I've been too multiple programs. And I honestly have to say this program went over and beyond in my journey too sobriety. The staff actually cares about your life. Even though I'm a grown man. They held my hand and was with me through every step of the way. And what really caught my attention. Is that the other residents treated me like family from day one. I met some very extraordinary and talented people there. And some friendships that might last a lifetime. And after it was time too go. They made sure that my next phase would safe and secure. I went to Black Bear Lodge back in February. It was one of the best decisions, if not the best, I’ve ever made. It totally changed my life. It helped me get sober and to find my true self after 55 years on earth. The staff were amazing, especially Mrs. Ginger, Mrs. Tiffany and Jim. The RA’s helped me out a lot. Many of them are also in recovery, so they knew where I was coming from. The cabins were excellent and the food was incredible. Let me not forget about the breathtaking Mountain views. I met life long friends while being there and we still encourage each other thru text, phone and social media. I think everyone should go to Black Bear at least once, preferably sooner than later. Even if you don’t have addiction problems. This place will change the way you think and live. Five stars for Black Bear Lodge.

After injuring my back on the job, I spiraled into opioid addiction and it nearly tore my family apart. Coming to Shepherd’s Hill gave me a fresh start. After I completed a 30-day inpatient program with their sister company, Serenity Grove, I decided to do two months of outpatient treatment. It was so nice to be able to transition from inpatient to outpatient with the same counselors and clients. It made me feel safe and more relaxed in a familiar setting. I added to the tools that I had learned at Serenity Grove and continued to work on my sobriety without going straight back to the "real world". I cannot thank AARC enough for their care. I still go once a week to their Continuing Care program, and I can do that for as long as I will ever need!

The program was exactly what he needed as he is, and still needs to be VERY active. The program fit him perfectly and he is still very involved with his Purple family and their active lifestyle to this day.
I know it was hard for him, but Purple's program, their method of reintegrating their clients back into their families lives and the work force, and post recovery programs are unmatched. Embark Behavioral Health - Alpharetta is part of a nationwide network of outpatient centers and residential programs that specialize in mental health issues, including substance use disorders. At their Alpharetta, Georgia, location they serve preteens, teens and young adults ages 12 to 28. They’ve been working with youth for over 25 years. Locate | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Honest rating of overall facility.
This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped.
Honest rating on each therapist.
Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting.
David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes.
Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories!
Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients.
Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist.
Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice.
Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist.
Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks.
Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them!
Overall, I think the staff is awesome!
Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case.
Goodbye, Team Embark, I'll miss you guys!

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

Roswell, Georgia | Centered Recovery Programs – Holistic Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab Center In Atlanta Georgia, located in Roswell, Georgia is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions including co-occurring mental health disorders. They offer supervised medical treatment to safely manage withdrawal sympt | Treatments Payment Options | I had the privilege of working at Centered Recovery Programs in Roswell, GA, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience there. From the very beginning, I was struck by the authenticity and heart behind the program. Their mindfulness-based approach to recovery is unlike anything I’ve seen—compassionate, effective, science based, and focused on getting to the root of challenges so that real and lasting change is possible.
Working with the owners, Reed and Krista, was an absolute pleasure. They lead with integrity and a true passion for their work, the people they serve, and their employees. Krista is incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind human behavior and has a gift for educating clients in a way that’s fun, easy to connect with, and apply. I learned so much from her and from the program overall. Reed has an extraordinary ability to connect with everyone he meets, making them feel welcome, cared for and seen—whether it’s a casual conversation that makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend, or a deeper exchange that helps people of all ages and backgrounds navigate life’s struggles.
The staff was equally wonderful—supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. And the clients inspired me daily with their vulnerability, courage, and openness. Their testimonies often went beyond addiction, touching on the struggles we all face as human beings. Watching them overcome hardships, form bonds, and grow into healthier, more fulfilled versions of themselves was both powerful and humbling.
It was truly comforting to work in an environment where people care deeply—not only for clients, but for one another’s well-being—and where everything is done with others’ best interests at heart. Being part of Centered Recovery is an experience I feel so grateful to have had, and it will continue to impact me for the rest of my life.
Centered Recovery Programs is more than just a treatment center—it’s a community built on compassion, mindfulness, and transformation. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking real, meaningful recovery.

This place is absolutely incredible. I was somewhat apprehensive when Reed said that I would take on the material immediately and it would be life changing. I’ve spent over ten years struggling with mental health and substance issues to no avail, I truly believed that I would forever have to deal with my crippling anxiety and depression. However, today I feel sooooooooooo much better! I wish the world knew about this information. I now have a new way of thinking and awareness that I’ve never possessed before, and I’ve realized I actually don’t have any anxiety, I just made that up (haha). I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, and I wanted to thank each person here that helped me get where I am today!!
