Harsha Behavioral Center provided exceptional care for my son during his first-ever inpatient stay, and we are deeply grateful for the support we received.
My son is on the autism spectrum, and Harsha’s child psychiatrist, Dr. Hinshaw, understood his needs from day one. They made thoughtful medication adjustments that genuinely helped him stabilize, and they approached him with patience, structure, and compassion. He told us more than once that Harsha “felt like a healing place,” which meant everything to us as parents.
He participated in daily coping-skills groups, gym time, and arts-and-crafts therapy, all of which helped him express himself and learn healthier ways to manage difficult emotions. The progress he made in just a short time was remarkable.
I also want to highlight the therapist we worked with, Julia, who helped us create a personalized electronics plan to reset expectations at home. Coming from an “all-access, all-the-time” approach to screens, her guidance gave us a clear, practical roadmap we could actually follow, and my son is already practicing what he learned.
Every staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and truly invested in helping him succeed. We left not only with a more stable and confident child, but with tools and routines that will help us support him long after discharge.

My son is currently receiving care at Harsha, and this facility is an absolute breath of fresh air. For the first time in 11 years, I don't feel dismissed or swept to the side. I feel completely seen and heard. I spoke with the therapist Stacy on Friday, and she took a great deal of time talking with me about her initial thoughts, findings, and concerns. She was knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. I have been impressed by each and every person that I have spoken with. My son is happy. I got to visit him in person today, and he said that while he is excited to come home, he is happy here, on the path to healing. I am confident and hopeful, and so is my son. I am very pleased.

I always feel comfortable and well cared for here. If only all American citizens could recieve this kind of medical care. It's sometimes hard to get through by phone but this may be a system wide VA problem. Don't mean to gripe though, otherwise I'm grateful.

I travel from Mount Carmel to see my therapist here. I love her and she never makes me feel like a bother. She has helped me in many ways. Sometimes they can't get me in as quickly as theyd like but I know it's because they have an overwhelming influx of patients and not enough therapists to help everyone which is not their fault. They do their best and I am thankful I have the ability to go.

I've had to go there on multiple occasions. They were very nice and they tried to help me so much, though I am super stubborn when it comes to therapy, but regardless of how I am. They always try to find ways that'll work best for you when needing something to change for the better. My occasions, that I truly remember, were for major depression and how to healthily cope with it. Sally was my therapist for both times I went, and loved her. Before Hickory I’ve never experienced any sort of rehabilitation. In ANY aspect of my life. I was WRECKED. So my expectations were very “surfaced”. The tools and practices the staff, therapists, BHT’s and even the front desk and office staff provide go beyond just the addiction part. Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. I love what the Harbor Light Center is doing for our community! I know several people who have gone through this program and they have been transformed by the incredible love and care they received there. This is a top-notch detox and addiction treatment program and it shows. Harbor Light welcomes anyone - no matter what their background is or how many times they've been through recovery. The staff doesn't give up on anyone! Everyone says that the big difference between The Salvation Army's program and the others they'd experienced was how faith became a part of their recovery for the first time. Recovery is so much easier when you know that you're never alone in your journey. We are truly blessed to have an affordable and quality program like this right here in Indiana.

Hi this is Brandon Burton (05/17/2000) i just wanted to take a min to show my appreciation for CRT Rocky Ford House in Columbus Indiana. I wouldn't be the strong minded person that i am today if it wasn’t for all of their support, help, and guidance. I wanna take this time to show my up most appreciation for each staff member there, because each of them impacted me greatly.
Rachael always took time out of her day to make sure i had everything i needed, made sure i understood what was being taught to me in MRT and IOT, and she ALWAYS had the best classes. She made her classes fun and she explained things in a way that i could understand. She gave me support in every aspect of my life. I know that if i had something going on i could take it to her and she wouldnt go and tell someone else my business, and she would give me the best suggestions possible.
Tacara was amazing as well, she had my back in the program from the jump. She always gave me straight up honest answers, and she always helped me in the spiritual side of my recovery. We talked about God alot and i just really appreciated having a sister in christ there to talk about God with everyday.
Austin was my dude forreal. Ive liked Austin since i met him at the Whitney house when he was the recovery works grant guy. For some reason i was always drawn to Austin, he always gave me straight answers, never sugar coated anything, and didnt judge me for who i am. Not to mention hes funny as heck! I remember going into his office almost everyday just to talk to him and tell him jokes. Lol i hope ur seein this G-Eazy, i appreciate you having my back, and giving me a chance in the program!
Kathy was ALWAYS just the sweetest! She showed me sooo much support when it came to my relationship stuff and she helped us with anything we brought to her attention. Kathy was very nurturing, kind, and treated me like i was her son. I felt a strong family type bond with each and every staff member there i love them all with all my ❤️

Paige and Heather have both been instrumental in my life. Today I go in there and am told that Paige has been let go for no reason. This is very triggering and upsetting for me. I guess Heather was not happy about it either. Like how could you guys get rid of Paige? She’s the sweetest. Please let Paige stay, she has been so helpful on my road to recovery is a big reason why I have stayed sober. Honestly I can’t believe they let her go just before the holiday season. Such a shame. She was one of the people who really gave me the belief that I could make it in recovery. It’s not right totally unfair treatment.

What can I say the staff an dr at spero have just been a miracle!! I've been a spero patient 4 years now through some of the hardest times in my life, and my dr kasie is just a god sent they truly care about there patients an actually listen when alot of us are used to being pushed to the side or over looked. An to my girlie's at the front desk chrystal is absolutely amazing an definitely deserves a raise 😉😉 okay seriously tho chrystal will move heaven an earth for you. Chris my therapist has been one of the best councilor I have ever had an I've had alot so caring and compassionate specially after losing my brother an fiancé 3 months apart my world was rocked to the core but spero has been there every step of the way to make sure I continue to succeed.

Cory and Lauren we're great. Both very understating, and easy to talk with. Prices were affordable.They helped make an uncomfortable situation comfortable.
