I won t go into specific details of who is the patient but I ve been to many different behavioral health practices and this one by far as given me the most hope, the most reliable, professional staff and have made things better in so many ways. The office staff is absolutely the best. I haven t talked to all of the providers there in a session capacity but the 2 that I have are beyond awesome and all the others are friendly and I would feel comfortable as their patient as well. Holcomb has been a life saver. They actually care about you and what you are going through and they treat you with the upmost respect and are extremely helpful, caring and knowledgeable, they now have 2 Drs who can prescribe medication if needed and I have personally interacted with 4 different therapist and they are all just wonderful and help teach you the tools and coping skills to apply in your everyday routine

This place changed my life. I have spent the last 10 years rotating different treatment centers and nothing had a more profound and permanent impact on my recovery than water gap.
From every aspect their treatment and experience is the best in class. A lot of the staff / psychiatrists have experienced addiction or mental health challenges in some capacity and to be supported in my recovery process by others who have REAL, lived experience and aren't just college educated / textbook informed academics trying to cure people of problems and challenges they can't relate to or understand from within is just one component of what makes Watergap so unique and so effective. The staff are not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable, but they have a perspective on recovery and healing that you can share and relate to with them, I think this also contributes to how caring the staff are, they really all take such a personal and deep interest in your recovery vs this just being a way to pay the bills and put their degree to use (which I have seen at many places).
Beyond the staff and recovery approach being incredible and also unique, the grounds are absolutely stunning with world class amenities. The natural beauty surrounding the facility allows your mind and soul to really connect with nature in the healing process and there are also such a wide range of amenities it feels like being at a luxury resort. From a massage/spa room, hiking in the beautiful Poconos mountains, group yoga and meditation, themed dinner nights, a glass sun room for yoga sessions, a beautiful golf course, daily hikes, a swimming pool - there are endless ways at Watergate to stay constantly entertained, distracted, challenged and inspired.

I had surgery on Valentine s Day. What an absolutely amazing visit to St. Lukes. Not only was every single employee and nurse kind, friendly and showed patience with the patients, they were all kind and friendly to one another. I been on this Methadone Program about 7 years. I'm older n my addiction started in the 80's - Outpatient programs, then inpatient was a way of life off n on-over 20 yrs. This is my first time going to a clinic after being an active user for 18 years. I was previously receiving a different form of MAT from an online company and after three years with them, I finally decided to move on with my life instead of constantly feeling invalidated, unheard and just stuck. My entire life went on pause while being a patient at this other place. I had major surgery May of last year, which is when I joined the NEFHC community, & everyone was so kind to me and worked with me as I transitioned to different medications and healed from my surgery. I was not happy about the counselor I was assigned to at first, but then one of my greatest wishes came true and I was reassigned to the most amazing counselor I have EVER met. I pray with everything in me that she doesn't leave the facility. She has been my saving grace. & the director is absolutely wonderful and helped me through a very terrifying time back in November. I am just all around grateful for everyone at this facility and I would give 40+ stars if possible. This is the ONLY clinic I will be referring anyone to. Thank you so much NEFHC Team for working extra hard to be our sanity and helping to guide us through life after active addiction. I am forever grateful for each and every single one of you!

Dr. Jennifer Dailey (the Allentown VA Chiropractor) is absolutely THE BEST! I have seen over a dozen chiropractors since my service injury in 2012 and she is undoubtedly the one that has helped me regain quality of life, and reduce most of my pain. Dr. Dailey dug deep into my injuries with proper technique, she thinks outside the box to find solutions, she never cuts a corner when providing my adjustment, and she has supported me with at home tips and tricks to continue my healing. I used to have pain just walking and simply existing in my daily life, but because of her and her team, I am now able to become more active, have significantly less pain, and sleep uninterrupted throughout the night.If you are a veteran in pain, do yourself a favor and ask for her. WDR was my first and hopefully last rehab. I didn t really know what to expect but I can say this place and everyone who works there are top notch. From the kitchen staff to housekeeping. The nurse and techs cared more about my recovery than I did. They really try to work with you. My case worker Donna was the bomb and even though she was in charge of my case that didn t stop any of the workers from helping me when I needed it. The techs have a story of their own and they really get it. No one was judge mental and they treated everyone like a human being. There isn t one person who worked there that I wish I didn t meet. I honestly wish I could have bought them all home with me. Even the community was awesome. Clients helping clients. I give WDR a 10+ on the rating skill. The director even steps in and got his hands dirty. It s team work at its best. I honestly fought the program the whole time for my own reasons. A week later I m still sober Thanks WDR for believing in me even when I didn t believe in myself you guys made a good impact on me and my family Loves y all more. It was a life transforming experience for me. I learned so much. At the age of 62, I have been "On the Couch" a time or two. The atmosphere was down to earth. My experiences were "Real" experiences in Group Sessions and with my counselors... especially Alex and Christina.If you want to have a good chance of getting well? Try Pyramid...good folks...if you want to get help...There are some patient's as within other facilities, that are abiding with court orders...etc...ONLY. I get it. Some patients aren't ready to give it all up. And as reason would have it...gamble with their lives and those of others? We are all adults right? So fine...that's their choice....But if you really want to get better? Get with Pyramid. At the very least, will get you pointed in the right direction. Then it's all up to you...and that's easier said then done. Trust me...you will have to work to maintain your health. My time at pyramid gave me great insight into my reasons for my addiction. all of my councilors and support team were great and were quick to help when I had an issue.i've received the tools I need to rebuild my life and stay sober and productive. I would strongly recommend to persons struggling with what I have to seek help from this facility. I am looking forward to taking all I learned and applying it to a better life..

New Orefield facility is far, but there is a bus 5 out of 6 days and Sunday is closed so they supply a take home on Saturday as long as you have a lockbox.The new facility is a HUGE step up! It's very clean, big and beautiful! All new staff seem amazing and the few older staff who stuck around were always amazing. This is the place you want to be if you're ready to get your life back. Don't forget 1 second think it's going to be easy though...

This was my first experience with St. Luke s, and I was very impressed. After a bout with the norivirus and a fall at her nursing home in Schuylkill County, My 92-year-old mother was in bad shape with the virus, rhabdo, and pneumonia. This was her 3rd hospital in 24-hours as she needed a trauma center due to possible brain bleed. She arrived the eve of Jan. 9, and the ER doctors and nurses were AMAZING! Mom needed a TON of care, and they provided it with compassion AND explained everything to me in detail, which was very comforting. Eventually, she got a room upstairs, where we experienced the same level of professional care. I am convinced that the professionalism shown to mom over her five days there saved her life and her QUALITY of life. She is doing well! I am very grateful!
