I had only been to 1 other treatment center (back in the 90's, it was 12 Step, secular recovery) The way I found S2L was by no doubt God doing for me what I couldn't do for myself. These ladies poured their hearts & souls into my spirit, reminding me of: who I am in Christ & who GOD is & how GOD sees me. I was only able to stay for 2 weeks due to health complications that were beyond S2L's capabilities. But what I can say is, after only 2 weeks, I came home to chaos with family & intense physical pain & I never once wanted to use alcohol or anything else to change the way I felt. The staff there are truly committed to the people they serve & unselfishly go out of their way to lift you up with the Word of God. I've been home for a little over a week now, my dad still hates me & I'm looking for somewhere to live with no clue how things will work out. However, I know Who is in control & I'm not worried about these things. I feel confident in Christ, he's always pursued me & has always provided. The only other things I want to add are: 1. like most all treatment centers there are strict rules to abide by, go in with an open mind. These rules are for your good. 2. Went to fix it and lo and behold 2 bottles of medicine are messing. Locked it in a cabinet while he was supposed to be under watch to blame it on my son. Contacting is dr and lawyer tomorrow. They were there when I needed them. Staff members were awesome, took the time to listen and understand my situation. Dr. M. Slatton, Dr. L. Atkinson, and case manager Grace Reynolds were my doctors, friends, and most of all my rock. My therapist Dr. Slatton was there to help me with my problems and mental health. Always gave the right advice. Dr. Atkinson made sure that my meds were right for me. And case manager Grace Reynolds has made sure that I had everything I needed to get and always asked if there was anything that she can help me with even if it was food transportation. Always had her heart to help me in any of my needs. Overall, my five years experience at this facility which includes staffs and personnel, it was excellent. She's thorough, she documents, she remembers details about your life, and care with her is very collaborative. She will absolutely use your input in making treatment decisions. Mallory really knows her stuff, and I recommend her to anyone who is trying to find the right regimen to manage their symptoms. It's also nice to see a psychiatric provider run like an actual medical office. I am very shocked to see all these bad reviews. My 16 year old daughter had a very difficult time with self harm and depression. We were seeing another mental health facility and went without a therapist for a bit and my daughter took a hand full of pills. I changed her to Generations because I saw how great they were with my client that I take care of. My daughter did a 360 after starting Generations. We absolutely love this place. I am on first name basis with all staff. We LOVE Ms Judy. And now all my kids go and so do I. They are not judgmental and they also stay optimistic and understand that some children fib. Way to go... She explained the discharge treatment plan and made sure I understood the information. I truly appreciated her communication and willingness to take the time to address my questions. Overall, I am grateful for the staff members who demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to providing good customer service. Area for Improvement: One concern I experienced was with the telephone system. On several occasions, someone would answer the phone and then hang up without speaking. Additionally, when I did call back the automated message stated that all staff were busy and instructed caller to press 1 for reception. This made it somewhat difficult to reach someone when assistance was needed. Improving the telephone response process and ensuring callers are connected appropriately would enhance the overall experience. Positivity 3 weeks ago they did have group therapy sessions. I'm glad I had the services. I'm not certain the social worker helped me. I did feel like I was in a jail. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit her, there. She was in really good spirits, elated to see her brother, her mom, and me. Caring for the mentally ill has to be one of the most difficult services to perform, wouldn't you think? I sure do. From what I saw yesterday, I am very glad that Trustpoint is willing to take on such a difficult task. The place was as "clean as a whistle." The staff was very knowledgeable about their procedures. They were courteous, helpful while at the same time there was an atmosphere of firmness. A good firmness.
