I was absolutely welcomed . I was taken by the testimonies of all the graduating women who still participate in group activities and get together. This place helped me find purpose again, man. The workouts, group talks, and real convos about identity hit deep. I was lost after my injury, now I mentor younger guys here. Some parts felt a bit rigid, but overall it gave me hope and direction.

After injuring my back on the job, I spiraled into opioid addiction and it nearly tore my family apart. Coming to Shepherd’s Hill gave me a fresh start. The counselors really cared and helped me work through the emotional stuff, not just the addiction. I liked that I could still talk with my wife and kids, it kept me grounded. Wish they had more physical therapy options for chronic pain though. The campus is peaceful and the staff were supportive. This place helped me find my feet again.

I would not be the person I am today if it was not for Shepherds hill. The truth is they love all who come there and treat them with love and care. they are not perfect but they are doing their very best. And they need as much love and support at this time they are a part of me now and they have given me a family and a home. Thanks to my wonderful parents and the amazing staff at SHA I am so proud to be a daughter of God, A woman, and a Confident African american. Thanks to the Grove Baptist church and their relationship with SHA I am in the school I wanted to go to and I'm ahead in my school. For anyone that reads this please fight for them and encourage them. Support this amazing family and give them the love that they deserve! please Fight with us.

I just got home from a month treatment at this fabulous place! I cried, I didn’t want to leave! If you are someone serious, really serious about your recovery-and want as much knowledge as possible to treat the horrible disease of addiction-then you can’t go wrong going to Black Bear! As long as you’re willing to put in the work? This place is healing for the soul! I learned more about myself& my addiction in 30days than I’ve learned being somewhere 6mths! When I was completely hopeless and couldn't stop even when I wanted to, I didn't have anywhere to turn. My family didn't know how to help make the pain stop either but the staff at Athens Area Commencement Center did and they did so with love, compassion, and complete understanding. They saw me as a person in pain and not as a problem and helped me rebuild my life from the inside out. Today I am a present mother and have a connection with that same family that was once as hopeless as I was, that I never thought was possible. If you want a way out, this place works miracles and I am one of them.

My treatment plan through SWCTC saved my life. I'd never heard of methadone and a friend told me about it. I was in denial and had spent so much money and time finding drugs. My whole existence depended on getting my pills. I wanted to stop and prayed for a way. I've been clean for 22 years now. If you really want to stop, call SWCTC or a clinic near you to make an appointment so you too can get help without going through a horrific withdrawal.

After I completed a 30-day inpatient program with their sister company, Serenity Grove, I decided to do two months of outpatient treatment. It was so nice to be able to transition from inpatient to outpatient with the same counselors and clients. It made me feel safe and more relaxed in a familiar setting. I added to the tools that I had learned at Serenity Grove and continued to work on my sobriety without going straight back to the "real world". I cannot thank AARC enough for their care. I still go once a week to their Continuing Care program, and I can do that for as long as I will ever need!

They were the 3rd biggest step in my road to recovery. The entire staff that I've had the pleasure of meeting are very kind. I've been coming here over 2 years now, with their help. They have helped me in many more ways than prescribing methadone. They have several counselors for you to speak to and go hand in hand with recovery. They also have certified peers to speak with about anything you may not feel comfortable telling your counselor yet. For the first time in 2 decades, I can truthfully say I am happy to be alive. If you're considering getting sober, don't put it off another day. You're not alone. there are many here who want to help you with your journey to a sober life.

Honestly Dr. Kirova-Pancheva has been a phenomenal psychiatrist to me. She’s been very helpful and patience when I first visited her. Currently changing my life for the better. I am 130 days sober. I extended my stay after checking myself in to Purple (my second rehab). I decided to stay 6 months because after learning how to live sober I started learning how to be a better man, father, partner, and believer. I came with a mindset of openness, willingness, and honesty… My higher power and purple did the rest by guiding me and recommending actions for me to take that will improve my day to day life.

Honest rating of overall facility. This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped. Honest rating on each therapist. Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting. David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes. Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories! Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients. Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist. Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice. Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist. Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks. Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them! Overall, I think the staff is awesome! Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case. Goodbye, Team Embark, I'll miss you guys!

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

The girl at the front desk won't even check on the computer to see when I'll be even able to see a Dr, probably because they don't want to tell me because they know I will leave literally no reason she can't get on the computer right in front of her and check when the next available slot is to see a dr

So very grateful for the care at View Point Health, and wish that had been able to get care earlier. There is little to no wait time for walk-in appointments.
