I wanted to write a review to say how thankful I am to this facility and the incredible team (special shout out to my therapist Angela and Josh )who work here. Upon arrival I was going through it. From the very beginning the staff welcomed me with compassion, respect, and patience. Not only did they provide incredible treatment- they provided me with a family-like support. I felt understood, safe, and valued.
The therapists and facilitators earnestly listened and helped me navigate through the most difficult time of my life . Thanks to them I made progress and built confidence, learned healthier ways to cope, and began to learn how to love myself. I never felt alone, and felt encouraged and cared for each and every step of the way.

This place not only took me in very last minute but they made my stay one that impacted my life for the complete better. i just recently completed the program. this is a dual diagnostic program. my case manager was Chasity. Chasity is the most amazing person to share your recovery with, attent groups with, along with being an over and above achiever case manager. i geniuely do no know If i could've gotten through my recovery without her support! shes an angel sent from God. She a hard worker and over achiever and very dedicated to her job. a big shout out to the BHT director Rachel along with BHT staff courtney Nathan and autumn. They all hold a special place in my heart and played a great role in my recovery as well. as far as the program goes it's a residental 30 day program that is very homey very welcoming non judgement place every staff has a story to tell/share and they do not even realize that their stories they share can give clients inspiration motivation and let's you know their is still hope and it's will can be done. i recommend this place to anyone wanting and willing the help. Thank you West Georgia Wellness for being one of the GREATEST step part and role of my recovery i apperciate each and everyone of yall more than you know! Also, if you do not have transportation do not worry, just make the call allow your call to be ypur first step. they accept insurance, and they will come get you. They personally came and got me from jail, i know they have drove to kentucky and many many more places to go and pick up clients who are wanting to come to the program. If you do their php program they will even take you to and from work instead of making you defend for your ownself like most places. they even over transportation to and from AA/NA/CR meetings if your interested in going to them. This geniuely is the absolute BEST program for 30 day residental/php/iop WEST GEORGIA KEEP DOING BIG THINGS YALL ARE CHANGING 1 life at a time

Nice place and program for dual diagnosis treatment. They helped me with my detox, and was treated with proper health concerns and the medicine with therapy sessions and group session was very helpful working at a pace of my own cool calm collective experience from staff. Case manager Chascidy was a great help and motivating case manager thanks for being patient with me. JOSH is a cool director and overall great techs and nurses 24/7 safe and caring staff overall. It's a 30 day program but staying longer would of been nice. 👍

This center has been very helpful to me. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. I especially would like to give a special shout out to Christa Evan’s who has been incredible. Impressive informative professional services I received from Marietta Georgia office on both occasions from Ms.Tara and Ms. Nadine.
Great place in the 7 weeks there I never got up and regretted going to the meeting. The staff was amazing and treated everyone with great respect I highly recommend this place for recovery for professional patients for sure they target your profession directly getting you the help personally and mentally also completing the needed paperwork.

I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them.
In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope.
People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.
Alana is a wonderful place for recovery. The coping skills you learn are top tier! The staff really cares about your progress and they try to do as much as they can to help you with recovery. Cliff, Darnell, Joy and the full staff are amazing. They definitely help you pack life long tools

I would definitely recommend this place to others such as myself that's trying to get their lives together. I stayed there 3 months,and I wish I was able to stay there even longer,Ms.Laura,Ms.Brenda,Colin,Chris,Cliff,and Caitlin played a big role in my recovery,these are PEOPLE THAT ILL NEVER FORGET. They helped me so much along the way,I plan in going back to Alana to work,once I get enough clean time.. God Bless the whole entire staff at Alana,including my peers that I left when I graduated...Im looking forward to attending The Alumni gatherings.My journey is by far over with. Wonderful place with a very caring and attentive staff. My mental health journey is in such a better state having attended Summit and I am forever grateful for everyone there.
I have always been treated with respect and have had wonderful care at the Shepherd Center.
Everyone is very knowledgeable and listen to any concerns or questions I may have.
Having PPS it is important to me that most everyone is knowledgeable about Polio and PPS and how it can affect my life.
I love the accessibility at Shepherd and wish everyone would realize how important accessibility is to someone who uses a power chair and everyone who uses other tools for life for their disability.
I Hope and pray that one day everyone in our world will understand that accessibility is needed everywhere! Though we may have a disability we are people who love life, want to be respected and love to be independent as much as possible.

