I struggled with addiction and alcoholism for more than half of my life and have been to the point of no return it seemed. They really helped me to learn to control my emotions and cope with my triggers. The staff is awesome and very helpful as well as the counselors! This place is like everywhere else in the sense that if you don't want help, you're going to fail! So don't come here if you can't commit to helping yourself. I recommend this place to anyone who is serious about getting help! 5 stars from me!

This is a really good place if you are serious about wanting to recover. There is a lot of freedom In this program seeings you can leave everyday to work so I would say that this is not the best choice of program if you are coming straight off of the drugs you should pry go to a higher level of care first then here. When your on campus it is pretty structured not a lot of free time they definitely don’t just want your money as others have said they Hardily take anything that compare to the services and food and shelter they provide speaking of witch there is an amazing cook there Mike he prepares all the food which is of 5 star quality a lot of variety and always good. Staff really cares for you here they want to see you succeed really it all depends on what attitude you bring to the table that determines how sussceful and good your stay here will be. I got closer to God and learned a lot of His project on me. This is a refuge for women who are in need of God’s love due to life's problems. Remember he still loves you even at your worst!

They sent me to a place in Warrior, Alabama the day after I called, in a state bed, no insurance. Amazing medical staff and food. Beautiful place to start recovery.

I can't even describe what Bradford has done for me. It is the best place to start your life over, to find hope. I owe my life to this place.

When I arrived AT Bradford I thought there was no hope for me , they saved me and helped me get back my life ,it was my Fifth rehab when I got to Bradford I owe my life to them .Thank you for showing me the way home.

Leaving a review on purely the juvenile side. Firstly it does offer benefits and the staff do try to help you out to the extent of their ability to, though the amount of care or help you get is Highly dependent on what staff is working in your unit on that specific day so at times its iffy to say the least, they do offer schooling Wich is a plus. Laundry is done for you if you set it within a laundry basket at the end of the day Wich is also great as well as 3 meals Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner. and 3 snacks a day. You usually get put in a room with a roommate but if your a no roommate person (The reason you sent there usually) Decides if you are an no roommate person and not allowed to have one. Things this place needs... Firstly some roommates are disgusting and cant clean up after themselves and it unhygienic would be nice to have someone clean it out. Secondly more availability to people who CAN change things for example, medicine,room,portions of food. all of that and get your stuff brought in approved... because doctors are only available at certain times and you cant just sit down and talk when you want Wich kinda sucks but I do understand they have stuff to do. Thirdly from a patient perspective it seems sorta-kinda understaffed and like their underpaid sometimes by the way some staff just don't care.. you ask them for something and their dismissive or tell you to shut up. All and all if some issues are fixed and certain things are improved upon this could help more people in the future, I hope this review is taken into consideration and maybe things could be changed? like reviewing staff behavior towards the youth side. Dr. Cronin is very detailed and takes time to answer our questions. He’s good on picking up on moods. It shows that he cares about my mental health.

Dr Cronin at Bayview has been a blessing to me. The staff is so thoughtful, helpful and supportive of my needs.

My experience couldn't have been better! The nurses were attentive, helpful and wanted to care for the patients. I would like to thank everyone who took such great care of me while I was in this place, without doubt, you made my recovery process easier.

Dr.Gilliam took great care of my son on the 4th floor! She was absolutely amazing! Along with Sam from respiratory he is (awesome)! They both went above & beyond to make for sure he was improving before sending him home. Also I can't remember the young lady name that took him back quickly but she was amazing also. She has a beautiful voice and was singing my favorite Mariah Carey song lol. She also stopped by to see how he was doing before he was moved to the fourth floor. She checked his breathing and temperature I said I'm going to take him back now! The two ladies ( that were er doctors) and the guy that was his er nurse all amazing. Me and family greatly appreciate the service and care my son received.

I cannot describe how excellent level of care is that I receive here. Everyone is incredibly kind and empathetic. I am forever grateful for my therapist, Mary, and Catie, my PA. I would not be able to excel in life, much less function, without the care they have provided me. The receptionists are also always welcoming when I come in. The staff at AltaPointe organizes everything for me so that I don’t have to worry; I can focus on growth and healing. A huge thank you to the AltaPointe staff, and I would 10/10 would recommend receiving care here.

Leaving my old life felt like falling off a cliff. But here, I felt safe for the first time in years. The women-only setting helped me open up. Staff were kind and really listened. Some things felt a little strict, but I needed structure. I’m learning to trust myself again. I’m learning I deserve better. That’s everything.

I came in carrying a lot. PTSD, addiction, anger... all of it. The clinical team didn’t flinch. EMDR helped more than I expected and some vets in group really got me. The food was just ok, but the care was real. It wasn’t easy, but I left feeling stronger.

Honestly, I came in raw and terrified. But the staff didn’t treat me like a problem to fix. They gave me room to express myself, especially thru art. It was queer-inclusive, and I felt safe! I wish they’d had more gender-focused options, but still, something in me shifted here. It felt like a beginning, not an end.

I needed this treatment badly. I only wish it had been around years ago. I have now been out of prison for 9 years. Longer than ever before. I don't know what else I can say about the help I've gotten. And if feel you can't get off drugs. This is the best thing going right now.

