I was here when I was 14 in 2022. I was at a very low point in my life, not wanting to be alive anymore. Embark was a very nice place. 99% of the staff were very kind and caring. The facility was very nice, and the food was pretty good. I didn't like being there, but looking back it wasn't too bad. I was transferred to a long term facility after 2 months at Embark. That is where I entered the world of The Troubled Teen Industry in Utah. I was not placed at one of the embark facilities there, rather an ROP program. But, it's important to know every single facility in Utah is BAD. Embark at the Poconos or one of their other locations far away from Utah is the exception. Embark at the Poconos was like a vacation compared to the other places I was sent. While I don't think you should send your child ANYWHERE unless absolutely necessary, it should be here if needed. I have heard bad things from friends who went to the embark locations in Utah. But, this one was pretty good. That being said, I thank embark at the Poconos for always treating me with compassion. Almost 3 years later, I am accepted to college for nursing and on track to graduate.

Embark had highly trained people who were so supportive to our whole family during our child's stay. We saw significance differences in our kid's core beliefs, ability to pause and question assumptions, emotional regulation, and communication skills. It was amazing. I would highly recommend their program. The staff there are just great to work with.

Anyone that gave dats anything less than 5 stats did not take their recovery seriously and blames dats for their mistakes.
I've been attending for three years and i can't put into words how they've helped me. Both of my counselors I've had sine may 2020 "Lauren and especially sherry connelly" have done so much for me and I wouldn't be 3 years sober without them.

The reason I am giving as many stars as I am is because the office staff is amazing, the therapists (chelsea and virginia are AMAZING) know what they're doing and they're great with my kiddos. The old NP, Barb, was also GREAT with my daughter and was in the process of finding her the correct medicine that will work for her before we, without notice, were pulled from her schedule and put with someone else that goes by the name of Dr. Beth, or Elizabeth Finley. She was outrageously rude to my 13 year old, who has been suffering with mental health issues, and the last thing she needed was the advice of this 'dr', or lack thereof. Go to the therapists, you wont be disappointed. But stay far, far away from the new Dr. they have working there. She's terrible. Go literally anywhere else for medication.

choices was my first rehab clean good staff and program unfortunately didnt work for me the first time i then got pregnant went to another rehab and had to go on methadone i chose the choices clinic b.c im from hazleton and that was the nearest the drive sucks but after birth and 6 months i was able to receive take homes so only have to go 4 days instead of 7 the staff is awesome i love my counselor Ben and the meetings are also very nice ! methadone has helped me stay sober for a year now and i love it. the Dr is awesome & will work with your dose to get you stable if you have to pay out of pocket they are very good with working with you and also helping you find help i.e. medical assistance like im on thank god that now covers the cost for me ! i would deff recommend it to anyone obv you get drug tests no alcohol and very strict about not selling/ misusing methadone so dont ruin if you get accepted ! i also liked the rehab staff was nice and food was great ! rooms were also very nice

When I first came into clean slate, she truly listened to me, not just why I’m there, but as to what lead me to the point of life I was at and that meant a lot. I am only Reviewing Andrea because She is A Sweatheart. The other workers just stare in the office like they never seen anyone with Anxiety before! Phenomenal organization that truly cares about its patients recovery and were so helpful in my daughter's treatment, she is better off now from where she was when she first went in. It was not a perfect experience - there were several miscommunications that detracted from the recovery but their management owned all mistakes and missteps - Bill and Jen were especially forthcoming in this, something I appreciated. Most of the other staff were exemplary in their roles in supporting patients in their journey - want to especially recognize Amber as someone who exemplified the lodge's ideals of compassion and professionalism, she made a difference in my daughter's life.

Its been 3 weeks since I completed the 28 day program on (August 5, 2025) at Alina Lodge . From the moment I arrived (July 8, 2025)I felt comfortable and safe. THIS PLACE NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE IT ALSO BROUGHT LIFE BACK TO ME MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY! The program they have is great and I learned more and more about addiction but even more so about myself. The staff there are great , kind, loving amd compassionate. They are there to help and as long as you ask for that help you will get it . The environment was amazing given the space and time to recover and reflect on each group session. My favorite spot to sit and reflect was in the gazebo close the the river . The food was great each meal was also good and filling. Now at 48 days clean today 8/25/2025 i feel so great my life has improved dramatically! Thanks to the wrok i put it and the structure of Alina Lodge!!! I love you guys and thank you for helping me regain traction in my life I will be forever grateful!

