I have a great therapist now and am very happy with Meridian. But my last therapist, Erika, was really horrible. Avoid her at all costs. She lies in therapy notes and is very unprofessional in conversation. She ridiculed my thoughts and opinions and and has no concept of peer support duties. Thankfully it was only a few sessions. The rest of the people are really great, especially the women at the front desk and my current therapist.

I have had a therapist from Meridian for many years now, her name is Sharon Troxel & she has helped me through some of the darkest days of my life. I just want people to know there is no shame in needing help and if you think you need a sounding board or just someone to talk to Meridian & especially Sharon, has been a blessing in my life!

Richmond is a very strict recovery program, they won't baby you so if you can't take a stringent recovery program go to a catering facility. I was there in the '80s and finished the program, it did me good, I have fell back a few times but with the tools they gave me I was able to get back on track and have been sober for 18 years. If you choose this program finish it and walk out a better person, remember it's tough but it will build character and you will be stronger for it. Good Luck, Roland

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the doctor that I had before Tara.. but one day she was just gone. I didn’t know why but it happened and to be honest I’m happy that it did. Tara is such a kindhearted individual, smart beyond comparison and if she doesn’t know the Answer she isn’t afraid to ask or refer me to someone to help me more. Selah House is a nationally recognized residential eating disorder treatment center for women and girls in Anderson, Indiana. I like that the program treats anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID and other eating disorders, along with cooccurring conditions like anxiety, depression and trauma. Their compassionate care is impressive to me.
Entering rehab for the first time at 67 years of age was terrifying, simply because I didn't know what to expect. My journey with an eating disorder began when I was just 13 years old, and looking back, it has been a long road. After a health scare in September of 2024 served as a wake-up call, I reached out to a family member who had been down the same path. She recommended a counselor who had also struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager. Initially, I didn't think I had a problem. I was perfectly content with my body size, even though everyone around me kept saying how thin I was. I eventually found a dietitian, and though she and my counselor worked tirelessly with me, I wasn't ready to listen or follow their guidance. Finally, in April of 2025, I realized I needed inpatient help. Because I wanted a faith-based facility, they recommended Selah House. I flew to Anderson, Indiana, incredibly anxious about the unknown. However, the moment I stepped inside the house, I felt at home. The staff welcomed me with open arms and truly understood my journey. The facility itself is beautiful. I especially loved Marcy (who did equine therapy), Jordan (my dietitian), and Amy (my therapist). While there are too many incredible staff members to name, they all made an impact. I even grew to love art therapy! The sessions were incredibly helpful, and I loved that we went on outings and attended church on Sundays. I cannot say enough good things about Selah House, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking healing from an eating disorder.

i loved this place out of the rest inpatient/residential places ive done. i was here 2 years ago when i was 14 for my anorexia; and this place truly did help my eating disorder the only main reason to my ed downfall was not having proper treatment when i left so please make sure your child has the proper care before discharging because i myself do not have a second chance with this place for my behavioral issues and being noncompliance at first when i was first there so please take in your chances with this place while you can, this place was the best ive gone to and being there truly did help my eating disorder i love the programming there, the food, and the staff are amazing and will help you with whatever issue you have going on!! just the chapel is homophobic💜!

From a very young age, I battled deep body image issues that led to restricting, purging, and treating my body in ways that were harmful. For years, I convinced myself I could manage it on my own or that I wasn’t “sick enough” to need real help. I had tried outpatient and virtual PHP/IOP care, but I wasn’t fully honest in my recovery and continued to hold on to unhealthy patterns. By the beginning of 2026, I realized I couldn’t keep living that way. I was exhausted and stuck, and I finally chose to seek deeper, more intentional help. Coming to Selah changed everything for me. What makes Selah so different is the way they care for the whole person, not just the physical side of recovery, but the emotional and spiritual healing as well. The staff truly see you, meet you where you are, and walk with you through the hardest parts without judgment. I never felt like just another patient, I felt known, supported, and genuinely cared for. During my time here, I began to understand that my worth is not tied to my body. I learned how to challenge the lies I had believed for so long and start accepting truth instead. The integration of faith was especially impactful for me, it helped me see that healing is possible and that I don’t have to do it alone. Recovery hasn’t been perfect or easy, but Selah gave me tools, support, and hope that I didn’t have before. I’ve seen real change in my heart and mindset, and for the first time, I believe freedom is possible. If you are struggling and unsure about getting help, I would truly encourage you to consider Selah. It has been a life changing experience for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the role it’s played in my healing journey.

Before Hickory I’ve never experienced any sort of rehabilitation. In ANY aspect of my life. I was WRECKED. So my expectations were very “surfaced”. The tools and practices the staff, therapists, BHT’s and even the front desk and office staff provide go beyond just the addiction part. Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. Spent 30 days at ICFR Indianapolis. This has been my first time seeking treatment and choosing self help on my own accord. Looking back I wish I would have done this years and years ago. I definitely could have and would be all the better for it. Things would be different however. I would have missed my chance to meet wonderful people. Between my peers and the staff there are many I will hold with me forever. However, there are two who I want to distinguish above all the others. Carla is my first. Her spirit is incredibly uplifting. When I came here in the mental state I was, she was a positive force that met me every single day with consistency and positivity. Between the silly and serious, I have enjoyed every encounter I have had with this woman. She made sure to do everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and help satisfy and wants or needs I had. She is an amazing person who offers kindness freely along with her goofy attitude. I will miss waking up in the morning to our interactions and will forever hold higher expectations when my morning sassy/snarky self is being handled so well. Pure gold this gal!! Second, I have to shout out Brittany (the other Brittany) also for keeping it real and consistent. Her laughter carries through the building and every time I hear it I know that it will be a good night. She has always been absolutely nothing but fair and has had an excellent sense of humor. Without it my nights would have been lacking most certainly. I will always remember this step of my journey and I encourage others to take the step if they are ready to do so.

The staff and treatment here has been really great here especially compared to other mental health out patient that I have been to here in the area. They are so supportive and very helpful as I begin transition back into normal everyday life after a long inpatient treatment stay in Mishawaka.

ICFR Caramel is undoubtedly an amazing blessing. From the moment I decided to seek treatment there. They’ve helped me all the way through. The intake staff, was very informative and took care of everything. Once at the facility, Pam Is a godsend. She’ll take care of every need. The groups are a nice size, so you’re able to discuss your issues and the therapist stay on topic. Carmela is amazing! She will work with you, to let you talk about what you’re going through and has so much wisdom it amazes me how she is able to encourage individuals in the group. I think we have one of the best nurse practitioners I’ve ever met, her name is Eve.. She takes the time to get to know you and really cares about how you’re doing and what your needs are. She’ll work with you if there’s anything you need. I highly recommend ICFR Carmel.

Not sure why VA Health gets a bad reputation with facilities like the Dayton VA Medical Center around. I have been using this facility for a year now and its been nothing but a positive experience. Staff and doctors have been helpful, understanding, and have provided top notch care. This facility provides care for everything possible and if they cant fit you in they will refer you out to community care. Only negative thing I can say is after the new system was in place messaging has become a little less effective. Hopefully that will get better after everyone gets better using it.

As a veteran, automatically I'm a fan of this place. They're in the process of major updates and remodeling, but that'll smooth out eventually. My Mom had Cadillac care there before she left us. I moved here from California largely for this VA center.
