New Season has been phenomenal. I have been going since Feb 9th 2026 and I’ve started tapering down to eventually be off the MAT program. It truly saved my life. Aiesha is a wonderful, caring nurse. Reggie is my most favorite window doser and Preston runs the facility properly and always has a warm smile when you see him. I tell them all the time I wish I would have made the decision sooner to go to New Season. Thank you to the New Season team for all their care and compassion in this journey.💚

I honestly cannot say enough good things about New Season and the amazing people who work there. This facility has played such an important role in my recovery journey and has helped me not only get sober, but stay sober. From the very beginning, I was treated with compassion, respect, and understanding. The staff truly care about the people they serve, and they never made me feel judged for my past or the struggles I was facing. They helped me see that recovery was possible and gave me the support, guidance, and tools I needed to begin building a better life. I am so grateful for the role New Season has played in my recovery. I have now been sober since November 29, 2022, and I honestly don’t know where I would be today without the help and support I received there. New Season gave me hope when I needed it most, and I will always be grateful for that. If you are struggling with addiction and are thinking about getting help, please know that recovery is possible. Taking that first step can be scary, but New Season helped me take mine—and it changed my life. I will forever be thankful to the staff and everyone who has supported me along the way. 💙

Greensboro, North Carolina makes up the Piedmont Triad, along with High Point and Winston-Salem. Since 2005 Crossroads has provided specialized opioid addiction care to over 25,000 people monthly across nine states. Crossroads of Greensboro, NC welcomes adults seeking recovery. They accept self-pay, multiple private insurers, Medicaid and Medicare.
All the Staff at Crossroads is very professional, respectful and compassionate to everyone, all the time. There should be more places like the Crossroads facility on Church Street. I believe more people would stay clean if more facilities were more like it, and more staff were as wonderful as they are at Crossroads.

This place really helped me get on my feet. And believed in me, when nobody else did the only issue I have is the hoops. You have to jump through just to get two take homes then, after you get the weekend, take homes. It takes forever to get any more even when your passing your drug screens not only that now, big lack of communication.I almost got my take homes taken from me twice all because they didn't look on my chart to see that the doctor was prescribing vyvanse a medication that was causing me to test positive for amphetamines once they got that figured out it was alright But it was just time for me to move on. I went to brightview, and now I got a week's worth of take home a lot more freedom to do things I wanna do not being tied down to going there every day. I will still continue to go there for my mental health. Medications, because genuinely these people are amazing thank you so much, everybody at greensboro ADS love y'all so much, just because I'm not going there. Every day, well I mean doesn't mean I won't be there. Every month and from my counseling sessions

This was my first experience. I got there on Thurs (good security). I was checked my nurse, talked to a counselor, & the doctor can't see me until next Mon (it's a long time). Doctor wasn't there on Monday? Apparently, doctors are there Tuesday and Wednesday only. Otherwise, I'd have to wait another week (another stretch). It's clean. No one else there at the time.

update! STILL clean!!! still love metro-and completely credit them for my sobriety… reading these words i wrote years ago brought genuine tears to my eyes. they saved me This place has saved my life. When I arrived I had nothing and no one. I was doing over a gram of heroin a day, I was homeless. I had done some things and had things done to me that I think back on now and can’t believe I survived it. But metro and my counselors helped me become myself again. I had forgotten how funny I was and how much I loved to read and draw. I forgot how much I loved to travel and eat!! I forgot who I was and metro reminded me that I was a real person who deserved a good life. I d had two counselors both have played such a huge roll in my life. Preston has been at metro for years first as a wonderful security guard (who saved me once when I passed out when pregnant due to dehydration) and to this day we talk nearly every day now that he’s my counselor!! Sometimes we talk about life always about sobriety but also the happiness of how far I’ve come. All the things I didn’t think I deserved, metro helped me erase that thinking and then helped me push for everything I’ve always wanted. I want to say I haven’t touched heroin in over 5 years thanks to the help of metro and my counselors. They encouraged me to get clean and get a job that I’ve now finished school for and have now become a certified eye technician studying to become a COA. I’ve been able to take my daughter on vacations and keep a beautiful roof over our heads. Metro even helped repair my relationship with my family... with my permission even brought my mother in so we could all talk privately and give my mother more understanding of a world she knew nothing about other than drugs taking her daughter away. Metro is my safe place. I’ve shed tears, laughter, sadness and happiness under that roof. I got better in that building and it will always have such a special place in my heart. Thank you metro for teaching me that I deserve to have a happy sober life.

