Came to the Tennessee Valley VAMC 6 years ago and found it a very difficult system to navigate compared to other VAMC’s. The care is good once you’ve managed to navigate the system, but they really could do a lot better. Someone really needs to rebuild the community care system from the ground up!

Came to the TN VA system 5 years ago. I was complaining of being sick all the time and that my health was diminishing. The doctor crossed his arms and told me you’re not here to get better, you’re here to maintain and then dismissed me to the psychiatric official waiting outside the doctors office door. Fast fwd 11 months and I have an AFib event and spent 3 days in the hospital to where I was told I needed to see infectious disease. I went to the VA doctor again and he said I don’t see a reason to send you. Ignoring the specialists at the hospital. Fast fwd 9 more months after struggling to find insurance outside the VA to finally have an infectious disease appt. Found out that I was dealing with multiple parasitic infections (tapeworm, hookworm and threadworm) and an h pylori infection of my gut. I told the VA system 16 years ago I thought I was dealing with a worm infection as my hair, nails and skin were not healthy. They told me I was crazy and told me I either go on anti psychotic meds or be institutionalized. That messed up my head for 5 years since I was not psychotic. On top of that, 2 failed surgeries b/c the VA wouldn’t give me physical therapy for 3 months after having 2 reconstructive surgeries on my shoulder. This system needs people who care and not people who need a paycheck. If they would just help, veterans could get healthy again and contribute to society.

Some of my therapist have been AMAZING and some not so helpful I think my favorite therapist and the most helpful was Rebecca Stamps I miss her I wish I could still be on her case load. The therapists I have seen could be better I’m not going to bash their names and put it all over the place but I was told years ago that my therapist is supposed to make me feel better and they are supposed to help me but they weren’t really being that positive about things they made me feel like I was being scolded sort of it’s hard to explain how I feel but I don’t feel like they understand me at ALL and I put 5 stars because overall with CenterStone in general has been awesome at helping me it’s just the certain therapists that aren’t that helpful.I guess you just have to find the right person who understands you and I hope I can find that.

Today I'm celebrating another year clean, which I know would not be possible without the help I received from CADAS through The Scholze Center. On January 20, 2011, I found my rock bottom. 13 days later, I entered the The Scholze Center and the course of my life was forever altered. I will always consider this facility the place where a seed was planted in me. It's where I developed the desire to try something different. Take the drugs away, and I was still stuck with me. I was manipulative, pessimistic, co-dependant, amongst several other traits that made me difficult to deal with. And for the first time, I found adults who saw me for what I was, and treated me with dignity and respect regardless, while I sorted through the mess I had made of my life. I was greeted every morning and told goodnight every evening by adults who actually wanted to see us succeed, having been through similar struggles themselves. The Scholze Center was where I learned what it felt like to laugh again after years of trying to feel nothing at all. It's where I fell in love with sports again. It's where I confided in other girls for the first time on things I swore I would never tell another soul, just to find they held onto the same secrets. The Scholze Center is what you make of it. Just like anything in life, if you look for the negative, you'll find it. But for anyone searching through reviews as a parent or potential client, if you want a better life, The Scholze Center can help you start that journey. In 2014, I came back to The Scholze Center assisting with H&I (Hospitals and Institutions) bringing meetings to the facility. I returned again in 2021 and served as a technician. I've always found my way back to The Scholze Center because I believe in all the potential it has to offer. I was fortunate enough to be employed at the time Melanie Berg stepped into the role as program director. I have no doubt, the center is continuing to thrive in her hands. CADAS, thank you for continuing to invest in our youth. I wouldn't be here today without having experienced your program that planted the seed in me of a radical belief system that maybe I was still worth investing in and that maybe there was a bigger purpose for my life than what I had been settling for. -Erin Graves

My dark thoughts aren't me and she gave me a fighting chance to combat them. I had no idea that I was experiencing depression. I knew I was depressed but I didn't think it was chemical at all. Hixson Detox felt more like a healing home than a facility. Everything about it — from the calm space to the way the staff talked to you — made it easier to breathe again. They took the time to know me, not just my story, and that made all the difference. It was quiet, supportive, and honestly kind of cozy. I didn’t feel like I was in trouble there — I felt like I was getting back to myself. The help didn’t come with judgment — just care, patience, and a real plan to move forward. That place gave me peace when I needed it most.

Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

I graduated from the old facility many years ago and everything Mrs.Christy and other staff taught me, goes with me daily and gives me the tools to stay sober 1 more day. I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. Mrs. Angelia and cooking staff are top notch. The spread daily is over the top and delicious. The opposite of what I ate on the streets, if I ate at all. Good people, good places, helped save my life.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025. It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002. I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That’s a minor miracle in today’s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program. The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative. Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I’ve ever seen. I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery . The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise. The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooics Related to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience. Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage. It’s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me . The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7. All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety. They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that’s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together. Samaritan also has full Time clinical staff on site and Although I didn’t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady. Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan. I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs. And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library. Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit. My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff. If your curious how it happened - My story went like this…. I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier. Samaritan gave me every opportunity and more to build a strong foundation for long term sobriety. Truly grateful and cannot say enough about The programs and support I received at Samaritan Recovery. .

I’ve been here 3 times.PTSD, GAD, bipolar 1, depression and intrusive thoughts The food is not bad and they give out snacks between meals. I was in Adult unit them got moved to elderly, I’m only 54. Adult unit They allowed you to go to your room, some of the meds make you tired al tired. Imagine all theee geriatrics sitting in the group room falling asleep, The thing about the geriatric unit is they get you up at 6 for breakfast. Then your room was locked all day. That’s not cool. Maybe you have a headache and want to rest but that won’t happen. The nurse was a tyrant and would yell if your phone time was more than 10 minutes. I hope that nurse isn’t there anymore, she was awful and those seniors really needed to lie down. I don’t think I’ll go there again.

Brentwood Springs Detox is a leading drug and alcohol detox center in the south eastern part of Nashville, Tennessee.. The goal is to help you wean off addiction related toxins from your body and get it ready for the main therapy. Their medically supervised detox program helps you safely and effectively manage the physical symptoms of withdrawal.
I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through.

I have been a client with Georgia hope for a year now via zoom/teams teletherapy. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.

The clinic itself is clean and I have never had any serious issues with the staff but in 2020 I dislocated my shoulder and getting adequate care was pretty difficult. I still have problems with range of motion and a wrong move causes me pain still.

Mental health services has been great! Can't say that for PCP. I'm extremely anemic (blood work shows that) and can't get in until the 16th of January! Unfortunately, I don't have insurance so I can't afford to go anywhere else. Guess I'm not dead enough to get the care needed.

I had my first appointment today. I could not be more pleased with how much the staff cares about my mental health. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the nurse practitioner, they were all fantastic, pleasant, informative and really seemed to want to see me get the help I need to live a normal life. I am looking forward to my mental health healing journey with this practice.

My experience at Rolling Hills Hospital in Franklin, TN was truly life-changing. The entire staff worked together to create a safe, supportive environment. Therapists Lynndee and Becca were outstanding—compassionate, patient, and skilled at helping you open up and make real progress. The nursing team was attentive, respectful, and always willing to help, no matter how busy things were. The administration office was organized, understanding, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. I’m genuinely grateful for the care I received here and highly recommend Rolling Hills to anyone who needs real support and a place to heal.
