Hamilton Center in Clinton, Indiana, has been providing support for people working through substance use challenges for nearly 50 years. It’s part of a larger network that knows what it takes to help you take the needed steps toward change. What we value most about them is their consistency across locations and the ways they’ve made it easy to
I've had to go there on multiple occasions. They were very nice and they tried to help me so much, though I am super stubborn when it comes to therapy, but regardless of how I am. They always try to find ways that'll work best for you when needing something to change for the better. My occasions, that I truly remember, were for major depression and how to healthily cope with it. Sally was my therapist for both times I went, and loved her. The 1 star review below was left by someone who likes to do that to businesses for the hell of it.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Indianapolis, Indiana supports adults suffering from addiction and mental health challenges. This clinic has programs specially designed for veterans, first responders, and professionals and the unique challenges they face during recovery. I really like that this is an inclusive facility,
I just completed their 28 day stay and it was pretty good. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. They bill your insurance so it's pretty much free, it dont cost any actual money. Thanks so much recovery village I appreciate the help and I am doing good still.

I am a former employee. I worked in the admissions department. I was there for three years. The last few months of my time there, I had a new director. Me and my other two coworkers were really excited to meet her, but she turned out to be the worst boss ever. I’m not trying to be dramatic, I’m literally telling you exactly how it is. She came in and wanted to make very unnecessary changes. She wanted to change our schedules that we did not sign up for, she wanted to change our process for time off without corporate’s permission, and there are a few other things, but this would take all day if I went through them all. We also caught her in a lot of lies, but anytime we confronted her about it. She would just deny it. There was no compromising with this woman. It was her way or no way at. The thing that really got me the most, was that we have to work from home during the evenings until 10 PM. She started to help us out with that but then informed us that she couldn’t do that at all in the month of May. All because she is a track coach. Well I was the last one left and was not about to work every single night in May, so that’s when I bounced. I knew if I did it once, she’s gonna want me to do it again and again and again. She’s a very selfish woman she only thinks about herself. You do have the opportunity to work from home, but when you need to, she throws a fit. It’s OK for her to work from home though. There were a few times when my kids were sick or my coworkers had a sick kid or something was going on where they needed to be home and had the opportunity to work from home, but she would say no, and we had to use our vacation time. But if she needed to work from home for any reason, she was allowed to. Is that really fair? No. It’s not. When she came in, she had three coworkers that were trained and knew what they were doing, and she ran all three of them off in a matter of three months. What does that tell you? Apparently the CEO doesn’t see an issue because she’s still there. Valerie is the worst person I have ever worked for. She talked so bad about my other coworkers to me that I knew she was talking bad about me as well. Long behold, she was. That’s fine though, I definitely talk shit about her as well. 😉 She is not a team player and takes all the credit that you work for. Not only did she treat her team bad, she talked to the BD team like complete trash. I even caught her talking to some of the clients in disrespect. Her job is to literally bring clients in to save their lives. Long story short if you want a job here, I would definitely go for any other department besides admissions. Unless you like being treated like shit. Oh, and also before I forget because apparently nobody knows about this, admissions get a quarterly bonus. The other departments do not. I never thought that that was fair, and I still don’t. You guys should probably change that.

Honest review and one not incentivized by the owner/director to leave a positive review. Past clients on here were likely asked to leave positive feedback upon their discharge simply to boost the Google ratings for this center typically making the reviews fake. That’s how all these places work. Review: Management, especially the DON, is unstable at this facility. High staff turnover. This residential treatment center is one step above a men’s shelter with low paid unqualified staff. Clients are just sleeping and hanging around doing nothing. Not much actual recovery treatment happening here. Many clients here in the judicial system. There are many much better recovery centers out there and would caution against considering Hickory Treatment if you’re serious about your recovery journey

You have to realize these people have guidelines they have to follow and with a little patience and ingenuity on your part is helpful. If you'll work with them they'll do everything they can for you but you have to put in some time and effort if you want results. I've been with these people for years and yes there's gonna be some disappointments but for the most part they have helped me. Just remember be patient and kind. The Hamilton Center was founded for a good purpose, and has a good mission statement. Unfortunately greed, and having a real problem with how they handle people that they don't like is this place's two major problems/shortcomings. 10 years ago I became suicidal due to very low levels of hormones, and the symptoms associated with this problem, as well as the chronic sleep deprivation associated with this problem. Ironically according to a local endocrinologist it was some of the medicines that I was on that caused this issue. Well at the time the people working there didn't recognize this, and I was labeled the wrong way which really upset me, and I had some things to say about all of this that they didn't like. Rather than in trying to put themselves in my shoes and understand why I said what I did, they came back at me, after I said some of the things that I did. I started having the local police harass me, etc. The Hamilton Center works with the local law enforcement often. And they seem to have the mindset that if we don't like you, we will have the cops give you problems, even though you've done nothing wrong, and aren't a criminal. It's pretty sad what's became of this place. Hopefully someday they will get some good leadership who actaully care and aren't so money driven, and bullies. There's been a number of people that worked here that's quit after they refused to drink from the Kool-aid so to speak.