Since my son receives therapy and medication management here, I’m here on a weekly basis. The main entrance is on the right side of the buildings. When you walk in, there is the main waiting room with the receptionist area to check in. There are a few books and magazines to dad while waiting. Children’s artwork decorate the walls in addition to the required documents that need to be posted. There is an additional waiting room in another straight to the back when you walk in. That is the best waiting room if you’re there for medication management, which is virtual. The receptionist, Jill, is super friendly! Wait times for scheduled appointments can vary. Overall, not bad.

I am a 2018 graduate, on May 18th I will be 2 years sober after being in addiction for 11 years. Before coming to Freedom House my children told my mom that they didn’t want to live with me anymore and so my mom took them firom me (Thank God!!). My life was useless and I was on a quick one way street to death!! My heart was soo heavy and I literally had no hope left - I felt so worthless and carried so much shame!! It makes me cry thinking about it - But Praise GOD!!! I have been redeemed and my life has been completely transformed in a way I cannot describe — Not only is the chain of addiction broken but the chains of shame and worthlessness are gone as well!!! I now have strong, growing relationship with my children and a job that allows me to take care of my kids independently! I can’t fully describe the amount of freedom I have received from Christ through Freedom House!! They were my only hope and boy did they come through!!! <3

It’s a real gift to be relatable to young people and be able to guide them to a life of integrity. My son was completely lost before coming to Insight. He has been living a sober life and working a twelve step program and has a relationship with God. I can see that he is working through his issues and learning to deal with daily life as it is. Our family is changing and growing, and I see him for the brave person he is. He has a strong support system and plenty of sober friends to have fun with. The Insight Program is forever in my heart.

In light of a number of reviewers that have decided to detail their experience in ways that proclaim their victimhood, I'd like to preface my review by saying that the Insight Program is a voluntary program. Meaning that the recipient of the service must consent to any services provided and that he/she/they has the option to relieve themselves of said service at any given time. For any newcomers brought here by word of mouth, referral, or perhaps a desperate search for hope, I'd like to caution you from extracting truth from reviews that presume the contrary. You'll find a common theme in reviews such as these: unsubstantiated blame and an absolute shamelessness to be seen as the victim. While these words might appear to come from a place of bitterness and resentment, I assure you it's the opposite. Many of those reviewers, and their beneficiaries, represent some of my first friends when I was lucky enough to join the program. I was 18, trying my hand at college, struggling to maintain a romantic relationship, overwhelmed by life outside of home and pretending that taking Xanax and synthetic opiates for breakfast was normal (among other peculiar justifications). I had struggled with drugs and alcohol abuse prior to this, but I hadn't yet experienced loneliness and stress to this extent. Shortly after my second semester at school I overdosed and was sent to a behavioral health unit. My parents were as supportive and afraid as they were distraught. After deciding to return to Greensboro, my mom, the hero in this story, reached out to an old friend who was a parent involved in the parent group of the program. My first 2 months of IOP services were unbearable. I won't parrot my resentful friends and suggest it was because of the staff, the hours, the meetings, the suggestions or some form of unholy, sadistic indoctrination of cult-like ideology; my level of misery was in direct proportion to my unwillingness to take responsibility for the man I chose to be and the life I chose to create. The more it was "your" fault, the worse I felt. With that being said, not only do I understand the place from which the malice found in these negative reviews was born, I was another couple years of victimization and unwillingness to confront my reality from writing my own hate-filled review. Today I have 8 years sober, approaching 9. My experience with Insight has been absolutely wonderful in every way. It would be naïve to suggest that I was incapable of getting sober anywhere else, but from where I stand now, I have a very difficult time imagining anywhere better than the Insight Program. Here are a few things I'm lucky enough to have in my life today that I wouldn't have without my recovery. I have an absolutely incredible relationship with my parents that I thought was never possible (mostly thanks to the Parent Program at Insight). I laugh a lot. I have goals and aspirations. I have a group of friends that I would do anything for, and I know the feeling is mutual. I'm still learning how to budget... I haven't sincerely considered taking a drink or using a drug in a very, very long time. And I genuinely love my life today. However, I don't want to create the impression that this has been "easy" or that as soon as I got sober my problems melted away. I have plenty of feelings that I still respond poorly to, I have a host of character traits that aren't pretty when brought to the light of day, sometimes I let fear dictate my actions and I still need help. The quality of my recovery, and lack thereof, is 100% up to me and the results aren't without work. However, what's abundantly clear to me is that the work is worth it. I'm eternally grateful for all of the people at Insight who made my experience so wonderful.

