These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself! I read through the reviews, and I can assure you. Do not base your opinion of this place by the bad ones. If you are truly ready to make a change in your life. I promise, these folks will help you with being successful!

I’ve been going here for a little over 2 years I’m pretty sure I’ve been seeing McDaniels for 4. In the beginning of us going here my husband struggled with sobriety. I always felt comfortable talking to Becky about any of my concerns when it came to him. She knew I just wanted him to be sober with me. They never gave up on him & now he’s going on 2 years sober. We both love our therapists and feel like they genuinely care about us. If you are looking for a place to help you get and stay sober please consider this one. I promise you won’t regret it and you will make some sober friends & feel like you have a community of people behind you.

The staff where very understanding and alot of people dont understand they cant break there rules or they get fired they are they to watch over u and make sure your not harming yourself or somone else. They are not therapist. So they are not there to listen to your problems. I was there for a month straight and watched how they treated people. And no if you sign yourself in there is certain criteria u have to meet before u go home. And if said person was to read the paperwork they would be aware of that. You get fed, showers, clothes and help. So to leave bad reviews when half of the people came from worse situations if un needed

Returning to BrightHorizon Recovery felt very different from my first visit. Having been through their program before, I knew what to expect, but this time I noticed improvements in both the environment and staff approach. The therapy sessions were more tailored, and I felt deeper engagement with the counselors. I could see how my previous experience helped me navigate challenges faster and more confidently. The contrast between my first stay and this one was remarkable—progress felt tangible, and I left with a renewed sense of control and understanding of my recovery journey.

BrightHorizon’s got that top-shelf rehab energy — the kind of place where you can finally breathe, kick back, and actually focus on healing without all the chaos. It’s clean, quiet, and lowkey feels like a vacation spot… but with real help. The staff? Mad supportive. They treat you like a human, not just a patient with a clipboard.Detox is smooth — they don’t leave you hangin’ or suffering through it. They know how to keep you comfortable while you clear your head. And once you’re feelin’ steady, they help you start building your life back piece by piece. No fluff, no fake promises — just real care, luxury vibes, and a fresh start.

I stayed here for a convention after weighing the pros and cons of 5 hotels. I’m so glad I chose this one. I was remembered daily and treated with kindness. The staff at the bistro were very sweet, and the food was better than I expected. The cookie was a wonderful treat after a long day. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The shower was modern and clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable. I prefer a firmer bed, but after sleeping on rock hard hotel beds, I’m very happy with a plush mattress. No bugs, no mold, no weirdness. The rooms could be more sound proof, but it wasn’t worse than any other hotel I’ve been to. Overall it was a great stay and I will be staying here for my Charleston needs in the future!

The manager, Cindy, and her team, were extra extraordinary. We stay in these sorts of hotels all the time on our travels across the country. This particular Marriott was so much better than many others. Cindy went out of her way to be helpful to us. We had a car full of valuable items and were concerned about nighttime security. Cindy allowed us to use the space she ordinarily uses right outside the front door so that it could be seen by the nighttime security person. Who does that?!?! So thoughtful. We are staying in another Marriott property again tonight and it doesn’t hold a candle to the Charleston downtown Marriott. Thank you, Cindy!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and management at this Marriott, particularly the manager Ms. Cindy. I was on a road trip with my dad from NC to Detroit for a memorial and we stayed at this location going both ways. I thought I lost a pair of earrings that are very dear to me during my first stay. When passing through again, I inquired about a lost item and the front desk checked the lost & found, then Ms. Cindy personally called the maid that had cleaned the room and she even inquired with the couple who stayed in the room after me if they had seen my earrings. Thankfully I was mistaken and I had not lost the earrings, but Ms. Cindy demonstrated a high level of care and respect towards both myself and her staff that is rarely seen. I wish her and all of the staff at this Marriott location--which is very clean, nicely updated, and centrally located--all the best.
