Everyone is super nice and will work with you to get what you need. Went today to get my annual blood work done and the tech was amazing. Very skillful as I didn't even feel the usual pinch!
I just got home from a month treatment at this fabulous place! I cried, I didn’t want to leave! If you are someone serious, really serious about your recovery-and want as much knowledge as possible to treat the horrible disease of addiction-then you can’t go wrong going to Black Bear! As long as you’re willing to put in the work? This place is healing for the soul! I learned more about myself& my addiction in 30days than I’ve learned being somewhere 6mths! This program literally saved my life from a long road of drug and alcohol abuse. I had a rough start due to my inability to accept the true issues associated with addiction. This was in the mid-90s where the Hickey House offered me the last chance to find true recovery. Tom and Eliane were like 2nd parents in a time when addiction had kicked my butt, but with their loving and amazing ability to get at the root of addiction in a strong spiritual and professional manner. Thank GOD every day for this program and staff. I completed then a 2 year program and I can proudly attest to the effectiveness of their humanistic approach to living without drugs and alcohol. My stay at the hickey house was awesome! A very down to earth and in tune approach to recovery that gave me the chance I desperately needed to rebuild myself in an environment that was both nurturing and structured with strong basis on AA traditions and principles. The house has a great reputation in the local community and is involved in many different surrounding outside AA meetings . The part I liked most about it was the personal and accessible level staff and residents communicate . My comfort level was through the roof ,which in return allowed me to thrive in my recovery . I don't see a better place available for a person to get the tools to get sober and remain sober. I'd most definitely recommend this place to anyone who IS SERIOUS about giving their selves a chance at happiness in sobriety

I don't have firsthand experience with treatment here but I can say this is the only place in Toccoa including the "health department" where people are unashamed to talk about HIV prevention and harm reduction. I also know that the staff here go through a lot standing for what they believe is right including police harassment and intimidation for running a program that is 100 percent legal.

Staff seems to go out of their way to be helpful. Therapist is warm and easy to communicate with. A visit with her is a comforting experience.
I’ve been bringing my son to Avita for years, and he’s worked with several different counselors. Until recently, it always felt like a struggle just to get him to go, and I honestly started to lose hope.
Since he’s been seeing Daniel, everything is different. My son actually looks forward to his sessions now, which is something I never thought I’d say. Daniel connects with him in a way no one else has, and the progress we’re seeing is real.
What I appreciate most is that Daniel doesn’t just focus on my son—he involves the whole family. He challenges me too, and has helped me recognize ways I can support my son better. Because of that, our relationship feels healthier and less like a constant fight.
If you’re a parent who’s been discouraged with counseling in the past, I can’t recommend Daniel enough.

Needs some work with noticing when a client is living a lie!
I have been here 3 times. Once with my parents at 16, 2nd time around 2020, and finally back at it after moving back to GA. They are truly amazing and I have been there a year already and it's crazy how I'm finally getting the help I need. Dr. C is truly amazing and I adore him. And my therapist Andrea is outstanding. Even my caseworker Jessica goes above and beyond to help me with where I need to go and get done.

I have been going here since 2012, because I choose too. You don't have to go as long as myself, you go AT YOUR OWN PACE, WHATEVER IS BEST FOR YOU. My counselor Lisa is awesome. Jazzy is the best director that place has had also. If you are in the place in your life where you need to go to a treement center, this is a good one.

A great place,staff and wonderful doctor and I couldn’t ask for anything more, the doctor, counselor, receptionist, nurse, and anyone else I’ve forgotten (but not really forgotten !) make this place more welcoming than I can express …. I was scrolling the web and I always check the reviews of places I have physically been seen at. I'm a single father now and i havent been able to post as much as i'd like. When I saw some of the comments they really well....pissed me off. Dr Craddock is one of the most caring DR/Pshyciatrist i have encountered in my recovery. I started in 2008 in Seneca,SC and quickly moved to Recovery Concepts with Dr Craddock. Just to put it all plainly. There was never a time anything was offered to me that i didnt have to take the assesment for or bring up first. He never said try these THATS BULL. They don't just hand out any medications if they are deemed nessicary and you bring them up the administer an assesment on you and you may or may not have ADHD or anxiety. I in fact do have and will always have SUD, anxiety and adult ADHD. I will say it again for those in the back. He is a great DR/Pshciatrisrt but they dont make you take the medication and they certainlly dont bring it up. Hope this clears the BS away from him.

