here cheering you on and there to support, educate, and make your sobriety a reality. I am treated as family and know that my life has been forever changed for the better because of CCR. I am also so thankful that their support will continue for a lifetime!

This facility has been so good to me from the beginning, but I have particularly loved being in PHP. Once you reach housing, the neighborhood is a short drive to CCR's campus which you will be directly transported to and from each day. I've enjoyed relaxing at the house after programming, attending meetings, and eating dinner with my own little housing family. It's amazing the people you will meet and bond with throughout your time in treatment! I felt safe here and shared a lot of quality time with my own home and the neighboring houses for the men. CCR can help you financially to pay for groceries. You'll feel a lot more independence as you baby step back into "the real world." Kendra, the house manager, has your back and will take care of you (plus she is so much fun). Rebecca has been amazing with getting me set up for my future sober living to call home! Highly recommend CCR and staying for the entire program.

If you put in the work and do the next right thing this place can save your life. You just have to keep to yourself and stay out of drama. And be patient and ready. The only thing that I disliked was the curfew even if working was 12pm . And not being able to have your own food. Everything else was great.

This teeatmemt center is so different to ones ive been to in the past. They treat you like the human being you are not a number. All the counselors are amazing. If your assigned counselor is occupied and you need to talk, they all listen. If you work your program correctly you can make great improvements with the skills and support you are giving here. Queen City Treatment Center is fabulous! I definitely want to give a shout out to all the nurses because they all are angels on earth! The counselors are amazing, the nurses have the best "bedside manner", they're SO SO SO nice and Miss Phyllis, who I believe it's kind of like a receptionist but does SO SO much more and she is a sweetheart!!! Transferred from McLeod Center to QCTC over a year and a half ago and the difference is night and day. I had nothing but issues with McLeod and they did everything possible to screw me out of my levels....went from having to go every single day to now I get monthly take home, which is a great help since I'm physically disabled...

Hello Everyone! While I am not recovering from any drugs or alcohol, I found a new service with Daymark Recovery Center! Medicaid services are very hard to find or have outrageous waiting periods. My plan assigned me a Care Manager Extender to assist me finding care. Her name is Antoinette. I went from my local dental surgeon who wouldn't even put me on his months long waiting list to a dental center that had me in and out within two hours in less than two days! This is hands down the best facility. I initally came here on vacation after going through a terrible loss. I was not aware the rules very from state to state and i thought i could same day guest dose.... that was absolutely not the case. Afyer calling every clinic in the triad area i came accoss Rowan Treatment Associates. The women who answered the phone was the most understanding kind women. I explained that i was vusiting from St. Petersburg, Florida and thought i could same day guest dose. I told her i hadnt had my medication that day and way bliwn off by every other clinic. I couldnt drive, with my young daughter, the 12 hrs back home without my medication, it was just impossible and not at all safe. She completely understood and went to speak with their doctor. Minutes later she told me if i could be there in the next 2 hrs and my councilor was able to send my paperwork they would dose me. I was in shock. The doctor worked with my doctor in Florida to figure out how to make my split dose into a dose that would sustain me for the duration I needed, since north carolina does not do split doses. The doctor, nurse and counselors stayed two hours after close just to make sure that I was able to dose. No other clinic in the world would have done what these people did. They also made sure i was able to get my normal take homes so I would not be rushed back to my home clinic. These people went above and beyond. I ended up moving here a few weeks later. They were thrilled to see me back. After the way i was treated everywhere else, and then the exceptional treatment i recieved from them i would never consider going anywhere else. Even though it was more than an hour drive each way. The transfer to this clinic was seemless, i had jo issues. There is zero judgement here, only help. The director Renita is absolutely fabulous. She's a strong, no nonsense, follow the rules and you'll do great, kind of person, but is compassionate and always greats you with a smile. You can see in the way the clinic runs and the employees interactions with her, that they respect her, and that truly cares about the clinic. She always greats me with a smile and says hello everytime she sees me, no matter how busy she is, and she is ALWAYS busy. That means something. I have never seen a director care about THE PATIENTS like she does. She always allows them to come in and speak with her, no appointment needed, which I have never seen in the 20 years I have been on this medication and the 3 different clinics I have attended. I have driven more than an hour each way for over 4.5 years, when other clinics were much closer, because of the level of care and understanding these people provide. My councilor Holly is the sweetest, kindest person and is always excited to hear about how I am doing. She treats you more like a friend would, not a patient. I love our monthly check ins. The nurses have the hardest job yet they are always happy and joking around with each other. Which shows me it's a happy work environment. If you are looking for a way to unburden yourself from your issues with controlled substances, or on it for pain management like I am, this is the place to go. Believe me I have had my issues now and then, at no fault of the clinic, but they have ALWAYS been addressed and resolved by Renita. I am so thankful I found a place where I can get my medication with no drama. No politics and just live a happy NORMAL life. So thank you to all the people that make this place run the way it does, that come in every day to make sure we are OK and can live normal lives. You will never understand how what you do truly effects people's quality of life. Thank you, truly, I am so very grateful for all you do!

I understand we all made a mistake to get here. But when I say there is no judgements, there is none. I came in as most will "man this is going to suck", but when I tell you its nothing near what you think. Complete open fourm,transparency, and understanding. Not to mention you can feel the love. Im so excited to be a few class away from completing, yet so sad, because I won't be attending anymore.
We all make mistakes, but this place let's you know they not only understand but can relate to the root cause and want nothing else but to see you grow.