Best rehab I’ve ever been too….all the techs there are great second and third shift and most of them are in recovery… there were many times I felt like I wasn’t going to make it when I left there and couldn’t sleep at night and tech Michaela on 3rd shift was always super helpful sharing her story with people…. I was able to relate to her so much because we have all been through similar things and I appreciate her talking to me all night and helping me whenever I needed it she really goes out of her way and isn’t there just for the money!! It really helped me stay sober shout out to Michaela!! Best tech on night shift

The staff and place are equally beautiful. The good hearted people always checked on my personal needs multiple times a day. The staff becomes your family. A staff member named Eric one night at 3am talked with me telling me his inspirational story and it helped me to feel better and keep going myself. The food is always good. Friday is all you can eat wings!!! This place helped me to love myself and recover who I am as a man not just from addiction. Living alone is something I will never do again because of going to Huntington creek isolation can’t exist. I have friends and family in the staff and community I was part of. Thank you

I just want to give a big Thank you to a select few staff members starting with Tiff "receptionist " she cares about everyone of us and ALWAYS goes above and beyond to do her job and anyone else's there but never gets recognized . I've heard several client say ,"If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here." That statement alone should speak for itself. This woman needs a raise and some acknowledgement. She always has a smile on her face and greets everyone of us with a smile and always asks how we are doing ( not just something to say she actually cares. If it wasn't for her Amanda my counselor and Jessica my CRS there I wouldn't be here today. They pushed and helped me get into a higher treatment center because I needed it. I would seriously be in a box by now if they hadn't helped me. I know I'm not the only one who can say this but Thank you ladies for your daily dedicated devotion to myself and the rest of us yall saved my life and continue to help us get through addiction and live a better life... It’s hard to believe it’s been one year since I was admitted to Water Gap Wellness. Looking back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for how far I’ve come. Today, I’m thriving in my profession, deeply connected to my family and friends, and—most importantly—healthy in every sense of the word.
From humble beginnings, I now wake up to a life filled with possibilities, choices, and hope. That transformation didn’t happen overnight—and it didn’t happen alone. The support, compassion, and guidance I received during my time in treatment will stay with me forever.
Water Gap wasn’t just a stop along the way—it was a turning point. A place where I learned how to heal, how to grow, and how to believe in myself again.
As I celebrate this anniversary, I want to share my deepest thanks with the staff and community at Water Gap Wellness. You helped me find my way, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

my one on one therapist was fine its just the entire rest of the company sucks.
the billing department either doesnt know how to pick up the phone or just gives a half assed response and the problem isnt resolved at all. theres literally 0 communication with them. even just trying to get my OWN documents is "confidential information". but its totally fine if another person in the group sessions can stream private information to their entire family. customer service side sucks too youd have more productive conversation with a brick wall then trying to get a word in with them
the outpatient program is awful too. please dont go here it isnt worth it at all. you do not get taught anything either. its basically like theyre talking to kindergarteners instead of fully grown adults.
genuinely please do not pick this place unless you want 0 communication outside of any sessions. this was one of the biggest wastes of my time and money that i will never get back.

Do not send your kids here, there was one great therapist there doing all the work. My daughter did not receive proper treatment nor guidance. The director of the facility and most of the staffing is unequipped to support proper treatment. The Schooling program cannot follow the school guided work to have your child be successful. I'm sorry we ever gave this place a chance. When things get tough all the director wants to do is quickly remove from program. These programs are designed to support kids with the highest level of support for their needs.

My 4yr old daughter and myself lived in fountain springs for 6months and I truly believe that without the lady's who run the facility i would have lost my daughter to cys. I'm 7yrs clean today and I still feel like fountain springs saved us. while we lived there my daughter had surgery to remove her tonsils and adnoids at potsville hospital and I was allowed to stay there with her and had special accommodations for a few days after.

