I see Dana and Kristin regularly and they have helped me so much. Kathy, Lisa and Chris in the office are wonderful. New director Monica is very approachable and helpful. I was set to spend 21 days away from all the comforts of Home My family and dog. My first week of detox was more comfortable than I expected. Assisted with medications that helped me through The Tough days ahead. After I came out of the fog I dove head first into my recovery. I went to every group meeting. I went to every AA meeting available I participated 100% And was determined to take advantage of every tool I would need to be successful. I learned Skills from so many People that have been there done that And could relate to what I was feeling honestly feeling. I didn’t realize I had so many traumas until we started talking about it. I have an addictive personality And the roots run deep through my family tree. With all the professional help I was able to navigate through those tough Traumas. I realized I was drinking to bury those feelings and forget. They run a tight Shift With an Excellent routine. They fed us very well. They really focused on mind-body and soul. I will be forever grateful for the help That I receive the true caring I received. The understanding I received. And just knowing I was not alone. I met some very cool people who were in the same boat as I Just rowing with different paddles. I surrounded myself with positive people who were serious about their rehabilitation. Today I am 26 days sober. I have never felt better mentally physically and spiritually. There is no better high from a drink or a drug that I’m experiencing on a sober life. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. I know several people who have gone through this program and they have been transformed by the incredible love and care they received there. This is a top-notch detox and addiction treatment program and it shows. Harbor Light welcomes anyone - no matter what their background is or how many times they've been through recovery. The staff doesn't give up on anyone! Everyone says that the big difference between The Salvation Army's program and the others they'd experienced was how faith became a part of their recovery for the first time.
