This place & This woman: Stacey Carroll, are both miracles. The much needed structure is within their daily schedule, the term "downtime" isn't an option. The program is packed with classes equivalent to course studies, the Biblical Teachers are knowledgeable with an understanding if the Bible, the atmosphere is one of "kindred spirits".. like that of king David & Jonathon.. or Ruth & Naomi. What is said here, stays here. Stacey Carroll is one the most pure hearted women of God I have ever had the honor to be around. She walks it.. like she talks it!! Backs it up daily, she was more than a role model or an example to me.. she has & is a "big sister" to me. I am an Alumni of Shalom. I stayed at the " farm:" for 9 months, then to the Shalom halfway house until my Motherb had a 2nd massive stroke that killed her swallowing reflexes.. Jesus took her home 1 week to the date of the 2nd stroke... Had I been out there using atthe time of hrb stroke & passing..I know I would inintenionally overedosed.

I can say with absolute certainty this place and the men who lead here saved my brothers life. We as his family quite literally had lost all faith he would make it off the streets alive. Honestly, almost every time I spoke with my mother I was preparing her ac little at a time for him to end up dead. So when I say him sober and having light behind his eyes again is the biggest miracle God has ever given us and He gave it to us thru this recovery center so from the bottom of my heart I thank God and all of you who support those hopeless lost souls on their journey to finding them selves again.

I was scrolling the web and I always check the reviews of places I have physically been seen at. I'm a single father now and i havent been able to post as much as i'd like. When I saw some of the comments they really well....pissed me off. Dr Craddock is one of the most caring DR/Pshyciatrist i have encountered in my recovery. I started in 2008 in Seneca,SC and quickly moved to Recovery Concepts with Dr Craddock. Just to put it all plainly. There was never a time anything was offered to me that i didnt have to take the assesment for or bring up first. He never said try these THATS BULL. They don't just hand out any medications if they are deemed nessicary and you bring them up the administer an assesment on you and you may or may not have ADHD or anxiety. I in fact do have and will always have SUD, anxiety and adult ADHD. I will say it again for those in the back. He is a great DR/Pshciatrisrt but they dont make you take the medication and they certainlly dont bring it up. Hope this clears the BS away from him.

My treatment plan through SWCTC saved my life. I'd never heard of methadone and a friend told me about it. I was in denial and had spent so much money and time finding drugs. My whole existence depended on getting my pills. I wanted to stop and prayed for a way. I've been clean for 22 years now. They are friendly people that work there. They work with you on things you don't want. I have been there for 12 years have not wanted to change clinics. They help you with counseling every month and they are nice. Tish has been my counselor for a long time she has been my favorite so far. So has been such a help with talking about things.

I was court ordered to renewal and that place was too crazy for me so they changed my court order to this place when I told them about it .. they got me off the street the same day they first talked to me.. they have classes and programs to help us I am a year clean thanks to this program... I don't know why other people are hating on this program they obviously have a personal issue but the rules are lenient compared to other places we have a lot of structured freedom .. My 10 yrs Nephew is down there and had been there 6 or 8 month's and he said they are very good to him and he was getting the help he needed and he says that the psychiatrist was very good to him and becouse of her he was getting better and he said he thinks the world of her because she was good to him and she help him a lot I. Know one thing what we have saw from the place. They are absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone it a little bit of a drive for us but even those it 4 hour drive one way I would go every day if it was allowed.but he said he was going to miss them when he get to go home but he said he could send them a card sorry some of you have had a bad experience But Thank God for the Excalibur Youth Service.

Sometimes when I need to call back a nurse the secretary can't let me through, but then the nurse always calls me back at some point, so it's fine. They've pretty good service otherwise and good doctors. Heroes really do work here, just be patient. ^_^
