I came here at the age of 14 when they were on strike and had to leave due to a lack of professionalism and consistency but I have to say I am very impressed with how much better they’ve gotten under new management, I don’t necessarily agree with the policies of services and the grounds they have for termination but they are fair and understandable nonetheless.

This place pulled me outta a dark spot. I came in feelin’ like death 🤕, but they knew exactly what to do. The detox part? Rough. But they had me in a clean bed , checking on me non-stop. Felt safe for once. They don’t sugarcoat things, but they don’t treat you like garbage either. Just solid care, real help, and a team that actually gives a damn .

Charleston Detox had my back when things were at their worst. The crew there didn’t just treat me like another case — they treated me like a real person. Straight-up support, no judgment, and they kept it honest the whole time. The detox itself was rough, but they made it bearable. Nurses checked on me constantly, and the counselors actually listened. I felt like I mattered — and that helped more than anything. I didn’t just detox my body; I started clearing out my head too.

Checking into Harsha Behavioral Center was a pivotal moment in my journey with anxiety and depression. This 5-star inpatient mental health facility redefines care through its exceptional programming and compassionate staff. From day one, I was immersed in a structured, yet flexible schedule tailored to my needs, making it far more than a typical hospital stay.
The programming at Harsha is outstanding, blending evidence-based therapies like CBT and DBT with innovative group sessions and holistic options such as mindfulness and music therapy. Daily one-on-one counseling with skilled therapists helped me unpack deep-rooted issues, while group activities fostered connection and support. The center also offers psychoeducation classes, teaching coping skills that empowered me to manage my mental health long-term. Every session felt purposeful, with progress tracked meticulously to ensure personalized care. Post-discharge, their comprehensive aftercare plan, including virtual follow-ups and resource referrals, ensured a smooth transition.
The heart of Harsha’s excellence lies with its Chief Nursing Officer, Adam. Adam leads from the heart, and he has built a team of highly trained, empathetic nurses who are available around the clock. His leadership shines through in the staff’s attentiveness and innovative care protocols, emphasizing patient dignity. I saw him engaging with patients during rounds, creating a warm, supportive atmosphere that elevates the entire facility.
My week-long stay was transformative, thanks to Harsha’s robust programming and Adam’s leadership. This isn’t just a hospital—it’s a lifeline for those seeking top-tier mental health care. This is definitely the best hospital I have been to, and I cannot imagine that there is anyplace better.

I travel from Mount Carmel to see my therapist here. I love her and she never makes me feel like a bother. She has helped me in many ways.
