I feel much better about my care since switching to the Lorain outpatient clinic, from another NE Ohio clinic. I hate having to drive further for appointments, but my PC has done more for me than my previous doctor, helped me figure out why my back hurts and the gentleman I saw at physical therapy helped my nerve pain less severe and frequent with one visit and simple exercises instead of more medicine. I would like recognition to go to Dr. Ashley Kenzik for her superior work in treating my diabetes. I was taking 3 shots of Novolog and 2 shots of Lantus per day along with a weekly shot of Ozembic. I now take solely one shot of Ozembic per week. And with the Ozembic my weight has gone from 305 to 258. In my opinion, one could not ask for a better physician than Dr. Kenzik. 08/14/25, this is to bring recognition to Dr. Pileski and Norma Thomas. I went to the civilian ER this morning for swelling in my calf and both feet. Doctor said I needed a certain medication asap and sent prescription to civilian pharmacy. Couldn't get hold of them all day. Norma called me to check on my status, and when I informed her of the situation she put in to have that med. shipped overnight. Can always trust the VA.

Do not go here. They never call you back. It is a horrible place the Drs will reschedule on you but still bill your insurance. Then when you try to go somewhere else and need your medical rep from them they will charge you 30 dollars to get them.

Urgent Update:
I have a medically challenged son who attended this facility for a while, and the experience was horrendous. They change counselors and case managers like putting on a pair of shoes and taking them off, which means my son could never connect with anyone. The staff here is horrible and not recommended at all.
Note: I believe they work with the court systems, so they won't lose any money by putting people on probation and feeding them the pharmaceutical companies' dream drugs. This place is a nightmare clinic!
Health, unwellness, and uncaring is what you’ll find here. The staff turnover is high, and they do not candy-coat it. Once you're assigned to a specific person, they have already left, using the center as a stepping stone to a better medical facility.
The Charak Center is where they get you in, get you out, and don’t listen to your needs. Their focus is on how much Medicaid cash crop they can reap.
**Urgent! Please look at other review sites like Yelp. This center is lucky they got one star.**
During our visits, we spent a long time in the lobby. They have a colorful sign for schizophrenia that you end up staring at every time you visit. It’s a shame that this is the kind of environment they provide for those in need of genuine care.
Although we haven’t been there for probably five years, the negative impact of our experience still lingers. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about their care???????

They have doctors and case management, they are getting my son's mother in and helping her where no one else could for months she's even missed an appointment and they still got her in right away, she is an extreme case, but I've never seen someone go so far to help somebody, and I would recommend them to anybody it reminds me of what the Nord center used to be like 20 years ago.

They transport my daughter daily to a adult center. They are so efficient, they contact me nightly to let me know who is picking her up and what time they will be arriving. The drivers will either text or call me 10 minutes ahead to be ready for pickup. Great staff they have, they go beyond the call if duty. My daughter thinks Paul and Leon are the best.

I had bariatric sleeve gastrectomy surgery here in 2013 . Fabulous 😍🤩 staff, patient care was superior to any hospital I have ever been in. I would recommend the bariatric center for any obese person who is determined to change her/his life for a healthy, active,fit, longevity plan.

I think my experience was a lot different than other woman as I've read the reviews so I decided to leave a review to tell my experience. I was in patient in 2013 and at first didn't love it, but realized soon after that I needed it. Rehab isn't supposed to be glamorous it's supposed to be something you remember to never do again. I went there and found a new way of life. I'm thankful for my 2nd chance. They showed me how to live again without the use of drugs or alcohol. They even took me to appointments when they usually have you schedule someone to come get you. I didn't have anyone!! I only had myself and that was hard enough. I thank God this facility is there and was able to help me get clean.

It's a lil janky compared to other options in Lorain county. When it comes to options to be able to being your child you want to choose here over Hitchcock. Staff is pretty cool only one or two are unfriendly. Everyone there wants to just see you succeed. Only getting 4 stars because all of Lorain county is shut down from a snow storm and they think it's a bright idea to pile children into a van to take them to class. It's negligent to only think of money over children. A lot of us don't have a choice to be there when it's open due to housing or other commitments other wise we would definitely keep our children safe at home instead of braving this storm.

I have mixed reviews. When it was the Nord Center, I had two very negative experiences. When I was in crisis mode I went to the emergency shelter spot and told them that I needed to check myself in because I was very upset my emotions were high but I did not want to harm anyone or myself. And the guy at the door was winking at me and asked me if I was suicidal and told me that I needed to say yes in order to get in so I almost spent the night in my car because I was facing homelessness at the time. I was having problems with my relatives and my blood pressure was sky high I should have gone to the emergency room and had somebody that was much more understanding about how I was feeling. The other time was when I was taking a medication that was causing a side effect but it was also making me feel like it was an addiction to it and I didn't have any of my pills because they were at my daughter's and she refused to allow me access to them. I was out and did not have anything else to back me up then when I came in to talk to the nurse my blood pressure was sky high just like the other time and she told me she wasn't going to check it because that's exactly what I did not need to do since it would be high and it wouldn't make a difference but she never said anything that would deescalate my emotional state she made me feel worse than I was already. The medicine was prescribed by them but for some reason she wouldn't give them to me and there was no reason for her to do that. When you go to a place that you need help from you shouldn't be turned away because of the way they make you feel you're supposed to be able to feel better when you talk to them not worse. Not having the coping skills that I just now obtained I can look back and say that I wish I had never gone there. However two very good things I could say was that when I did finally get into a place and I needed to make a deposit the caseworker named Sharon was there to help me she even showed up and made the deposit in person she met me wherever I was at she been over backwards to make sure that I was taken care of and Sarah from quest vocations she helped me get a job she helped me with my resume and help me with all my applications I finally got hired and despite an accident happening with my second job that I got hired through my first job I got hired on my own but it was a performance-based job which I could not be fast enough at. However Jeremy was there to talk me through every time where I had problems with dealing with the management and for that I was grateful.

In addition, my provider Angal, is patient, knowledgeable and compassionate with my needs. Everyone on the third floor is incredible !!!!! From therapy to legal advice they go above and beyond to help - I had a very difficult time in my life and was left with NOTHING - received therapy and the advocates attempted court with me since I had nobody and I simply needed someone in my corner.
The second floor on the other hand isn’t really kind and act more like a bother when you have questions.

I don’t write too many reviews, but I used to go to the signature health pharmacy in Willoughby and switched over to the Painesville pharmacy probably about a year ago maybe a little more and I have to say the customer service at this pharmacy is outstanding. They have helped me through so many issues and just recently When a prior authorization hadn’t gone through not only were they kind and understanding but also super attentive to the situation! The man, I wish I knew his name, went out of his way to call me and let me know that everything was taken care of. A stressful situation made so much better by the employees! I see Tanya Fox as a psych NP at Ravenwood, and she is a complete godsend. She spent so much time and effort with me to reach a diagnosis, when I first showed up a year ago feeling upset and uncertain about everything. She is very patient, sympathetic, and reassuring. She’s great at listening to you and adapting to your concerns. She does a wonderful job at answering your questions and making sure you feel good about your treatment plan. She’s very welcoming, approachable, and available. She clearly is very knowledgeable and has well-thought-out Plan A’s, Plan B’s, (etc. as needed) so you can always stay hopeful. I just cannot say enough nice things about her. I’m so glad I found her.
