But The Ridge staff and their support program made it a very compassionate, Informative, and a truly helpful process. The accommodations were excellent. I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. The staff there was second to none in terms of optimism, great attitude and a cheery nature of sorts, but at the same time, very much realistic. From the behavioral therapists, to the nurses station, right down to lunch ladies, an absolutely amazing group of individuals who walk with one while on their journey. This is one of those moments. My sister completes treatment tomorrow, and I cannot let this milestone pass without expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire team who cared for her. After more than 30 years of substance use and countless experiences with treatment, this is the first time my sister has successfully completed a treatment program. That alone makes tomorrow incredibly meaningful for our family. But what means even more to me is knowing that she was not simply treated for her substance use disorder she was cared for as a whole person. She entered treatment with serious and critical health concerns that required attention, advocacy, and compassionate care. Those concerns were recognized and addressed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure her health and safety were not overlooked, and that her needs were treated with the dignity and seriousness they deserved. As someone who works professionally in the SUD field, I know how much goes into helping someone reach this point. I understand the importance of consistency, compassion, boundaries, clinical skill, medical attention, and perhaps most importantly having people who continue to see the person underneath the addiction. But as her sister, I experienced something even more personal... relief and hope. For the first time in a very long time, my family could breathe a little easier knowing she was somewhere safe, seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Recovery is not easy. Thirty years of addiction does not disappear in a month. Completing treatment does not mean the journey is over. But completing treatment after decades of struggle is a tremendous accomplishment, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. The encouragement and coordinated care for her discharge planning was imperative. This was executed with precision as well. To every person who played a part in her care, thank you. Thank you for showing up for her. Thank you for taking her health concerns seriously. Thank you for seeing beyond her history and recognizing the person she still was underneath all of it. In that time, I have received many of the services that Lindner has to offer, from rapid access, to inpatient, to residential, to PHP, to outpatient therapy and psychiatry. I wanted to leave a review in case anyone is in a place where they really need help, to highly recommend the Lindner Center. It has been completely transformational for me and a large part of the reason I have been able to recover from and now maintain my mental health since my diagnosis. The providers I have seen genuinely care about me and are extremely knowledgeable. The organization as a whole also truly cares about the health and wellbeing of its patients and community, frequently putting on free events to educate people on mental health. They’ve even had a patient advisory committee to seek patient input on their decisions. I have always been helped quickly, whether that’s with admission or getting on someone’s schedule rapidly to get the care I need in the moment I need it. I have even received financial assistance that one of the providers helped secure for me. Providers at LCOH throughly assessed and confirmed a confusing and difficult diagnosis for me, and worked with me over the years to find the right medication regimen for where I was at during each phase since my initial episode(s). The individual counseling and group DBT/other group work I participated in allowed me to work through a lot of damage and acquire skills to rebuild my life. Has every employee I’ve interacted with or every day/single activity of a service I ever received been 100% perfect? Of course not, but mental health is extremely difficult to treat, and the staff certainly deals with a lot each day. The VAST majority of my experiences have been OVERWHELMINGLY positive and I would expect-as with anything else in life-to have some moments where I am a little disappointed. I have no doubt that every provider I’ve worked with has had my best interest in mind, and I trust the care plans laid out for me. My therapist has truly been a life saver for me and I plan to keep my medication management and counseling with the Lindner Center indefinitely. Please try this place out if you are struggling! I also like the fact that there's a pharmacy right there inside. I've been using Eastway's Pharmacy since they opened up. I definitely like that your meds can be delivered to your front door IF you have No Way of getting to the Eastway building. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. I hope you can enjoy the care and staff there. Everyone there is a happy, pleasant person. I LOVE EASTWAY!!! The ONLY way I'll go somewhere else is IF they close their doors. The rollercoaster of emotions that I was going through finally ended when I became a client at Eastway. At first I didn't like it there because of TWO case managers they Always had a funky attitude towards me and dismissed the fact that I'm there for Mental Health. I'm getting treatment for my Bipolar Disorder. Looking back I'm Glad that I got help from them. IF I didn't make the first appointment to go there, I HIGHLY DOUBT I would be alive right now making this post. Eastway is the one facility that I recommend EVERYONE to go to for Mental Health. I have been using this facility for a year now and its been nothing but a positive experience. Staff and doctors have been helpful, understanding, and have provided top notch care. This facility provides care for everything possible and if they cant fit you in they will refer you out to community care. The nursing education sessions were highly informative, and the psychiatric staff was incredibly understanding and helpful in identifying my specific needs. They provide fantastic strategies and tools that (when put into practice) have transformed by how I go about my life. My only concern involves some of the front desk and auxiliary staff. Interactions with them sometimes made it feel like patient needs were being disregarded. This was never personally; but anecdotally I noticed issues around accessibility needs not being met. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. Harry 2 years ago I’m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don’t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program. Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I’ve been familiar with it for over 15 years . I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program . Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up. They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it’s “ the thought that counts.” With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis. I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision. I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years. Not everyone will be able to go to the same location so it’s sad that they have to split up like they are . I thought the bldg on Daruma was a great location & near the bus line as well.
