So I just want to start off by stating that this facility changed my life drastically and saved my butt! Quite literally. I came to FCRC a scared, shaking, & shy woman. I was a kid on the inside.
Mr. Jeff & Savannah saved me from myself AT LEAST 3 times from trying to walk out on my recovery because of issues on the outside (life continues even though we go to treatment, ya know). When I tell you I have never met a team of such caring loving & HONEST staff? I hadn’t until I walked into this facility. I graduated yesterday, with 44 days today under my belt. I had hopped on a plane from Houston TX not knowing anything but my Higher Power did. I am so beyond grateful to First City and their peeps. All the way from the Detox experience to my PHP part of my program, everyone was helpful and so kind. And that level of care? Hard to find. Aye, shout out to Bobby in PHP & IOP, that’s my boy!!! This would be my second time at river bend , When faced with the decision on which place I would seek treatment at , The only place I truly knew I would get help at was river bend . The staff there are so kind and respectful. They truly understand that no one wants to be there so they do their best to make it a better experience for everyone. I spent Easter at river bend and I am so thankful for the staff who truly cared and found ways to make the day a good one. Shout out to Corey for always be a good staff and making my experience at river bend a positive one and to Mindy (not sure how to spell names) for being an awesome staff and hiding Easter eggs for us and of course Ali for being an excellent nurse and advocating for me! I went through Trinity house in 1988. My reviews at the time would’ve been stellar. On that note, you really need to look at all of the reviews on all of the review sites. I don’t know if Google really vets their reviews so do some really good research before you decide against this place. I’ve been sober for 37 years.

I don’t know who the negative reviews are from but some people (patients) are the because they are psychotic & out of control. Its a secure facility. You aint in there fore a vacation. You are there for treatment.
Ive been twice. Staff are awesome...every one of them. Food os great. Big screen TV & about 150 movies, books, private rooms.
Constant checking & monitoring.
I wont be back but I recommend it to anyone serious about getting better.

After leaving the Alumni coordinator always checked in monthly and I ended up at alumni events such as speaker events and even a Halloween event at Hogan Farms. I’d recommend this recovery network to anyone seeking a safe and reliable sober community!

Professional yet warm staff, Incredible Drs. who really take the time to listen. They understand that each person has a different experience when detoxing and do their best make an individualize treatment plan. The entire detox floor is kept immaculate and the food is nutritious and is good. I would recommend this detox floor to anyone needing help. Many nurses are in recovery of some sort.

Review of Dr. Heath Brown – Methodist Hospitals Southlake Emergency Department
My experience with Dr. Heath Brown has been deeply disappointing and emotionally painful.
He has treated my elderly, disabled Mother multiple times in the emergency room for dialysis, and each visit has felt more dismissive and impersonal than the last.
Instead of compassion or respect, my Mother has been met with bias and assumptions that have nothing to do with her medical needs. Despite my attempts to discuss his repeated language and its impact on her care, he has continued to include inaccurate and unverified remarks in her records. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone entrusted with patient care show such disregard for dignity and fairness.
What hurt most was witnessing how little empathy he showed toward my Mother — a vulnerable, disabled woman who depends on the ER for her dialysis because she’s been blacklisted from private clinics after reporting mistreatment. When I tried to explain how his words affect her ongoing access to care, he brushed it aside.
Patients and families deserve to be seen and heard, not judged or labeled. I truly hope this review serves as a wake-up call for Methodist Hospitals to ensure that every patient — regardless of race, disability, or circumstance — is treated with humanity and respect.

My nurse Florence she didn’t let me know anything about my ultrasound til I asked her then she was suppose to tell me my babies weight and she just said 5 pounds and sum ounces not giving the exact number nor did she try to go back and check it. Also when I was discharged that night which was around 9:54pm I asked her could medical transportation be called for me and she said the house manger said someone will come to my phone and to go wait in the lobby of the ER. I waited down there til almost 12:10a.m and then the police was telling everyone they basically had to leave if he hadn’t said that I would’ve never knew that my transportation company never got a call from them. I called my transportation company and they said they hadn’t received a call from the discharge nurse. When I went to the front desk she told me I had to call up to labor and delivery and talk to them come to find out they claim when they tried to do it didn’t go through and they didn’t even called back down there to inform anyone or me for that matter. I sat all that time I’m 34 weeks pregnant and i hadn’t had any food but an peanut butter and jelly uncrustable and the care was definitely terrible that night nobody would tell me the house manger name. I done tried to contact the patient advocate line and no one ever contacted me back. I highly upset this is horrible.

Over the past 18 months I've been treated at the Roudebush VA center approximately 50 times, which includes blood work, PET scans, radiology, chemo, follow-up doctor appointments, etc. Frankly, I'm not an easy person to please, so writing a Five Star review is out of the ordinary, yet the treatment and the interactions with the various departments deserves the rating. Yes, the parking and condition of the garage can certainly improve, yet the care and customer services was professional, courteous and caring. Every, yes every, encounter I had during my visits was positive.
Each visit either started or ended with a trip to the cafeteria, and/or snack shop. People were friendly, conversive and professional. They liked their jobs and loved the veterans. (I know this because I asked them.)
The check-in process had some duplicate effort, yet when I inquired about why--they told me an answer that made sense.
A special thanks oncology and the various departments including: blood draw, patient advocate, chemo, etc. Their upbeat attitudes, attentiveness, and professionalism made me believe that I was in good hands. They saved me.

Everyone here goes above and beyond to help everyone who enters the program. They all have been in the shoes of addiction. The program is life experience, plus some faith (what you chose to believe) and science based. They provide tools to change you permanently, IF you listen and apply that knowledge to every day of your life.