Dr Lowley is the must awesome dr and such good with kids .We enjoy haven him for my boys Dr and would not change it for the world he is amazing.
The assessment portion was great but the "Urgent" portion is not. It took 3 days for someone to call about meds and that appointment is a month away. We still haven't found a therapist in the system that accepts Medicare. This has added to the stress.

Overall I rate this hospital as one of the best inpatient experiences I've been in for years. Intake process is quick and easy. Rooms are updated and very clean. Food is good quality and vegan options are available. Doctors are very knowledgeable and understanding of your needs. DBT therapy and groups sessions are resourceful and offered daily. Staff is always available to assist.
My only suggestion is to swap out the water fountains for bottled water or a filtered water dispenserary.

Intake rep Michelle is the most caring and compassionate person. She is so passionate about mental health care. Talked me through a crisis over the phone and met me at the door upon my arrival.
Christy S. (LPN) is so sweet and caring. Not only does she always greet you with a smile, she genuinely checks in on you throughout your stay. On Thanksgiving, I witnessed her pass meds and work the entire Unit 4- taking vitals and comforting others. Thank you for our daily talks.

As a former client, I highly recommend them for your recovery.

People of tangu my intake date was 7/28/2025 I came broken and hopeless but over time I met sum amazing people I was addicted to meth I fought that demon for eight years of my life but many things I can say about tangu is they brought me in like family and treated me like family Ik it might be hard sometimes ik it might be scary but I trusted the staff at tangu recovery I feel like I was the worst of the worst but they really try there best too help people about a month in I wanted too leave and never come back but overtime I felt like family more and more everyday did I work my program a lot no I didn’t but did I get treated like family too them when I didn’t even know them I love all the staff there and the people yeah it might feel weird at first new people new place but it works it really does I have come along way since my first day since tangu three months might be long it might be hard but I honestly can say tangu had helped every step of the way I would not be in the position today I am without tangu not giving up on me so if you want a new way of life and looking for people you can trust and be there for you try tangu out and Guarantee you from a meth addict that struggled with addiction for eight years that’s now 127 sober that this program actually works I love you all and the new comers coming in it works you just have too trust the process
The extension changed my life. It was the best decision that I ever made. I've been clean over 2 and 1/2 years and have my life fully functioning and successful.

I have had clients go through the Extension and I have volunteered serving meals there. I read the post about it being racially biased but I have never witnessed anything or heard any other complaint like that. I would not hesitate to have one of my minority clients go through their program. It is all about and all for the residents to build a better life.

This is a clean clinic and has many great qualities that can very much help your road to sobriety! However,the main issue here is the CONSTANT councilor change! As soon as one gets comfortable with their counselor, they leave. It is such piece of mind to build a relationship with your councilor and the nurses, just so you can have that report and someone that knows you and can be in your corner if ever needed. There are alot of patients that are not there for the right reasons, then there are also alot of patients that ARE there for the right reasons. The constant change certainly does not give one peace of mind. Familiar faces change places. I can not help but think its the higher ups not doing what is necessary to keep them happy in their workplace. Its sad really! Seeing consistency is very important, especially for addicts working on their road to recovery!
Otherwise I do believe this is a good place that has alot to offer addiction recovery for the ones who truly want it!

If the Recovery services that are offered by this center are needed, I can't think of a better place to go! Woodstock treatment center has professional Counselors that are non-judgemental, kind and empathetic, (shout out to Lindsay!) developing a plan of care tailored to the individual's needs so recovery though painful is attainable. As a bonus it is affordable even if you do not have insurance. The only negative is lack of parking.

I had my first appointment today. I could not be more pleased with how much the staff cares about my mental health. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the nurse practitioner, they were all fantastic, pleasant, informative and really seemed to want to see me get the help I need to live a normal life. Ft. Mac offers a lot of services to us veterans and dependents. I wished they had natural medicine doctors instead of the ones the only thing they're taught to do is issue pills for everything.