I was discharged from the hospital yesterday after a seven day stay. I am a heart patient, and was suffering from pneumonia. I am especially grateful for the wonderful care given to me by nurses Midora Roberts, Vickie Few, Charlene Harris, and Tara Page. There were others on the fourth floor just as noteworthy, however these are the nurses whose names I can easily recall. I was not pleased with the walking test to qualify for oxygen I was given upon my exit, but other than that and everyone in the world’s opinion of hospital food in general, my stay was as pleasant as can be expected.

Very helpful friendly group sessions and down to Earth counseling. Definitely the way to go if you find yourself in these unfortunate circumstances.

I absolutely love this place and the staff here. This place saved my life. If you're looking for a place where you can fose and still go get high and no one call you out for it than this is absolutely not the place for you!! If your looking to get clean and actually put in the hard work needed to get and stay clean and sober than this is the place for you. Your not just treated like a number or lost cause here. The staff get to know you and they care about you. But they aren't going pat your butt and say it's everyone else's fault your here. I've been to other clinics where you nothing but a number and no one really and truly cares. Insight is not one of those places. If your truly serious about getting clean and staying clean then please do yourself a favor and come to Insight. I've been clean for 7 years now and it is bc of the staff at Insight.

Services for substance abuse treatment are provided by Triad Psychiatric and Counseling Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Their patient centered approach places a strong emphasis on treating co-occurring depression, anxiety and many other mental health conditions to the highest standards possible. It seems to be a new, very popular practice to charge patients for no shows. I get this! If you make an appointment, keep it; if there’s an emergency or something to keep you from getting to your appointment, call the office and reschedule, so someone else can take your spot. Why is this a problem? I had an appointment this year, came out to my garage, and found a flat tire on my car. I called the office and told them my issue, my therapist trusted that my problem was valid, as I never missed an appointment! It was not an issue. I’ve been going to therapy there for several years. The initial intake appointment was scheduled quickly, and my assignment to a therapist was done expeditiously. Because the need for therapy has expanded exponentially since Covid-19, and recent political “shenanigans” it is hard to get appointments at most practices. I have never had any problems scheduling appointments with Rebecca, and regular med checks with Brittany. I get a text and email from the office a week in advance of each appointment; I can confirm my appointment or reschedule it via the text or email link. It’s easy, reliable, and efficient. I schedule my next appointment the same day I see my therapist, and put it on my calendar, so I don’t schedule anything else that day and time. I find their check in process to be easy, predictable, and friendly. The people in the front office understand why we are there; they see a lot; they hear a lot; every day can be challenging for each of us. They saved my life, and I appreciate everyone at Triad.

I was nervous having read the reviews after scheduling my appointment. Either they have made significant improvements or people are just way too harsh/picky? The staff and Drs have been great so far. No complaints, has been a great experience so far.

I have been seeing Dr. Lisa P. for almost 12 years now and even though I’ve moved away, I still travel just to go to my appointments because good Doctors are hard to come by these days! She has always been kind, honest and upfront with me and has helped me in ways I couldn’t even begin to thank her for! I highly recommend this practice…