My overall experience with Gaundenzia Fountian Springs was good, the Program help me obtain and maintain sobriety while learning about addiction and taking parenting workshops. This women's or Mommy&me program also helped me regain full custody of my 2 children because I worked the Program by putting my all into it, they put their all into helping me fight for my children back. I loved most of the counselors most of the time LOL. But it was a life changing experience that help me take control back of my life to create a better future for myself and my kids. There is also a women's and mommy&me soberliving housing program connected in the back called Gaundenzia New Destiny which bridges the gap after one completes the rehab. Very few programs that help families like this.... I wish there were more to help others who need and want it

My mom started rehab at this center about maybe 10 years ago. This rehab center is amazing! The fact that you can allow patients to have their kids with them and getting help at the same time is great! I’ll never forget what they did for me and my siblings and my mom. This rehab center is the best I’ve seen so far. Unfortunately I think I’ll be sending my mother back to this place.

As someone who recently left this facility (isn't my actual name), I don't agree with many of the reviews that I've seen. What I saw was a facility truly trying to help those who come in. Staff that would bend-over-backward to try to make people feel comfortable. They have a small staff, and a limited budget, and they go above and beyond places I've been that don't need to say the same. The rooms are clean everyday. The showers are great; let alone "not being able to clean your toothbrush". The place can be chaotic, but what would you call the people coming here in the first place? This isn't a spa; it's a place for sick people to get well, and they do their best to do that. I can't help but think a lot of these reviews are simply angry reviews by regularly angry people. It comes with the territory - we're people struggling. But I appreciate this place and the time I spent here; the staff and the effort they put in. The only credence I'll give is the minimal amount of contact to family had while here, but that doesn't equate to an unsafe environment and the allowance for people to make up whatever stories they want to about the place.
Anyway - to the staff of Hillside; thank you. You did a lot for me in my short time there. You actually pushed me to really think about getting into this line of work - helping people who are struggling as I still am, though improving everyday. Because of people like you, and places like Hillside

WDR was my first and hopefully last rehab. I didn’t really know what to expect but I can say this place and everyone who works there are top notch. From the kitchen staff to housekeeping. The nurse and techs cared more about my recovery than I did. They really try to work with you. My case worker Donna was the bomb and even though she was in charge of my case that didn’t stop any of the workers from helping me when I needed it. The techs have a story of their own and they really get it. No one was judge mental and they treated everyone like a human being. There isn’t one person who worked there that I wish I didn’t meet. I honestly wish I could have bought them all home with me. Even the community was awesome. Clients helping clients. I give WDR a 10+ on the rating skill. The director even steps in and got his hands dirty. It’s team work at its best. I honestly fought the program the whole time for my own reasons. A week later I’m still sober ❤️ Thanks WDR for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself you guys made a good impact on me and my family Loves y’all more. Good luck to anyone who joins this program you will not be disappointed ❤️💪

I can’t even begin to put into words how much East Coast Recovery helped change my life. This program gave me the foundation in which I am building upon today. Their team, each and every one of them taught me so many things while being so kind, caring, and supportive. They would also take us out for hikes, or the beach , and even bowling on Fridays after having the Friday lunch special! All you can eat pizza!! All positive activities ! All these things mixed with a supportive environment helped me to stay sober and want to stay sober. Thank you ECR! I loved it here n trust me when I first got here I wanted to leave so bad when I finished detox and went to the inpatient side I was trying to get other women to stat after detox, this placed saved my life and let me know it's possible! I celebrated a year on 12/8/17! Thank u for everything the staff is amazing, it's very locked down n strict so u focus on recovery n urself n nothing else . New Orefield facility is far, but there is a bus 5 out of 6 days and Sunday is closed so they supply a take home on Saturday as long as you have a lockbox.
The new facility is a HUGE step up! It's very clean, big and beautiful! All new staff seem amazing and the few older staff who stuck around were always amazing. This is the place you want to be if you're ready to get your life back. Don't forget 1 second think it's going to be easy though...