I've gone here for years, so I've been through a few Dr's (due to me changing my day of the week or other) & more than a few front desk personnel. For the most part it's good, especially recently. They've become more reliable. It used to be hit & miss when it came to getting someone on the phone or getting a P.A. for your script. However I've still got a little PTSD from the horrors of the inconsistency before. It's a delicate business dealing w/ people in addiction & recovery so staff is & should be held to a higher standard. Dr. Seelye is very kind & understanding.

I struggled with drugs when I was younger and I finally found the structure I needed here. They had a routine and support that let me get my head clear and focus on actually getting better. The staff was down to earth and really cared. The place could use a few updates and this was all a few years ago but it was clean and the help they gave was solid. I’m thankful for how they helped me take steps forward and helped me get some structure at a turning point in my early years

I know most folks don’t really leave reviews unless they are upset about something or frustrated with their situation and I’m not sure how things have changed since I was there but I feel I need to give my experience as a patient in 2009-2010. As a child I was faced with neglect, abandonment, molestation, homelessness, mental illnesses, family hardships amongst a long list of other issues involving hoarding. I came to Baypoint after have tried to and almost successfully, kill myself. The state of Alabama took me into their care and placed me here to get my mental in order. I rejected every ounce of help they had to offer and honestly was little prick while I was there. I joined in willingly to fights to impress other kids and act out because I was refusing to listen to my therapist dr. Rene. With this amount of attitude I was placed in seclusion (as I should be!) to think about my actions. Yes I was physically restrained but in their defense I was swinging on everyone and everything. They were protecting themselves and I completely understand this now. As teenagers we all have a couple things in common and that is that we hate the body we are in and we lash out on everyone around us. Add in a few mental illnesses and you have a dangerous situation. The folks at this facility during my time tried their best to teach me how to channel my emotions and I brushed them off with feelings that they didn’t know how I felt and nothing they could do can help. Know that I’m 30 I can think back to every lesson I ever had and use the tools they instilled so long ago. Now as i think about the children that were in the wwasp programs, bay pointe was an excellent facility! They taught me how to wash my own clothes and keep a schedule. We would get allowances that we could use at the vending machine and when we went on our outings. Going out to the pond and seeing the turtles really made my day! When I expressed the therapeutic need to see the stars, the counselors found a time to allow those of us who wished to see them a few minutes outside at night once a week to give us this. We had rec time and I see that they have ankle monitors now which can make this more of a possibility. So many of us tried to run away and some accomplished this because we all refuse help when we have to give up things in order to be help. Then we think we are abused because we can’t have our way. Bay pointe provides recreation, 3 very tasty meals a day, adequate bedding and supervision with an appropriate amount of discipline. Just like in high school, the teachers can only do so much about bullying. It’s up to you as an individual to walk away and ignore it. You can’t avoid this even in work settings as adults. My overall review of this place is when we are kids everyone is out to get us but just like with playing a sport, if you don’t practice everyday, you get worse. Utilize every minute of this program and be there for you not friends. I know how hard it is as I was there for over a year but that was my fault for making it longer and continuing to be a prick. Be determined and this place can be very healing if you let it. Using the business education program they had I’ve used what I’ve learned there and am currently a proud business owner. As the parents of children who are in this system, be involved as much as you can! You can’t expect change if you do not change yourself. Accept that you are going to have to alter your way of life for your children even more than most and call out to family and friends who can also support you and your kid. This program takes a while to sink in but if you let it, it will open your eyes and help you see the small tweaks it made to help you be a better person and control your emotions. I was a patient here, and Summer is a really good therapist! And Dr. Hamilton helped me with my medication. This place really got my mental health back on track, and your children who need help with their mental stability would definitely benefit from going here!

My Son came back to us a Responsible, Christian Man. Able to stand on his own and pay his own bills for the first time in Many years. I Truly Know With All My Heart That AA&TC Saved My Son's Life! I will be eternally grateful for all the hard work they invested in my Son. I know he is in God's hands and I know he is a Christian. Everything about him changed for the better. Money could not buy the Blessings we have received or the life that was Saved! It was hard for us all to let go and let God, but that is exactly what had to happen to save my son's life. AA&TC knew exactly what he needed and what we needed as his family. If your son needs saving and you have realized that You can't save him. Call AA&TC because they can help him have a New Life! I just want to say that God and this program saved my sons life. He was headed down a very dark path of addiction and depression. I have prayed for YEARS for him to be free of his addiction. But I wasn’t giving God enough credit, so that’s when He showed me how big and strong He is. Not only did He help my son break free from his addictions, He saved him. My son now has a personal relationship with God. Prior to this my son even told me he wasn’t sure there WAS a God. He has now completed his year there, and not only did he get saved and baptized (his choice...not a requirement or demand) he has chosen to stay and become an intern to help others with the same issues. He has done some public speaking, giving his testimony (which is amazing considering the things he did...also amazing he lived through it). I always told him that God had plans for him bigger than he could imagine. I’m here to tell you PRAYERS WORK! But I only prayed for his freedom from addictions. Not only did God do that, he went a step further and convicted him of listening to degrading rap music and gave him a voice to use to tell of His mercy that is freely given for all of us. He feels led to help others in similar situations. Praise and Glory to Him!! No, this is not “forced religion” as the previous review suggested. This is a program that tells you that God loves each and every one of us the same and wants us to come to the altar and ask for His help. He loves us so much that He gave His Only begotten son to save each and every one of us. I thank God for this wonderful program!! Instead of celebrating my sons graduation and promotion to internship, I could easily have been burying him had it not been for this program and Gods mercy.