This AMAZING place is honestly the best of all, hands down.
From the doctor, director Jennifer, miss Holly amazing nurses especially Yolanda, and many more especially when you are recovering in recovery the amazing counselor's , such as sweet, caring, and supportive while REALLY LISTENING AND KEEPING IT REAL and making you feel comfortable and in a safe place is just a big perk in recovery. Counselor/therapist Ames. Adrienne has really helped me with so much.
But I do want anyone who is reading this that knows someone or if you are struggling with addiction and ready to live a good life if you are scared to do it cold turkey or don't have the support or financial to pay for rehab or detox and all that this is the best place to do it and recovery can happen in all different forms cold turkey clinics Suboxone and it doesn't matter what you do as long as you do it and make a difference in your life and better yourself but this is the place to go and is a great option if you're open to it and ready to do it just make sure you're open ready and you want it and I encourage you that this clinic is the clinic for you or anyone if you know anyone struggling . And they also take health insurance and offer a new health insurance called ambetter that will cover all costs as well so reach out if you need to and make a change start it today.

Five stars. Five for effort. Five for intent. Five for execution. Five for the people. Namely, Mr. Ulysses Johnson, Ms. Gheri, Mr. Washington, Mr. Baker, Mr. Daniel, Ms. Sonondra, Miss K, Mr. Brian Moore, Chef Moore, Chef James and Chef Jimmy are all hallmark individuals and as a unit they facilitate a transformative and incredibly supportive community that is doing amazing work addressing homelessness in Atlanta. I utilized every service for several months as I recovered from circumstances that rendered me homeless in August. They received me on the 8th, and from that day forward I didn't miss a meal, I attended programming that was engaging and developmental towards successful community re-entry. All the staff genuinely lean in every aspect of their roles to help myself and my peers. I am truly grateful because I don't know where I'd be without you all. Thank you all so much! You too JD! Decent food, showers, laundry, bed to sleep in and staff. The effort you put in through their program will corelate the results you get. Every Friday they celebrate clients progression. Be prepared to be woken up at 5:30-6:00 am. Don't miss 9 Pm bed check otherwise your stuff and yourself could be packed up and you will have to talk to Kevin the next available morning. My favorite staff member is Mr.Moore.

I would like to share my experience living at The Shepherd's Inn. I was living in my Apartment for 2 years in Atlanta.I am on Disability & was on The Ticket To Work Program.I got my Apartment thru Hope of Atlanta.I was Homeless for 5 years in Santa Monica,California prior to coming to Atlanta for work.I was working as soon as I was able to acquire housing.I had to buy clothes & food. The money the Government pays me is only $1200 per month.I moved into my apartment in 2021. I worked in 2021 &2022. My disability ended up getting Suspended because I went over the SGA amount.This happened in May of 2022. The Warehouse I was working for for 14 months went out of business. I was only making $12 per hour doing Production worker. I was not able to get another job because my cell phone was stolen.My casemanager was helping me apply for unemployment & Food stamps.The unemployment office keep telling my casemanger that we had to reapply for unemployment.We did this 2 times. He also applied for Food Stamps. I never received anything in my time of need.We had to get Rent & electric assistance.My rent & electric was paid but no food.I ended up going to jail in Gwinnet County for 3 rd Degree Forgery for 2 years. After I was released a homeless friend of mine told me about the Atlanta Mission. They have a 1 month & 6 month programs.When I did the intake I noticed that they were asking personal questions that was none of their business.They asked if I had a mental problem.I said no.They ask if I was taking medication & I said no.I just got out of jail.I did finally get to see a Doctor & get medication.If you tell them you have a mental problem you can only stay I month.Its a really great shelter compared to others I lived in.In the 6 month program you live for Free. They have a clothing closet to help you with clothes They also help you find a job &apartment.A friend of mine is in the 1 month program.He went to talk to Mrs.Kay about a extension.She said no.There is 2 things that they don't do but they should. They should gave everyone a monthly bus pass & $500 a month allowance while they are going thur the program.The staff is very professional is nice to me at all times.I am going to a better shelter in another State. It is a better program & the State has better medical services.
Working with Cobb County Community Service Board has been a wonderful experience. The staff and leadership are the heart of the organization working daily for continuous quality improvement to become an organization of excellence.

This agency goes above and beyond to make sure you get the resources and assistance you need.
Some of the negative reviews here are from people who treat the donation pick up service as their personal, white glove, unwanted furniture disposal service. It is ridiculous to expect the pick up crew to come when you aren't home, and it is unreasonable to expect them to remove their shoes or wear 'booties' so they don't soil your carpets. These movers are not your servants. If you truly wish to perform an act of charity, arrange to be at home ahead of time, and cover your floor with the Atlanta Journal Constitution...its' best possible use.
