This would be my second time at river bend , When faced with the decision on which place I would seek treatment at , The only place I truly knew I would get help at was river bend . The staff there are so kind and respectful. They truly understand that no one wants to be there so they do their best to make it a better experience for everyone. I spent Easter at river bend and I am so thankful for the staff who truly cared and found ways to make the day a good one. Shout out to Corey for always be a good staff and making my experience at river bend a positive one and to Mindy (not sure how to spell names) for being an awesome staff and hiding Easter eggs for us and of course Ali for being an excellent nurse and advocating for me! I went to the ARC program here. Which is the addiction unit and it absolutely changed my life. The staff were absolutely amazing. Some of them are still major parts of my life and my recovery. I couldn’t be more blessed for my time spent there . Such an amazing place . The therapist were perfect. The leadership was perfect. I don’t have one complaint. And I gave them a run for their money and they never stopped showing me love and support. Thank you for saving my life !❤️

The MRT, sober school, and weekly house meetings is the core of the program. Over the year that I’ve been here I have been graced to know a lot of people. I saw what worked and what didn’t. This program brought me to multiple different meetings of recovery also. In the past this may have been a different program but as it sits with me it has been directly responsible for equipping me with the tools to START a lifetime of recovery though I will have to continuously upkeep my recovery in order to make it successful but this program is a great start. It’s a nine month program but I was able to stay longer because I don’t feel quite ready to leave. It afforded me the opportunity to continue to help new people coming in and improve my own abilities. I am now coming up on one year and I can confidently say the effort is not only proportional of my own work but the thought and attention of the program that is a living organism- growing and developing when required. It’s not a stationary object never to be changed. It’s being built on continuously through a team of kind compassionate and knowledgeable folks that are open minded and willing to review things that may no longer work or might work better.

My son goes here and gets therapy sessions weekly. He is very comfortable with the lady, she's very helpful. The only issue was lafayette office missed placed our two checks, then found found a month later. Other than that my son is improving n calmer.

The past year I felt like I was exhausted, losing strength, low motivation and more anxiety about my health. So I just want to start off by stating that this facility changed my life drastically and saved my butt! Quite literally. I came to FCRC a scared, shaking, & shy woman. I was a kid on the inside.
Mr. Jeff & Savannah saved me from myself AT LEAST 3 times from trying to walk out on my recovery because of issues on the outside (life continues even though we go to treatment, ya know). When I tell you I have never met a team of such caring loving & HONEST staff? I hadn’t until I walked into this facility. I graduated yesterday, with 44 days today under my belt. I had hopped on a plane from Houston TX not knowing anything but my Higher Power did. I am so beyond grateful to First City and their peeps. All the way from the Detox experience to my PHP part of my program, everyone was helpful and so kind. And that level of care? Hard to find. Aye, shout out to Bobby in PHP & IOP, that’s my boy!!! The lodge has an incredible staff of counselors and techs that absolutely cares about your recovery in a woodsy and relaxing environment that has access to a gym and 24 hour availability to people who can help with any issue that you might be having with recovery and access to food 24 hours a day ( so watch the belt line ) . Although the schedule is demanding they have a way of making seem that it is not over bearing ... They changed and saved my life and I know the staff can do the same for you if you want it ...