Mt Sinai was very helpful for my family and our loved one from start to finish. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming. We have been dealing with this for almost 10 years and Mt Sinai actually addressed his underlying issues for the first time ever. His therapist and Dr were very invested with us and I highly recommend anyone that reaches out to me to call them!

I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!

I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.

Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. I struggled with addiction for 20+ years. Thanks to southwest Carolina treatment center I’ve been clean for 4 years. Everyone at the clinic is nice. Sterling is down to earth and easy to talk to. He cares about the people he works with. He genuinely wants to know how you are doing. Everyone at the clinic is very helpful ,hopeful, and I get to feeling that they genuinely care about helping curve addiction in our community. 10/26/25 still using this same clinic, sterling is no longer there . Vick is my counselor now and he's awesome. He doesn't rush and takes the time to talk with me for as long as I need . This place saved my life literally. If you need help and have been unsuccessful at treatment several times please do yourself a favor and get to a clinic who offers out patient therapy.

My treatment plan through SWCTC saved my life. I'd never heard of methadone and a friend told me about it. I was in denial and had spent so much money and time finding drugs. My whole existence depended on getting my pills. I wanted to stop and prayed for a way. I've been clean for 22 years now. If you really want to stop, call SWCTC or a clinic near you to make an appointment so you too can get help without going through a horrific withdrawal.

SCAM!!SCAM!!! they alter drug test to keep you in the program longer
My wife was flown in to the hospital from Stephen’s County hospital because as SCH said MGMC resources are more extensive. My wife was a hairs breath from death. A team of doctors, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center took her case , operated and took care of her heart problems that had just manifested itself while at SCH. These skilled doctors saved her life and restored her health.
I am very grateful to the team of doctors and nurses that kept watch over her for the whole time she was there, four weeks mostly in ICU.
In my opinion this is the place to go for fast, efficient and empathetic care.
I thank each one on the team and those that helped them with their work.

I can't say enough good things about Knoxville Recovery Center. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for by everyone here—but I especially want to recognize David Moore. David was incredibly attentive and compassionate, always making sure I felt heard and supported every step of the way. I went to The Angel House and at first I hated it of course but once I realized that the ladies there really care about your sobriety my whole outlook changed. I don't even know where to start. I came into Angel House 18 Months ago a hopeless addict that knew absolutely nothing about life. When I got here I had not a dime to my name, my clothes were scattered from Atlanta to Alabama, I had never held a job successfully, or had a healthy relationship in my life. Now I have been working as an Accountant/Office Manager for a solid year, I am financially stable, have my own house and car, but most importantly I have HEALTHY relationships with my family and friends that grow stronger by the day. Non of that ever felt possible until the Angel House made me realize how capable I really am. This place changed it for me, beyond anything I could have ever expected. It brings me to tears to even think about. I have NEVER had people care about me the way staff did. I never once felt like a case in a folder, and was always made to feel that what I had to say was important. I felt like someone who's voice mattered for the first time. Brooke Boyette would be running around the office trying to put out so many fires, help so many people at the same time, but not one time did she EVER tell me she didn't have time to talk and that still holds true today. Since I graduated I still call her on a daily basis and complain about life, but guess what... shes there to listen. This program does more than just show you how to live life clean. It shows you how to love again, let others love you, and gives you a family that you can hold onto forever. If your willing to fight for your life and come out on the other side you quickly realize that nothing is personal and its all spiritual. So that brings me to the director Angela. This lady spent hours and I mean HOURS on end fighting for my life when I didn't want to fight for it myself. I say hours because I was pretty stubborn and had a hard time opening my ears when it was time for me to listen. Angela would sit and talk with me no matter how long it took, till she was sure that I had heard her. She didn't have to do that. She could have left when the office closed at 7 "I had her there late MANY nights", she could have not answered her phone on a Sunday when I found out my mom relapsed after 10 years sober and stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, she didn't have to show up in the middle of the night when we needed her, she didn't have to fight so hard for ME and MY life but guess what... SHE DID!! Not only did she do it for me but continues to do it for every women that steps foot into that program. Her compassion for the work she does is beyond anything I have ever witnessed before. She showed me how to be a better person Spiritually, Mentally, and Financially. These women are hero's and a grateful recovering addict can quickly realize the lengths they go to for ALL women that come through the program. So if your ready and need to go somewhere that is going to truly change your life. You can find it at Angel House as long as your ready.

My children receive services at Avita in Cleveland it's by far the best location in my opinion the front desk staff is always so engaging with my kids and the other staff is so engaging and empathetic my three favorite people in this office is the front desk, nurse, and male counselor. My daughter doesn't see him but he is always quick to check in with her about her day.
